5 Weather Week Things to Know
Hurricanes, rain, cool and warm ahead!

By Simon Keeling in Wombourne, Staffs 07:00hrs 20/10/2014

And here we go with our new working week, the 43rd of the year.

So what do you need to know about the weather this week? Well here goes....

1. Ex-Hurricane Gonzalo hits tonight and on Tuesday. Expect 60-70mph wind gust in the west, 50mph for many other areas.

2. Heavy bursts of rain associated with Gonzalo pass east tonight, then heavy showers.

3. Cooler Wednesday, lower wind speeds but still breezy, gales in far north of Scotland.

4. Rain slow moving in south by Friday.

5. Much brighter to north by then, but showers in west

Have a fabulous week, and take care in the wind later tonight and on Tuesday.
