UK daily outlook - 22nd to 25th July. The UK is set for a lovely mid-summer week with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. There will be a brief cool down at the weekend then more very warm and fine weather next week too. ![]() There will be dry and mostly sunny weather across much of Britain on Tuesday. North east breezes will keep eastern coasts a little cooler, and some low cloud may drift off the North Sea to coasts in north east Scotland, inland temperatures reaching the mid to upper 20s. To the west, western Ireland will be more cloudy with showers. ![]() A very similar weather pattern for Wednesday with a large area of high pressure to the east of the UK over Scandinavia, and extending west over the North Sea to the UK. There will be plenty of sunshine and it will feel very warm away from the east coast, ideal for the start of the Commonwealth games with temperatures around 26C in Glasgow. There will be just a small risk of an isolated late afternoon shower over southern England and south east Wales. ![]() Only subtle differences by Thursday with much of Britain staying very warm and mostly sunny. There will be a slightly higher risk of a few afternoon showers in the south, from Hampshire and Dorset, west to Devon ad Cornwall. An isolated thunderstorm is possible. ![]() On Friday, pressure will begin to fall a little from the north, but it will still be generally fine and sunny or partly cloudy weather, and very warm. There will be a risk of some heavy showers or a thunderstorm over Cornwall and isolated thunder showers over central and north west England. Source .................... http://uk.weather.com/ |
