![]() >> Weatherweb Reporters << A much cooler end to the week What can we expect for Jubilee celebrations? By Emily Hall in Cambridge 14:00hrs 01/06/2012 Temperature: 16C Weather: Cloudy Temperatures will be dropping down to the low teens on Saturday except for the south coast of the UK where they will be remaining at a pleasant 17-19 C. Sunday afternoon will see temperatures as low as 9 C across much of the Midlands and central Ireland and 6-7 C in northern Wales, bit of a change to what we saw at the start of the week! East Anglia, London and Scotland will see the coolest temperatures on Monday with potential lows of 7 C. The good news is that these will be rising again for the end of the bank holiday weekend up to 14 C across much of England and 11 C in Ireland, although Scotland still remaining cool. Unfortunately the weekend doesn’t look to be remaining dry, but then what do we expect for a bank holiday! Sunday will be the wettest day with some heavy rain pushing in overnight from the south-west and lingering throughout the day, so it looks to be a slightly gloomy ride for the Thames river pageant. Make sure you take wet weather gear for anyone heading to London to watch! Hopefully the rain will have cleared away for the concert at Buckingham Palace on Monday evening. Keep an eye out on Weatherweb for updates. For anyone hosting or attending a street party this weekend the best weather will be in the north of the country where the weather should be remaining relatively dry although cool. The best day for outdoor celebrations is likely to be Tuesday, although I’m sorry to say we won’t be seeing much of the sunshine we’ve had lately. This shouldn’t dampen the British spirit though, after all we’re used to it!
