Hello all,

This might only be my perspective, but I've always thought that the models for Tomb Blades looked a little... off. Now that they are mandatory for Decurion Detachments, looks like I'm going to have to take them haha. Does anyone have any conversions or counts as that I can use so my eyes don't bleed? I'm thinking of taking the pieces from the standard model and rearranging them to see what I can come up with.

I've been looking for alternatives as well but have not found any decent alernatives that are also cost effective

If you can live with no rider but a bit more drone effect
check out x-wing models. Imperial has some cool stuff.
Like the phantom.
But standard tie is cool too.
Does cost a bit. but usualy there are discount

This is the best TB conversion I've seen (although I like the wheel-esque ones).

The original, metal Necron Destroyers were jet bikes back in 3rd edition. Depending on how good you do on Ebay, you can pick them up cheaper than a box of Tomb Blades.

I use them as proxies for when I take more Tomb Blades than what I own.

I've also seen a picture of someone who took 4 shields from the Lychguard pack and made a conversion with those being the "jet/hover" points of the model. I'll have to see if I can find the pic.
Also - Puppet Wars has an interesting Cyber Cycle alternative model - http://puppetswar.eu/product.php?id_product=78

Those are the pilots that come with the tomb blades.

Along with the original tomb blade parts, one uses a current spyder aft body and a destroyer body(my current favorite). The other uses 2 destroyer bodies.

I bought a lot of used destroyers off ebay for cheap. I am messing with some ideas for conversions of my spyders to replace the aft bodies i will be taking from them.

i just had a funny thought....
what do you think about a "sassy" cron riding a rainbow rocket fueled by fun and laughter just for "lols"?

what do you thinks its chances of surviving the battle are?

I would love that! Not the whole unit, just one crazy one. You could then try to have him survive all game long :D

Completely different thing: I was wondering...if you have those destroyers-backparts...couldnt you use 2 halfes of them to make like "T-fighter-tomblades"?...Kinda hard to explain what I mean, but maybe you get the idea.

Speaking of starwars style One could make "wings" that look like the Tie fighters/interceptors by taking two Dispersion shields and putting them on the side
