1. There is no formal location that citizens can comment to on governmenthe legislation. The only existing sites are the community ones, which are likely insufficiently serious avenues for the discussion of weighty issues such as those to do with government. 2. The recent movement by Senator Anumia towards motion and citizenship control is redolent of a declaration of martial law. 3. Recent comments by Senator James Narya are dismissive towards and thereby jeopardize one of our oldest diplomatic relations simply on the basis of several former citizens (dual or otherwise) moving there upon their renunciation of Ainurian citizenship and repudiation of our government. Overall, as a long term member of the Ainurian region, even if only relatively recently a member of the forums, I see a very rapidly growing and thereby terrifying trend towards the centralization of power within the hands of the Senate, rather than in the position of the King as it should be. Coupled with decisions by the Senate that the King 'need not concern himself with' the judiciary, particularly in light of the fact that the King found against one of our Senators, that the Senate has recently acted in the name but against the nature of Democracy by declaring Senatorial positions open to appointment by sitting Senators, and the silencing of my questioning the Senate when I asked questions concerned about its recent actions, all lead me to strongly question the continued commitment of the elected officials of Ainur to creating a community and safe haven. I know nothing of Mr. Mountbatten, and make no comment upon his character; but I am familiar with the character of Senators Anumia and Narya, if largely through observation, and this shift is puzzling, worrisome, and greatly unexpected. |

Fine. I've posted the topic there instead. I'm not sure why you couldn't simply move it, with admin powers, but I'm not especially worried about having to make a new topic. |
