HQ:
Overlord: Warscythe, SW, MSS, phase shifter
Obyron

Royal Court:
Veiltek
Lord: Orb, SW
Lord: Warscythe, SW

Troops:
10 Immortals: Gauss
10 Warriors
5 Warriors

Elites:
5 Praetorians: VB/PC

Fast Attack:
4 Scarab bases

Heavy Support:
Annihilation Barge: Tesla

So, here's the plan: The Overlord, Obyron and the CC Lord go with the Immortals to make a true shock unit, the 10 warriors get the Orb lord and the 5 Warriors get the Veiltek. The Praetorians usually arrive turn 2 or 3, deep striking right where it hurts (or at least close), the Scarabs tie up dangerous units, draw fire and eat vehicles. The barge just shoots at whatever it can see, which seems to work better than it sounds. The Immortals jump around the board, running rings round my opponent (I advise everyone who'll listen to try it out, you won't regret it), the Warriors usually work together for the first turn or so, but after that the 5 go their own way (they work better as 2 squads, amazingly). I'm just looking for some general feedback about the list, and I normally face Dark Angels, CSM and occasionally Tau or Tyranids. Look forward to hearing what you all think.

Also, this is my entire army at the moment, although I've got another few warriors kicking about in sprues, but I think I'll convert them into Deathmarks.

If you play in a casual and or fairly new group this will do.

However not to make you feel bad.
I think you lack body count or armour protection to last long.

Yeah, that's been a bit of an issue already, but they're survivable enough. I do normally play casually, except for against the DA player, who literally takes your codex to check every rule you say. Because he despises losing.

I'm planning on getting Wraiths, as any good Nemesor should, except Zahndrekh. But I'll put them in a list together, I don't care. The best part is that 3 of them & 5 Deathmarks fill exactly 200 pts.

Could you elaborate on the shock unit strategy? It has three CC-character with gauss-immortals which are rapid-fire weapon. You can fire those after you used Obyron’s mantle (turn 1) because you can’t assault that turn; but on the next turn(s), you would have to forfeit their firing if you want to assault (as per current 6ht rules!). Wondering if tesla carbines (assault1) might not be more efficient

From that list, you could have the two independent characters join the praetorians so in this case, DS with the mantle turn 1. Then the praetorians can assuredly assault turn two instead of turn 3+ based on reserve roll. You can split them after that to allow the praetorian to jump around at best movement. The veiltek would be available to DS the immortals, which has become my favorite tactics lately.

I know that I have to forfeit my charges, but I've been working to clear out 20 points from the list somewhere so I can promote my OL to a Phaeron. Until then, I'll just make do without. It's less than convenient, I know, but when I tried it with the praetorians they just weren't expendable like Immortals are, plus I can get 10 Look Out, Sirs, 20 Attacks when charging (albeit without any benefits and at S4) and still the same 3+ saves. Although Praetorians work better on paper, for some reason Immortals work better in practice. And I actually don't mind just saying they have Teslas sometimes, because I'm normally playing casually.

And last but not least, to answer your original query; I use them almost like a hit & run unit, engaging a unit, breaking away and shooting them from afar before the enemy's sure what's going on. It works especially well against the DA Deathwing knights, as the player usually swaps their ranged weapons to pistols & such to get more attacks. He is not a fan of Obyron, and actually once told me he wouldn't let me use him. So I got a game with someone else.

Ok, I've now changed the list to make the OL a Phaeron. All I've done is removed a base of scarabs, and the CC lord now has a gauntlet instead of a Warscythe. It's an OK trade-off, and thanks for reminding me to do that.
