Woes of a forbidden hero; Umed's Writings

I'm going to use this thread to keep record of all of Umed's Poems. Also, suggestions are more than welcome.

Piece 1: "New Recruits" Post#8

"Lovers have not been lost;
it's the love that's been smothered
Our powers are not lost;
it's the time being murdered

Why are the hearts so hollow
Of those with eyes deemed so hallow"

Piece 2: "New Recruits" Post#10

"Not all heroes are born from dust
Not all in power succumb to lust

Titans are those beyond humanity
Be they good or be they bad

Heroes are the same
Nay men of ordinary name

Heroes, indeed
Are those beyond need"

Piece 3: "New Recruits" Post#10

"They call it hope
I call it need

They call it desire
I call it conscience

They call it moral
I call it guilt-"

Piece 4: "New Recruits" Post#10

" Heed not my words,
for they are not to be heard.
But if you ever judge by the looks,
may you end up like the books."

Well, I must say, I enjoy that you are creating a moral message with such short stanzas, but do you ever think that you will use it in a story or finish them off?

Why thank you, I'm most certainly honored by the fact that someone would actually enjoy them. :)
To be honest, I have absolutely no idea. At the moment these are merely excerpts from my character's alter-ego's works that he recently burnt to dust. I would say that they were somewhat spontaneous as I wrote them in response to certain posts in a thread. I will have to think over it.

I enjoyed them quite immensely as I read through the thread several times, just soaking in its comedy, and tension, waiting for the moment to join the fray! that its those wonderfull poems that gave me my perception of your character, whenever I read his dialogue I hear a very specific voice and boyis it awesome!

Thank you, I'm glad that it had such great effects. Your comment renewed my hope in using experimental writing for my novel.
