Farmers Guardian weather expert - ME!
A special announcement

By Simon Keeling in Wombourne, Staffs 07:30hrs 26/04/2013
Temperature: 5.1 Weather: Sunny

I am absolutely delighted to announce that Farmers Guardian have shown their support for the weather videos and Weatherweb by taking me on as their weather expert!

The commitment made by Farmers Guardian's parent company, Briefing Media Ltd, enables a weather service to be developed, the likes of which have been long overdue to farmers.

Of course you will still get my videos through Weatherweb.net as well, but a daily, video will be made exclusively for the new service which is to be called FarmersWeather.co.uk This means the service will be available across all platforms, and through Arable Farmer and Dairy Farmer.

The daily forecast video will be recorded especially for http://www.farmersweather.co.uk/ and will be online by 12.30pm each day and I will be writing a weekly column for the Farmers Guardian newspaper.

There's a dedicated version of WeatherLIVE telephone service too.

I see this as the next step in the development of Weatherweb and the services we can offer. Although a stand-alone product, the FarmersWeather.co.uk video shows what we can do, and the potential of targeted weather services which give information above and beyond those of standard forecasts.

A big thank-you to all at Briefing Media and Farmers Guardian. These guys really do have the vision to develop weather, and are willing to take the next step to achieve it.

Also, a big thank-you to you. As regular viewers of Weatherweb.net you have proved the need for more-than-just-another-weather-forecast. Hopefully your using weather more intelligently and effectively, and can get the most out of advances in forecasting and my, sometimes, geeky ramblings!

I've many more ideas to implement, but one step at a time.

This could be the start of something big!
