Instead of individual threads for each project, I'm just gonna post my stuff here and hopefully be motivated by the project of bringing my Necron army together and up to date.

Today I did manage to get some work done on my Flayed Ones, but since I brought the Wrong Wash, I stalled. I did take the time to get my Objectives mostly finished. Just some dry brushing on the base and DONE!

Flayed One photo didn't upload, so I'll have to get those up later. Hope to work on them some more tomorrow.

Seconded.

Clear acrylic blocks with transfers put on? Very cool idea, I like it a lot, although it almost looks like it would block line of sight.. or at least line of fire. Objectives probably don't by default though, so I assume it's not a problem.

Yeah, we usually ignore all Objectives for LOS purposes and treat them as impassible terrain so no one parks a LR on them. It makes it easy to deal with and doesn't limit creativity.

I had some more time off today, and got my FOs done today.

Certainly have the unique advantage. The daggers themselves are cool, but I just can't be that excited when they're missing their glorious Fresh-flesh-blankets®.

Maybe I play too much Vampire Counts, but I need blood-soaked bodies.

Not bad, I really like the Gem in the staff, it looks nice. The eye parts too; It all looks fairly well, although I would say that the staff draws a whole lot of attention to itself, and really steals from the focus of the model. There isn't a shot where you can full on see the staff and his whole self from the front that well, the one has a pretty dark shadow on the staff from above. But my point is, it might be a good idea to "flesh" up the head he's holding, to create a sort of counter-balance to the visual weight of the staff? Because as it stands, his whole body AND the dead-head are all super grey scale (The head is what, slightly green-ish?), and it makes the staff seem like the most important part of the model. Unless that's what you wanted, then it's all lights green.

One of the problems of being Color Blind is that very reason.

Yes, the staff does stand out, and no it's not intentional. I just wanted it a bit forward rather than just straight in the air, for ease of measuring distances (ie, not dropping the tape measure on the model). He's a decent sized model and I had no idea that he was on a 40mm base until I bought him.

I didn't know what I was going to do on the staff and it was the last piece I painted. I just got the White Dwarf and decided to try out the Plasma Glow effect figuring if I hated it I can always paint over it. The lighting is real bad and so most of the body is hid in shawdow, but outside of his breast plate, it's the same weathered copper tone that the rest of the army is (use the Flayed Ones above to get an idea). It also casts a shadow on the head. I'm going to probably revisit the head later, but when I did 'Flesh is up', it blended too much with his armor.

As is, it's going to stick. It stands out in the unit of Warriors I put him with, which is really what I was trying to achieve at this point. Thank you for the input though.
