I'm a big Kinks fan. Who doesn't love Ray Davies' onslaught at describing life. Village Green and Arthur were amazing LP's....or records/albums to you non vinyl record buyers.

You seriously never heard of an LP or a vinyl record? LP stands for Long Play, EP...extended play, then you have 45's which are singles that have a song on each side. 45 stands for 45 RPM which it is played at. LP's play usually at 33 1/3 RPM.

I've listened to a couple of digitised LPs, I'm sorry, but give me CD and stereo recording any day. Nothing quite beats the nostalgic look and feel of vinyl though, and come the End of Days, quite useful for passing the time once the power has all failed, I suspect :P

*raises her hands*

Sorry! :(

I was raised on CD's.

My grandmother, on the other hand, would know what those terms meant.
