UK daily outlook - 3rd to 6th July.![]() Atlantic weather systems will gradually encroach across NW Britain this week, and becoming quite wet and windy by Friday. In contrast the south will remain fine and become very warm. Probably the warmest couple of days of the year so far to end the week in SE England. By Thursday the remains of a weak front will be lying over Wales and the northern Midlands with some drizzle over Wales. To the south it will become very warm again with sunny skies. Temperatures reaching 27C, possibly 28C, in the London area. A cloudy day for northern England and eastern Ireland with short periods of brightness while western parts of Scotland and Ireland will be quite cloudy with outbreaks of rain. Brighter though fro central and eastern parts of Scotland ahead of that occluded front. ![]() To end the week on Friday an area of low pressure will swing past northern Scotland and associated fronts will move southwards across northern and western Britain. Becoming windy in the north and some spells of moderate to locally heavy rain. NW England and later N.Wales may catch over 30m of rainfall. becoming brighter with scattered showers later in the far NW. The SE of England in contrast will have another mostly sunny and very warm day. temperatures again topping 27C. ![]() A much drier and brighter day across Scotland and Ireland Saturday as that area of low pressure continues to progress east. That cold front now bringing patchy light rain to the south-east and along the east coast of England but across eastern areas of Scotland the rain will turn heavier and more persistent. Brighter with scattered showers from the south-west to northern parts of England. Frequent showers will move into western parts of Ireland and at times these showers could be heavy and potentially thundery. A cooler day across the south with highs of 20 to 22C, elsewhere temperatures will typically top the high teens. ![]() A mix of showers and brighter spells Sunday with the heaviest of the showers towards the north-west and west. Some of these showers, like on Saturday, could become potentially thundery. Brighter with the odd light shower for the eastern half of the British Isles but overall largely dry. Highs of 21 to 23C towards the south-east, perhaps 25C in any brighter spells but elsewhere temperatures will range between 17 to 20C. ![]() Source .................... http://uk.weather.com/ |
