Just reposting from the old fourms so i can can soley use this one so there isn't a split in members using old and new. my local Gw is making a super cheesy list april tournament and my eyes poped out of their skull when i read it. I wanna make a super necron cheesy list and i wanna do it with some lords of war. its going to be a 2500 pt game and everything is open for it. Here is what i have put togeather so far and i wanna get everyone's voice on it. Primary detatchment Hq: Nemesor Zahndrekh I don't know what kinds of list i'll be playing against but i figure having him with all his options will be great for my army adn for my lords of war Elites Triarch stalker -TL HGC I wish i had more points for a 2nd(and wish i had a 2nd stalker) because i use him as a force muliplier and with him making the unit i shoot at all TL vs'd it just makes one of my LOW choices that much stronger. Troops immortalsx10 tesla immortalsx10 tesla pretty standard with immortals ( i don't have any flyers so they are a no go) and with the stalker ill be making bunch of hits with them. with my 2nd primary detatchment ill have mainly gauss for anti-armor Fast attack Scarabs x5 heavy Spydersx3 -FCAx3 used for spawning more scarabs because hey more free points and for repairing one of the LOW i'll be bringing. LOW- Obelisk its a (semi) super monolith that gets rid of its blast/door/2av all around but switches out thex3 gauss for x5tesla which can be TL from the stalker and brings HUGE anti flyer/skimmer with its grav pulse 2nd Primary detatchment HQ Overlord -res orb -warscythe troops warriorsx5 Ghost ark Warriors x10 LOW Trancendent C'tan -Transliminal stride -Wave of witheringx2 With this set up i bring in two LOW and a decent force behind it for the exact point cost a mixture of silver tide/scarab tide/ and nasty LOWs. What says you guys!? |

Double force org WITH Escalation?!? Well, that is one nice thing about Necrons; buy 1 kit and get 2 LoW. |

I would dump the tesla on the Immortals and go with gauss. Unless you are facing a horde army the gauss will serve you better in the long run from what I have seen. |

My idea for a cheese list, try to let your opponent place and go first, and field the overlord, destroyers, wraiths and scarabs turn one, and then try to keep most behind cover for that turn. Then unless you get horribly unlucky you will start getting the scythes in (yes this is a flyer heavy list...I know you don't have them, but I thought it was a fun list to make). 2500 Pts - Codex: Necrons Roster - 2500 cheese list Heavy Support: Doom Scythe 1 Doom Scythe, ((C:NE, pg. 50); (DFTS, pgs. 60 & 70); Vehicle (Flyer); Death Ray; TL Tesla Destructor; Living Metal; Skyfire; Supersonic) Heavy Support: Doom Scythe 1 Doom Scythe, ((C:NE, pg. 50); (DFTS, pgs. 60 & 70); Vehicle (Flyer); Death Ray; TL Tesla Destructor; Living Metal; Skyfire; Supersonic) Heavy Support: Doom Scythe 1 Doom Scythe, ((C:NE, pg. 50); (DFTS, pgs. 60 & 70); Vehicle (Flyer); Death Ray; TL Tesla Destructor; Living Metal; Skyfire; Supersonic) HQ: Overlord 1 Overlord, ((C:NE, pg. 30); Infantry; Warscythe; Mindshackle Scarabs; Sempiternal Weave; Phase Shifter; Ever-Living; Independent Character; Reanimation Protocols; Warlord) Troops: Warriors 5 Warriors, ((C:NE, pg. 33); Infantry; Gauss Flayer; Reanimation Protocols) 1 Night Scythe ((C:NE, pg. 51); (DFTS, pgs. 61 & 70); Vehicle (Transport); 1 Access Point; 15 model capacity; TL Tesla Destructor; Deep Strike; Invasion Beams; Living Metal; Skyfire; Supersonic) Troops: Warriors 5 Warriors, ((C:NE, pg. 33); Infantry; Gauss Flayer; Reanimation Protocols) 1 Night Scythe ((C:NE, pg. 51); (DFTS, pgs. 61 & 70); Vehicle (Transport); 1 Access Point; 15 model capacity; TL Tesla Destructor; Deep Strike; Invasion Beams; Living Metal; Skyfire; Supersonic) Troops: Warriors 5 Warriors, ((C:NE, pg. 33); Infantry; Gauss Flayer; Reanimation Protocols) 1 Night Scythe ((C:NE, pg. 51); (DFTS, pgs. 61 & 70); Vehicle (Transport); 1 Access Point; 15 model capacity; TL Tesla Destructor; Deep Strike; Invasion Beams; Living Metal; Skyfire; Supersonic) Troops: Warriors 5 Warriors, ((C:NE, pg. 33); Infantry; Gauss Flayer; Reanimation Protocols) 1 Night Scythe ((C:NE, pg. 51); (DFTS, pgs. 61 & 70); Vehicle (Transport); 1 Access Point; 15 model capacity; TL Tesla Destructor; Deep Strike; Invasion Beams; Living Metal; Skyfire; Supersonic) Troops: Warriors 5 Warriors, ((C:NE, pg. 33); Infantry; Gauss Flayer; Reanimation Protocols) 1 Night Scythe ((C:NE, pg. 51); (DFTS, pgs. 61 & 70); Vehicle (Transport); 1 Access Point; 15 model capacity; TL Tesla Destructor; Deep Strike; Invasion Beams; Living Metal; Skyfire; Supersonic) Troops: Warriors 5 Warriors, ((C:NE, pg. 33); Infantry; Gauss Flayer; Reanimation Protocols) 1 Night Scythe ((C:NE, pg. 51); (DFTS, pgs. 61 & 70); Vehicle (Transport); 1 Access Point; 15 model capacity; TL Tesla Destructor; Deep Strike; Invasion Beams; Living Metal; Skyfire; Supersonic) Fast Attack: Destroyers 5 Destroyers, ((C:NE, pg. 43); Jump Units; Gauss Cannon x2; Heavy Gauss Cannon x3; Preferred Enemy; Reanimation Protocols; Bulky; Deep Strike) HQ: Destroyer Lord 1 Destroyer Lord, ((C:NE, pg. 31); Jump Units (Character); Warscythe; Sempiternal Weave; Resurrection Orb; Ever-Living; Independent Character; Preferred Enemy; Reanimation Protocols) Fast Attack: Canoptek Wraiths 6 Canoptek Wraiths, ((C:NE, pg. 44); Jump Units; Phase Shifter; Whip Coil x6; Fearless; Phase Attacks; Wraithflight; Bulky; Deep Strike) Fast Attack: Canoptek Scarabs 7 Canoptek Scarabs, ((C:NE, pg. 45); Beasts; Entropic Strike; Fearless; Swarms; Fleet; Move Through Cover) Total Roster Cost: 2495 |

@unholyLlama yup double FOC with two LOWS i thought would be one of the cheesiet things possiable and with necrons getting a 3 for 1 with their low i picked up one of those and currently modding it with magnets so i can have it in w/e setting i want. @joe the gauss vs tesla is a tough pick i went with the tesla for buckets of wounds for MEQ and TEQ the gauss is nice for pretty much everything else but will only do about the same amount of wounds to MEQ and the like, with rerolls on the tesla they come out ahead by a little bit. they along with the obelisk and AAbarge act as my anti-flyer, if i see alot of people arn't running those types as much ill switch them out to gauss. |
