Wednesday 13 August.

Sunshine and showers

Sunshine and showers continue across most areas during the remainder of the week
Showers heaviest and most frequent across parts of England and Wales on Thursday
Showers becoming increasingly light and well scattered by Friday with many areas ending the week dry and bright
Temperatures remaining slightly below average, particularly in any rain or showers
Early signs for the weekend is for a decent start, but increasingly wet and windy by Sunday

Wednesday

The remainder of Wednesday will see a continuation of the weather that has dominated in recent days; a mixture of sunshine and showers. The showers will be locally heavy, but there will be some lengthy drier and brighter intervals too. With winds somewhat lighter than recent days it may well feel a little warmer in the sunshine, but distinctly cool where any showers develop.
Thursday

Another day of sunshine and showers is expected on Thursday and in general the showers may well be locally heavy and thundery, especially across parts of central and southern areas of England where some localised downpours are possible. Parts of SW England and S England are at risk of seeing the largest rainfall totals with perhaps up to and over 20mm of rainfall falling in a short space of time which may bring some localised disruption. As is usually the case in-between the showers there will be some drier and brighter intervals.
Friday

The week is expected to end quite showery too, however compared with previous days the showers will be much lighter and far more scattered. As a result of this some areas may well remain mainly dry with some bright or sunny spells, especially across more western areas of the British Isles. The showers are likely to be most frequent across eastern areas of England.
Potential severe weather and temperature

On Thursday in particular torrential downpours and thunderstorms may bring some localised, temporary flooding and possible travel disruption, otherwise no severe weather is expected through the rest of the week.

Temperatures will remain slightly below average with highs ranging between 16C and 20C generally. However, temperatures may only struggle to 14C or 15C in any of the showers across the north and west.
