HQ: Destroyer Lord (MSS, SW, TA) Nemesor Zahndrekh Or Necron Overlord (SW, PhS, Phaeron) Troops: 5 x Necron Immortals (Gauss) Night Scythe 5 x Necron Immortals (Gauss) Night Scythe Fast: 9 x Canoptek Acanthrites (DL is here) 8 x Canoptek Scarabs (if NZ is chosen) Or 9 x Canoptek Scarabs (if NO is chosen) Heavy: Annihilation Barge Annihilation Barge 2 x Sentry Pylon (Focussed Death Ray, Sepulchral Scarabs, NZ or NO is here) NZ or NO is going to eat wounds, so Pylons could stay alive longer (no Look Out, Sir :((( ) Just can't decide between NZ bonuses and Phaeron's Relentless for Pylons... Immortals - if it's a tactical objectives mission - you may need to drop you troops earlier than 5th turn, and make it live actually, so i guess Immortals are better for that. Scarabs - it's still nice unit to: destroy Vehicles, destroy Buildings, make some units stuck in melee, kill 2+ wounds model (hello Sv2+ obliterators loosing it's armour save after each first wound!) Tachyon Arrow is for Instant Death attempt (Hello Daemon Prince!). Preferred enemy gives it nice chances. Actually the fact that Tachyon Arrow is there can make enemy act less aggressive. Also Tachyon Arrow can be used to deal a penetrating hit to some not very tough Vehicle. NZ or NO, NZ or NO, NZ or NO... Any comments? |

Nz or NO depends a lot on the army you are playing against. If the enemy army is a gunline, your deathray pylons will need 1-2 turns to get into position...NO would be nice in here because this way pylons can walk and shoot. If you are playing against an army that comes towards you, NZ could be nice because your pylons may remain stationary. However, I think both would be best...you could open up the points by dropping 2-3 Acanthrites (I think 9 of em is maybe a bit overkill) and/ or some scarabs. Tachyon arrow is usuable, however I dont see the need of a oneshot S10 AP1 weapon when you got 2 pylons in there. However Tachyon arrow with Zahndrekhs tankhunters is quite reliable at penning an enemy vehicle. |
