So Anrakyr, whilst travelling, came across an ancient, dusty tomb world of sand & pyramids. There he awoke Rameses XII & his Queen Nefertiti (old metal Necron lord conversion & Khalida (Tomb Kings) conversion) - will use the Zandrekh & Oberyn rules, photos to come).

Meanwhile, here's the doomsday ark (unfinished). Hieroglyphs took a while & I still need to wash the bronze & add a bit more detail. The wires coming out of the front of the cannon are for an LED. Just drilled a hold through the middle before assembling, wires & battery pack will go underneath on the stand (still waiting for arrival from ebay...).

WOW. I really like the amazing detailing you've done with the Heiroglyphics. How did you manage to do the head bit at the front?

Needs moar Necrosphinx.

The head at the front of the arc was from a set of Scibor Egyptian heads, I had high hopes for them for Warrior heads but they were too big, so I started thinking about using them for scenery & conversions - it almost looks a little Viking by itself - might be an interesting side project to do a Viking Longship Ghost Ark with shields on the side & a mast?

the heads are here - hope it's okay to put a link, if not my apologies & Mods please feel free to edit/delete

The green lights on the back are LEDs from Maplins (a couple of quid for a pack). Cut the spare wires off, bit of green stuff & glue. They don't work (unlike the cannon!)

Unfortunately, time had taken it's toll on some of the legions (going to use these as reanimation markers... as you can be probably see at least one isn't very happy with it...

Meanwhile, out of the largest pyramid, awoke a shard of one of the old star gods, to serve its Necron masters...

Right, messed this up completely, all were supposed to be in order with some explanations & a bit at the front to say NOTHING IS FINISHED YET (yes, there's always space for improvements...). Slowly getting there though...

Nicely tied together :)
Shame the RP markers aren't really needed any more, they'd still make fantastic objective markers though!

Dig the look and feel of your army! Really love the idea of units caught mid reanimation protocol. If for nothing else for Display boards!
