Argentinean Navy corvette ARA ESPORA damaged in allision Thursday, June 02, 2016 Argentinean Navy corvette ARA ESPORA allided with anchored freighter in Puerto Belgrano Naval Base area, on Charlie anchorage in Bahia Blanca estuary, south of Buenos Aires, Argentine. Accident took place on June 1 or earlier, corvette drifted onto freighter after corvette’s anchor dragged. ARA ESPORA suffered serious damages portside, as can be seen on photo. No information on freighter and her damages available, probably it was a tanker. Argentinean Navy corvette ARA ESPORA (P-41), built 1982, displacement 1790 tons, speed 27 knots, crew 93, armament missiles, guns, torpedoes. ![]() Source:
