I'm going to be playing in a 1500pt. torny soon and there is one item that I can not finalize. I have 60 points to spend and I can't deside to spend it on a res orb and a tac arrow an over lord in a ccb or put the points into a small squad of 3 tomb blades or 4 scarabs. What to you guys think will get me the most tactical bang for my buck. |

For a single model the res orb is only a small improvement in the res chance. I'm assuming the overlord is all kitted out for close combat so why pause him to shoot an arrow? On the other hand, a unit of scarabs is a wonderful tactical tool. The enemy can't afford to ignore them as they will totally wreck his armor. Cheap enough to throw away, but even with their poor toughness and saves my scarabs often soak a an incredible amount of fire, and if even one lives till the next round it spells doom for some armor! And they are quick enough to use as objective grabbers. |

Yeah, for a single model a Res Orb isn't worth it. And NEVER take a Tachyon arrow. Overpriced and underpowered. |

Yes. 4 Scarabs with 4 wounds, Entropic Strike, and are Beasts is something your enemy cannot ignore even IF its only 4 bases!! |

3 Wounds, not 4. On the other hand, if you're running Maynarkh, you can take 3 Maynarkh Scarabs for 60 pts-good for a Monstrous Creature killer. |

I agree, scarabs are a great addition to any army. Small squads can hang out with foot-soldiers and dual-charge to help counter sweeping advance, plus put the hurt on deep-striking dreadnaughts/drop-pods for easy kills! ;) |

Even a small unit can pose a threat or grab an objevtive! Scarabs are the way to go |

another possible support-thing you can do with 60 points would be an aegis line. this however depends greatyl from your army (and if you even have an aegis) If not I'd say: Scarabs are the way to go! |
