UK daily outlook - 19th to 21st August It will remain cool through the week under predominantly north to north-westerly winds. We'll see frequent showers Tuesday and Wednesday but by Thursday low pressure will allow more persistent rain to move in from the north. ![]() The Mubles Lifeboat Station. Expect another cool and fresh day Tuesday with scattered showers feeding in from the north and north-west. Those showers will become widespread and heavy through the afternoon, particularly along the Pennines and east coasts. Brighter clearer weather is forecast through the Midlands southwards. Top temperatures of 19C in the south but 13 to 16C farther north. ![]() A cloudier day Wednesday with further showers feeding in from the north and north-west. It'll be overcast with outbreaks of showery rain for north Scotland as an area of low pressure and associated occluded front sweeps past the north. Expect temperatures on the cooler side of average, reaching 20C in the south but 13 to 15C farther north. ![]() An area of low pressure will develop over northern Britain on Thursday, giving rain, heavy at times, to much of Scotland, northern Ireland and western parts of Wales and England. Scotland will observe the heaviest of the rain, especially over higher ground. There will be brighter weather through central and southern parts but still the risk of the odd light shower.
