Influenced by a tactica in another forum which I can't remember. This list actually got me hyped to try out instead of my usual moping around, complaining and waiting for a codex.

The idea is tightly formed ranks of immortals dishing out wounds with Overlord-MWBD support, synergized with rerolls via the Stalkers targeting relay. Screened by scarabs which, if neglected, can go hunt supportunits or objectives during the second half of the game.

The Pylon is of course dedicated antitank/monster/titan and needs well prioritized direction för its big gun, whilst giving itself and the infantry some well deserved invulsaves.

Scarabs, Overlords with scythes and Anrakyrs Pyrrhian aura should help with fast assaulty units.

The list suffers with immobility and too fast or longdistanced shooty armies, I think.

Spoiler: click to toggle

Does MWBD +To Hit apply to Overwatch?
Given the immobility of the Pylon, is it better to set up for invulsave aura or drop in?
Thoughts, critique, advice or suggestions?

For the Silent King! :lord:

A pretty decent list just a couple things:
1. I don't know how much those on foot overlords are going to do. Obviously, their limited maneuverability and the fact they're tied to the Immortals makes them tough to work with.
2. Might be better to get a 4th unit of scarabs rather than 3 big units.
3. MWBD does not work on overwatch. Overwatch specifically states that only natural rolls of 6 hit and to ignore modifiers.
4. Where to drop your pylon depends on the game, how many Immortals you lose first turn, etc. Often it is a good idea to drop it in the opponents deployment zone for linebreaker. The really important thing is that you need to make sure it has line of sight to a lot of places, nothing is more annoying than a misplaced pylon not able to see all of your opponents vehicles.

I think 2 overlord are a bit to much. 2 are more expensive than 1 squad of 10 immortals. The +1 to hit doesn't create more hits than a full extra squad. A cryptek for enhanced durability might be more effective.

You have a complete fast attack detachment in there, at least separate that out for the extra cp

I recently had a game with this list vs primarily Alaitoc Eldar which kind of tosses the list on it's head with all the negative To Hit modifiers.
I did however enjoy a lot of success with the Pylon. The change I myself made was to replace Anrakyr with the named FW cryptek Toholk the blinded. Providing a reroll to Seize, invul/RP aura for the immortals when they advanced and an upgraded Living Metal to the Pylon for survivability. The whole Immortal/Overlord/Stalker Targeting Relay didnt pay off, but the Alaitoc pretty much negated the whole thing. Still think I've got something there, though.

Regarding the Overlords; yeah, three might be a stretch. Two and a cryptek should suffice. I like the sense of security of including Toholk, although +60 pts on another cryptek for rerollable Seize and upgraded Living Metal on the Pylon is probably not worth it.

I had great success in deploying a tight phalanx around the Pylon, with a wide screen of scarabs. The Triarch Stalkers and Pylon could really go to town on enemy big ones, instapopping a Wraithknight turn one and continuing to dismantle vehicles on threat-priority every turn from long range.

Tlinds advice on a third detachment locked up the possibility of forming a fourth unit of Scarabs as per Quinten87s suggestion. I also agree with Blitzel about too many overlords.

Revised list should be as follow:
