Heavy & Persistent Rain Spreads Across Southeastern England Tonight ![]() (Courtesy of MeteoGroup) A low positioned along the north coast of France is already feeding heavy rains into Kent and this will continue working north, northwest through the overnight. This area of rain will cover the Southeast and East Anglia through the early hours with the core of heaviest and most persistent rain slowly spreading into the heart of southern England through tomorrow eventually working into the Birmingham area by late morning or lunchtime. This will persist through a large part of Monday with totals perhaps topping 1-2 inches in places. Localised flooding is likely. The rest of this week looks unsettled with pulses of rain and showers. It will remain cool with highs only 14C in the North through midweek, 16C in the South. Late in the week a low will work east and spread heavy, persistent rains across all of the UK by Friday. More tomorrow. ![]() (Courtesy of MeteoGroup) Video link .......... http://youtu.be/EXkocmFZLD4 Source .............. http://www.markvoganweather.com/europe/2012/06/10/1892/ |
