India is seeking to expand bi-lateral trade between India and Indonesia.

India is interested in the following:

- Increased Agricultural exports from India to Indonesia
- Investing in the Indonesian Energy sector(for export to India)
- Offering to construct new military vessels for the Indonesian navy(OPVs for counter piracy operations and any larger craft Indonesia may be interested in)
- exporting/sharing Indian Medical Technology/practices to develop Indonesian Healthcare

Would Indonesia be interested in any of the above areas for expanded trade or collaboration and/or have any areas where they would like to invest in India, increase exports or partner in projects?

The Indonesian government would be interested in closer economic ties with India, though currently it foresees few areas in which imports of Indian agricultural goods would be beneficial given its own thriving agriculture sector.

There is some interest in accepting investment from Indian firms such as Reliance, but they have no interest in being tied to exports solely serving India, preferring instead to be able to export freely on the global market, which they assert would benefit the companies investing.

They have no interest in acquiring Indian naval vessels owing to their own close relationship with Dutch and other European firms and their thriving shipbuilding sector.

They would be interested in developing closer ties in the medical field, particularly in the importing of Indian medical technology and pharmaceuticals.
