Jubilee forecast - looks wet Sunday
Better on Monday

By Simon Keeling in Wombourne 16:00hrs 01/06/12
Temperature: 18.6C Weather: Cloudy

I am so sorry I cannot give you better news on this one. Last weekend the outlook appeared so good and I thought we might miss the wet weather by a few miles.

But, such is a weather forecasters lot, things change, and they certainly have.

There are many events planned up and down the country on Sunday and so we'll take a look a the weather for that day, I'll update Monday later.

below is the rainfall chart for Monday afternoon from Weatheronline.co.uk. You can see how the more persistent rain is across Wales and central England. I'm hopeful that the rain to the south and east will be on the lighter and more patchy side, and so hopefully the pageant in London should not be too soaked.

The Midlands and Wales look set to be worse affected, and if you have events planned, now is the time to consider your plans for holding them indoors.

The rainfall showing over Scotland is only in the form of showers, and so here conditions will be much better with good spells of sunshine.

Notice southwest England becoming drier, I'm hopeful for a better end to the day here.

So, sorry folks, it all looks pretty yuk. You can get more detail for next week and beyond by watching the video at http://www.weatherweb.net/wxwebtvforecast.php?code=lDCThUOuMwI
