I've seen a few people planning on using Nagash as a C'tan model, but how about something a little more humble?

Do you think the Morghast could make for a decent Transcendent, or are they too puny for a true Shard of the Star Gods?

What an awsome model
Size looks about right.

It would make a good one for the flayer shard

Wow that thing is rediculous. It almost has an egyptian skeleton feel to it, and would probably fit right in with Necrons if you put the right paint on it. It doesn't look puny at all.

Also: Just looked at some of the Fantasy stuff, some of those things are really cool.

Also Also: What is a Flayer Shard? not to derail the thread or anything.

--The Curse of Llandu'gor the Flayer

Flayed Ones are Necrons who go about wearing the bloody flesh of their victims. victims of the Flayer virus, a program error where they develop a desire to reclaim their flesh and blood existence by devouring the flesh of the living(And since they don't have any kind of digestive system, the eaten flesh just falls down through their ribcages)
It's the end result of the C'Tan known as Llandu'gor the Flayer, who was not sharded like the others, but completely destroyed.

BUT was he...... perhaps one splinter shard infected a necron.
Growing and corrupting converting the body of the Necron in a full shard.

Well I looked down a size comparison picture for the Morghast:

Looking at that, they do look "healthy" enough to be a Monstrous Creature of incredible and unknowable power...

And the box comes with two!

If I played with a C'tan I would definately steal your idea and use the Morghast lol...

I thought maybe I was missing out on yet more rules for a Flayer Shard.

Yeah, that looks VERY shardy to me. Looking at that sizing, I might onvert one into a Heirotitan for my Tomb Kings...
But tbh, I don't think trying to force Lu'Landu'Gor into the fluff would work very well. The whole Flayed One thing came about BECAUSE he was completely destroyed...Which just makes you wonder, does each C'tan have a 'Death Curse' that affects whoever destroyed them? So would killing the Deciever infect Necrons with Tzeentchian-style plans?

The fact there's 2 in the box, I'm very tempted to use them as transcendent c'tans. Good idea

yeesh looked at the price of the box $60(usd) for the two. It is a small saves around $14(usd pre-tax) but only if you plan on running both. Or you want them for fantasy and 40k.

It's all relative.

Considering the price of one Tesseract Vault kit, I would think it was a bargain. Especially when you consider the questionable usefulness of the Obelisk, which is all you could really make out of the rest of the kit without doing further kit-bashing and model buying.

A conversion I'd consider for one of them would be to use a flying peg and green stuff over the wing inserts. Making them more 'floaty' and less dependent on the wings for base support. Bore a small hole in one foot and marry that up to the peg & base.

I like the idea. A lot but I am not sure what I would do with the extra one.
I was thinking of using this. It is about 7 inches tall (177.8 mm) but it may be too tall? And I am not sure how it would take to paint.
Sorry if I am highjacked this posting. :-/

I support that ^ only if its painted without underwear. Really get your opponent to feel true terror.

It's not like Transcendents are Unique like the Nightbringer and Deceiver.

Obviously running two is for the higher point games, but perfectly viable.
