This my first post of a WIP for my Necron Decurion detachment, the Alcázar Dynasty. I have already taken many photos, but will posting them little by little as to not overwhelm you all with a blast of pictures. I'd like to start my first post with my Flayer conversions. I am converting 14 Warriors form the Battleforce box to Flayers. I am using various unused blade bits from Necron ranged weapons I've saved during my assembling of the army.

This 1 of 14 of my Flayer models:

Lastly, my Overlord conversion. I used a Destroyer's hand to hold a piece of red sea glass as a Resurrection Orb.

Is it just me or is that "rez orb" not spherical???
Oh well. Looks very nice. I just can't help but notice the squatting stance in the first photo. Of course it is necrons so I really shouldn't be complaining.
Would love see them painted.

Hi there! I'm currently undertaking the same process of Flayed One conversions (my results can be seen on this subforum). I really like the pose on your first FO, I might try to emulate it. Your Overlord looks really cool, too. Are you going to paint over the glass orb pr keep it that colour?

The orb is slightly more oval than round. The best I could find online so far. I'm going to be using the same red glass with black sand for my bases.

The orb isn't currently glued. I'm going to glue the sea glass once the paint is done.

I used blades from both the warscythes and hyperphase swords.

bleh i was hoping not... I'm currently doing my own modeling project to get three boxes of lychguard/preatoriens out of one (and a box of warriors). Liking the baseing so far that is all the red stuff and where did you get it?

I bought the red sea glass from Etsy.

Should I add sand to the sides of the base or leave clear? What about sand on sides and bottom?

I would leave sand off the side. It's just a personal preference but one of the great things about 40k is its customizability.

I appreciate the feedback. I've been given similar advice from other players. I think I will leave them clear. Thanks!

I've been working of warriors this past week. I airbrushed a bone colored base coat and washed it in dark sepia. I then fiddled around with the sole finishing details. I'll be closing in on the installing the red rods and bases for my first twelve warriors.

Really? I thought he looked a bit like he was on a skate board, that first flayer. The rest, well obviously they're just doing what they need to to get kills.

Pretty cool though, conversions are always fun, and I bet a bit challenging with the Necrons, since there aren't nearly as many 3rd party random robots that can fill in as sweet models. The one sad thing about doing flayers like that though is their lack of actual flayed skin on them. Such a great feature to have that "leatherface" type motif on them.
