Comrade Anatoly Fyodorovich Dobrynin | Soviet Foreign Minister The Soviet Union condemns in the strongest terms the illegal invasion by the Commonwealth hegemonists of the peace-loving state of Grenada. Without pretext of any kind the Commonwealth hegemonists have invaded and occupied Grenada totally lacking any justification and committed flagrant violations of international law. Further to that, the Soviet Union demands the immediate release of Soviet- and Eastern European citizens currently imprisoned by the Commonwealth hegemonists witinh 24 hours! Failure to adhere to our demand will have very serious consequences short and long terms on the international arena. We will not hesitate to take action by any means. |

Lord Carrington Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Minister Dobrynin, your concerns and criticisms are noted, however we felt it was prudent to act with haste following concerns that a coup may have been about to take place which would endanger civilians and throw the island into chaos. The island has been temporarily placed under colonial rule, administered by Paul Scoon as Governor-General and elections will be staged at a date decided by Mr Scoon. Regarding Eastern bloc, Soviet and Cuban 'workers', they will all be repatriated as soon as possible. |

Comrade Anatoly Fyodorovich Dobrynin | Soviet Foreign Minister Mr. Secretary of State, "Colonial Rule", you confirm your ulterior motives and bases your excuses on Western fabricated assumptions of "unrest". Hereafter you plan to "stage" an election, I doubt that this "staged" election will have any legitimacy. Fact is pretty clear, we have the Neo-Colonism on the rise and the first victim is Grenada. The Commonwealth Hegemonists have totally and utterly disregarded any international law in order to expand this new joint empire. Mr. Secretary of State, No you will not release Eastern bloc, Soviet and Cuban citizens as soon as possible! You will release them within the demanded framework, 24 hours! Otherwise we will take action as already informed. |

Isidoro Malmierca Peoli Foreign Minister We are disgusted by this blatant imperialism on behalf of the British state. I thought you were busy enough suppressing the freedom fighters in Ulster and occupying the lands of Argentina. Now you decapitate the movement which was democratically elected? For what reason? Why are you holding Cuban, Soviet and other European Communists as hostages and have killed several of our countrymen? We demand the release of all hostages to Cuba, the withdrawal of British soldiers and the reinstating of the Revolutionary government. Cuba has fought against South Africa and won and we will fight against your Imperialism as well. Long live the Revolution and Maurice Bishop! |

Lord Carrington Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Minister Dobrynin, I am sure that Soviet monitors would be welcome to join the Commonwealth and United Nations election monitors when Governor General Scoon feels the time is right to hold them. As we have discussed privately, foreign nationals will be flown from Grenada to Cuba immediately. Minister Peoli, it may have slipped your attention while your mercenaries have been busy inciting rebellion and murdering civilians and security personnel across the region and also in Africa, but Mr Bishop was not elected. He seized power in a coup and we had reliable intelligence that Mr Coard was preparing to oust him which may have seen the island descend into a bloodbath. We acted in the interests of the Grenadian people. We are not holding hostages, and Cuban nationals will be repatriated before nightfall. I will ignore the thinly veiled threats about 'fighting', however I will confirm that the British military presence will be withdrawn in the coming weeks save for a token force that will operate with our Caribbean partners to maintain stability and support the Royal Grenadian Police Force during this transitional period. Given your sudden interest in democracy and elections, would Cuba support a one party political system installed by the Commonwealth akin to your own, or would you prefer a model of true democracy that is alien to your own system? |

Isidoro Malmierca Peoli Foreign Minister This is another lie, perpetuated by the mother of Imperialism. I take it the Native Americans also needed saving from themselves? The White Mans burden is a real burden, is it not? There is a democracy in Cuba, it is the most democratic nation in the Americas. Fellow Latin American countries strive to accomplish what we have but can not develop due to the interference of your pay master. Cuba will not be threatened by you Lord Carrington. I am sure that we will not have to put up with your presence for long, for I am sure that the British steel workers will stand up and revolt and take back Britain for its people and not its lords! |

Ali Akbar Velayati Minister of Foreign Affairs Islamic Republic of Iran These condemnations truly do ring hollow and ridiculous. Iran is invaded by an aggressor with territorial ambitions; its people flooded out of their homes creating one of the largest modern refugee crises in recent history; its soldiers must contend with the illegal use of weapons of mass destruction as they seek to defend their homeland - and what does the international community do!? Nothing! Not even a peep from the Kremlin or the international communist movement. |

Lord Carrington Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs British settlers travelled to the Americas several hundred years ago. It is surprising that you condemn the migration of Europeans to the Americas as Mr Castro is himself the son of Spanish migrant. Will he be returning to Spain to allow native Cubans to administer themselves, or does your hypocrisy know no bounds! I do express sympathy for the Iranian Minister, and my government is currently considering ways and means by which we can offer humanitarian support to your government and to the Iranian people in this time of need. |

Agha Shahi Minister of Foreign Affairs The Government of Pakistan Pakistan stands with our friends in the United Kingdom, and pledges our full support to London should the Soviet Union escalate the conflict further. At the same time, we hope for the speedy and uneventful repatriation of foreign citizens from Grenada, and the hasty resolution of this conflict. |

![]() Hun Sen Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Kampuchea We warned the International Community that any intervention against our friends of Grenada will have consequences. The United Kingdom and its allies attacked a socialist brother just because they cannot tolerate the victory of marxism in a former colony. The People's Republic of Kampuchea will cut all its diplomatic relations with London and Australia in brief. |
