UK daily outlook - 28 to 30 October Tuesday will be another dry and mild day for the Midlands and the south east half of England. Persistent moderate rain across southern Scotland and northern England will spread to Wales and central England during the afternoon and evening. It will turn colder and much brighter over the north of Scotland in a following north-westerly wind. It'll be a colder day for Scotland post cold front with maximum temperatures 10 to 14C; 11 to 15C for Ireland and northern England; 16 to 19C for much of central and souther England and Wales. Wednesday will be overcast with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle for much of southern England and Wales under a cold front stalled across southern England, but beginning to move slowly northward. There's some respite for Scotland, under higher pressure giving dry and bright weather, sunny at times. There will be gentle to moderate easterly winds and maximum temperatures 8 to 11C in Scotland and northern England; 10 to 13C across central England, Ireland & Wales; although 14 to 16C for southern counties of England. ![]() On Thursday we'll have a cloudy day with mostly light rain patches over England and Wales moving northward to Scotland on a gentle to moderate southerly wind. It will become dry over the far south east of England during the afternoon and spreading to the Midlands in the evening. Maximum temperatures 8 to 11C Scotland; 12 to 14C Ireland and much of northern England and Wales; 15 to 17C central and southern England.
