SUNDAY'S VOGAN'S VIEWS ON EUROPE: Strong T-Storms Could Become Widespread . While we've had 7-8 days of building heat over the UK and Ireland, these warm spells are often broken by strong thunderstorms. As the upper atmosphere cools overtop of this heat which doesn't leave easily will likely bring an increase in storm activity Mon through Wednesday before a big cooldown kicks in by Thursday.
