Mustafa Khalil Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt The Non-Aligned Movement is risking losing relevance if it is to continue a policy of disinterest in global matters. We would like to point out on the stalemate in regard to Libya’s invasion of Chad. An unprovoked aggression. It is matters like these that require the immediate reaction of the Non-Aligned Movement to ensure that the principles of the United Nations Charter are being upheld and that our members do not become trapped in great power struggles. |

Sa'dun Hammadi Minister of Foreign Affairs We call for a vote on our resolution, seeing as while Iran thinks unbiased resolutions are "inherently biased", we and 99.9% of human beings think words still have meaning. We ask for a second to our motion. |

Ali Akbar Velayati Minister of Foreign Affairs Islamic Republic of Iran Of course Iraq is pressuring others to vote for the resolution. As I have outlined before, it suites Iraqi purposes well by implicitly blaming both sides thereby rewarding Iraqi aggression. Mr Hammadi is correct. Words do have meaning. In this case, they lump Iran in with the fascistic regime of the delusional Saddam Hussein, whose ultimate desire is forming an Arab empire on the ruin and genocide of the Iranian people. We oppose this resolution, and ask all nations with a sense of decency to oppose it as well. Aggression cannot be rewarded in these halls. |

Sa'dun Hammadi Minister of Foreign Affairs The NAM as part of its founding principles respected the sovereignty of third world powers and the prevention of empire building formulations, and we have no intention besides the defense of Arabia from a new Safavi Persian Empire where a new Qezelbash will forcibly convert using guns and meat cleavers all good, mainstream Shias and Sunnis to their radical form of hezbollahi ideology, where every man is a soldier of God to wage war on the whole world, and every woman is merely a womb chamber for the production of more soldiers for Imam Khomeini. We refer to the hundreds of NAM resolutions endorsing the rights of women, religious groups, and of sovereign states to say enough is enough, and that Iran's ideology stands totally against this organization's message and mission. Sa'dun Hammadi Minister of Foreign Affairs See! He laughs like a cynical, psychopathic machiavel with no care for his fellow man! Iran believes its schemes amusing, but I say to "Dr." Velayati that soon his time in the sun will end, and his terrorist organization of a government will no longer find itself the subject of any public attention whatsoever. |

Sa'dun Hammadi Minister of Foreign Affairs Regardless of your position, all delegates need to maintain diplomatic decorum no matter how far out their governments are. I call this session's chair to bring the Iranian delegate to order. |

Ali Akbar Velayati Minister of Foreign Affairs Islamic Republic of Iran I think this session lost its decorum the moment the Iraqi delegation began speaking. |
