UK daily outlook - 4-6 November By Michael de Villiers, Senior Meteorologist On Tuesday early morning there is the risk of frost patches in frost prone areas under clear sky and light winds over southern Scotland, south to the Midlands, eastern/central Wales and parts of southern Northern Ireland and southern England. Otherwise, it'll be sunny and dry across the greater part of the UK, but a mixture of sunshine and showers along northern and western coasts in a moderate to fresh northerly to north-westerly coastal wind. There will be scattered rain showers for eastern and central Scotland in an onshore north-easterly wind, with the risk of light snow on higher peaks. ![]() A mostly clear night in a light to gentle northerly to north-easterly wind will result in chilly early temperatures and widespread frost away from the coast early Wednesday morning. Minimum temperatures will be broadly near to freezing and slightly below in northern Scotland. Otherwise, it's a sunny and dry day under higher pressure after a weak low with patchy rain clears the south-east of England. A little more in the way of cloud is expected over south east England during the afternoon. ![]() Expect widespread frost on Thursday morning across most of England, Wales and Scotland under partly cloudy to clear sky and light winds, especially for the eastern parts of Scotland and England where it will be mostly clear sky. Another deep low in the vicinity of Iceland will bring a return to wetter, windier and warmer weather in a moderate to fresh south-westerly wind with widespread rain across Ireland, Northern Ireland and western Scotland early in the morning - with heavy falls in places. The cloud and rain will reach across the whole of the UK by the evening, except Kent, East Anglia, and the extreme east of Scotland. At times the wind will be strong through the Irish Sea and along the Wales west coast. ![]() Source ............... http://uk.weather.com/ |
