Week Ahead Forecast (22/2/14) By Gavin Partridge.

A "spring-like" weekend for most places.

Many places will be dry and fine with good sunny spells on Saturday. A weather system will bring cloud and rain to western Scotland and Northern Ireland, but the bulk of the country should have a very nice "spring-like" feel today. Temperatures will reach double digits for much of the south. Rain will spread down across Scotland and Ireland and north-west England tonight. Staying dry further south and east. A mild night for all. Rain will still be in the north-west, becoming light and patchy on Sunday, leaving the south and east mostly dry with on-going sunny spells. A very mild day with temperatures perhaps reaching 13C in places. The north of Scotland could have gales and many places will have fairly strong winds, which will just take to top off those temperatures. Rain will push across the country through Monday and Tuesday, some of it may be heavy. Colder air looks set to dig down from the north later next week.
