Two D-lord silver tide; featuring the tactic presented in the tactics subforum

Hey there, here a shiny new silver tide, using the boosts that destroyer lords give the warriors
1850 points, 2 FOC

HQ
Destroyer lord with scythe, weave, resorb, MSS
Destroyer lord with scythe, weave, resorb, MSS

Troops
19 necron warriors (one D-lord in here)
18 necron warriors (one D-lord in here)
5 necron warriors in GA
5 necron warriors in GA

Fast attack:
5 scarab bases
5 scarab bases

Heavy support:
2 Canoptek spiders
2 Canoptek spiders
2 Canoptek spiders
Anhilation barge (tesla)
Anhilation barge (tesla)


Note: The list is pretty stabby . Just advance everything towards the enemy while farming scarabs (hide scarabs behind warriors the first turn).
For 2+ enemies: Gauss-spam, spiders or D-lords
For tanks: Spiders, scarabs, Gauss spam, D-lords
For hordes: Gauss-spam, anhilation barges, tarpid with scarabs
For MC: Spiders, D-lords, Anhilation barges, tarpid with scarabs
For fliers: Anhilation barges

D-lord boosts the warriors (PE, safety) and splits off when necesary (may join grown scarab units after splitting off)
Warriors are hard to kill due to mass, res orb and GAs.
Spiders are to rip apart everything.
Lots of scoring (objective secured)

Try to overrun the enemy!

Any thoughts?

I quite like it actually. Uses Destroyer Lords very well for something other than assaulting (I almost spat out my hot chocolate).

My only contention is why the 2 Force Org charts?

The two FOC because I had 2 HQs anyways and 4 troops anyways....so its tempting to just use more than 3 heavy support slots.

Obviously, this is just one way of running the thing. The core are the two D-lords, 2 big blops of warriors and 2 small units of warriors in a GA.

Then I figured: spider spam would be nice, so I added those (6 MC is nice in the end...)However If you wanna go cheese you could also use 3 Doomscythes & AB...or go 15 wraiths (half of em coiled)...or just go 6 AB and have spare points left...a lot of posibilities.

Not all tournaments allow such clever use of the force organisation chart but I tip my hat to thee!

I agree the core is the infantry. I think the best way to play this army is to ensure you have a skirmish screen or intercepting force to protect your Warriors from assault. Sure the Destroyer Lord can Sally forth, but it's always good to have other sacrificial distractions if needed!

I wonder how TO will handle the foc options. Not played a big tournee yet.
I assume here it will be legal.

Those options are pretty awsome.

True that about tournaments, however in the end the 5 HS are not needed. As said, you could just take 3 doomscythes and for the spare points some CC-distractin as Idaho suggests
