UK daily outlook - 26th June to 29th June 2014.![]() Heavy rain for the SW, Wales and Midlands An unsettled couple of days ahead for the southern half of the UK with some heavy downpours, but gardens do need a good watering! We will then enter a cooler phase from the north from Sunday and through early next week. Just isolated light showers around with most areas dry. Gradually becoming warmer by the middle of next week, but the north and west could become wetter again from next Thursday with rain reaching the south by Friday. Mainly fine over SE England on Friday, so good news for Wimbledon, but a lot of showers over the SW and up across Wales to the Midlands and East Anglia. Some heavy with thunder. 15 to 20mm of rainfall possible which may give local flash flooding. Cool but mainly dry in the north with the best of the sunshine over western Scotland. ![]() Widespread heavy showers across southern Britain on Saturday so disruption to play is likely on outdoor courts at Wimbledon, and brollies will be out at Glastonbury. Light winds though with temperatures 18 to 20C. Much cooler over the north and rather cloudy too for eastern Scotland and NE England with a few light showers. Temperatures here only 13 to 15C. Brighter to the west of Scotland and NW England. The showers in the south dying away in the evening with clearing skies. ![]() ![]() Sunday will be a mainly fine day for the south and a few showers over northern England. Feeling cool and fresh though with temperatures 18 to 19C in the south and only 13 to 15C in the NE. ![]() Next week Wimbledon should stay mainly fine until Friday. Just a small chance of an isolated light shower on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Friday could be a wet day though for much of the UK. Temperatures starting the week cool but becoming warmer by mid week. Source ...................... http://uk.weather.com/ |
