Naruto: A New Era uses basic stats as a means of gauging a character's capabilities. Other than that, the stats do not play a significant role in this roleplay. Below is a quick overview of each stat. Strength [STR] - Pretty straightforward. A character's strength determines his/her physical power. Each stat point invested in Strength allows a character to lift 50 lbs, unaided. If strength is maxed out at 10, your character should be capable of lifting 500 lbs by him/herself. Speed [SPD] - Another straightforward stat. A character's speed determines how fast he/she can sprint and move. Each stat point invested in Speed allows a character to sprint at 10 MPH. If speed is maxed out at 10, your character should be capable of sprinting at speeds of up to 100 MPH. Character's can always follow the movements of other character's that are two stat points higher than them or lower in speed. A character whose speed is three stat points higher than your character will be too fast for your character's eyes to keep up with, however. Stamina [STA] - Stamina determines how long your character can fight and sprint before becoming winded. Each stat point invested in stamina allows your character to sprint for 2 posts or fight for five posts before becoming winded. A winded character needs to rest or cease fighting for 1 post before he/she can resume. A character whose stamina is maxed out at 10 is capable of sprinting for 20 posts or fighting for 50 posts straight before becoming winded and having to take a break for 1 post. Accuracy [ACC] - Accuracy determines how well your character aims his/her projectile weapons. Each stat point invested in accuracy allows your character to hit a circle 10" in diameter 20 meters distant 1 time out of 10. A character whose accuracy is maxed out at 10, will hit a 10" wide target at 20 meters 10 times out of 10. This does not factor in moving targets, dodging, or blocking. Chakra [CHA] - Chakra determines how much chakra your character has to perform his/her jutsu. Each stat point invested in this stat gives your character 50 Chakra Points or CP. A character with maxed out chakra at 10, will have 500 CP. Each rank jutsu a character uses will deduct an amount of CP from a character's total. When that character reaches zero, he/she cannot use anymore jutsu--excepting jutsu that do not use chakra, such as taijutsu. Below is a chart detailing how much CP each rank of jutsu deducts when it is used.
Control [CTL] - Control determines the rank of jutsu your character can use. E-Rank jutsu can be used by any shinobi. For every 2 stat points invested in control, your character can use the next rank up of jutsu. For example, a character 2 stat points in control can use D-Rank jutsu. A character with four stat points can use C-Rank jutsu, and so on. A character with a max control of 10 can use S-Rank jutsu. To increase your character's stat points, you must post a new topic in this forum with the template below pasted in it. You can increase multiple stats at once. Increasing stats cost XP, which your character earns by participating in roleplays and missions. The cost to increase stats differs. Below is a chart detailing the cost of each stat point increase.
As you can see, different ranges of stat points differ in prices. For example, to increase a stat point from 1 to 2, it would cost your character 50 XP. Increasing from 1 to 3, would cost your character 100 XP. Increasing from 1 to 4 would cost your character 175 XP. Going all the way from 1 to 10 would cost your character 875 XP. If you're confused, feel free to contact a staff member asking for help. Here's the template for increasing stats:
