Note: The unit below is not his canon unit, since he still uses a stock Trooper. However, this would be what Archer would use if given the chance. That being said... Note 2: I did indeed lift the first paragraph of the units technical and historical notes from the Trooper. The follow-up paragraph explains the few changes to the machine. === General and Technical Data Model number: MAU-01/AL Code name: Trooper (Archer Lowelle Spec) Unit type: custom mass-production general purpose mobile suit Manufacturer: ARUS Industries Operator: Earth Federation First deployment: November 10, 2221 (Frame), January 7th, 2222 (Mods) Accommodation: Pilot only, in standard cockpit in torso Dimensions: 17.3 meters Weight: 67.2 metric tons; 74.4 metric tons w/ Full Armored Jacket Construction: Titanium composite alloy Power plant: fusion reactor, power rated at 2010 kW Equipment and design features: Sensors, range unknown, Full Armored Jacket; Sealant launchers, located in fingers; Dummy launchers, located in fingers; Fixed armaments: 2x GAU-27 30mm CIWS, fire-linked, mounted in head; 2x M1C Beam Saber, stored on backpack; Optional mounted armaments: None Optional hand armaments: 102mm Machinegun, fed by 60 round drum; 65mm Beam Rifle, power rating: 5.2mW; Bazooka, fed by 6 round mag; Shield; "Jagdnagel" 40mm combat shotgun, one round in chamber, fed by 7 round magazine; Technical and Historical Notes The MAU-01 Trooper was developed at Carson Base in Alaska for the purpose of countering the Zodiac Alliances ReGIN and ReDIN mobile suits. Built from the ground up, the Trooper is built to be able to operate on any terrain and in any region. Its basic design features a pair of CIWS in the head which helps the mobile suit deal with intercepting missiles and taking out infantry and light armored vehicles. The main weapon is also split between two choices the standard 102mm Machinegun and then the newly developed beam weapon system. While it does drain the reactor faster than using regular weapon systems, this gives the Trooper an edge over the Zodiac Alliance's mobile suits. Following the battle at the Lunar base, the Trooper also receives a full armor jacket option. Visually, there is nothing different about this Trooper and others, though the key differences lie within. Redesigned arms allow for the application of sealant and dummy launchers, the former of which to provide emergency repairs to allied mobile suits and ships out in the field, and the latter of which to disrupt enemy targetting sensors when deployed. With the progression of time and technology, they have become equipped with rudimentary verniers to imitate movement and register on enemy heat sensors, further adding to the illusion. The addition of this admittedly minor tech has also provided a slight increase to the unit's weight. Finally, due to pilot preference, the unit can elect to carry a "Jagdnagel" 40mm combat shotgun for close-range engagements or combat within areas where damage must be minimized. The unit serves as Archer Lowelle's mainstay ride, and despite being customized, does not fly any unique color yet so as to not draw attention to the units unusual additions until it is too late. |
