A mixed week ahead Rain mostly in north & west By Simon Keeling in Borth, Ceredigion 08:00hrs 28/07/2014 After so much hot weather last week, temperatures will be remaining warm again this week, especially in the south. However, the fine and settled weather that many enjoyed will be giving way to more mixed conditions, especially across Scotland and Ireland as well as the west of England and Wales. Low pressure north of Scotland will be bringing some fairly strong winds here too, with a threat of gales in the far north and west, but lighter winds again in the south. Fronts that do progress eastwards will be weakening all the time hence the reason for less rain in the east. The weekend looking okay at the moment; some showers on Saturday but fair for Sunday. However, do expect some changes in the detail for the weekend, so watch this space!
