| What is New Hyperion? New Hyperion (NH) is a region of NationStates. It is an empire built on the principles of Hyperionism, our guiding philosophy. Great! How do I sign up? Hold on there, buddy, you haven't even registered yet! You'll have to scroll up (or just click here) and take care of that first. After that, take a look at those four forums at the top of the list. The Low Orbit Welcome Wagon is where you can apply for Plebeianship and introduce yourself. You can undergo Patricianship if you're interested in leadership. For everything else, go to Imperial Service. What if I'm a diplomat? Go to the Immigration Desk instead, and we'll get you masked. What's the government situation look like? Our region has three main levels of command: the Imperial Council, the Inquisition, and the Hyperion Senate. The Imperial Council (IC) consists of the Autarch, Chancellor, Lord Inquisitor, High Lords, and military command. It assembles when sensitive or secret decisions need to be made. Its members otherwise act separately as department heads and administrators. The Inquisition is the law enforcement of the region. Inquisitors ensure that all members are complying with any requirements currently set in place, and, along with the Lord of Development, also controls admission into the Patrician caste. The Judiciary, our courts system, also exists as part of the Inquisition. The Hyperion Senate consists of all our Patricians, and is the primary body of law and policy. The Senate operates somewhere between a democracy and a mob, and doesn't necessarily need hard votes to get things done. While the IC is technically superior to the Senate, it is more common for the Councillors to participate as Senators. As such, the Hyperion Senate tends to be the most important part of the entire government. Is that it? Of course not, that would be dry and boring. Granted, the Hyperion Senate is about as boring as a discussion on abortion, but you probably don't want to deal with its squabbles and silliness 24/7. That's why we have the Imperial Service and the military. The Imperial Service consists of the various departments, such as Foreign Affairs and Recruitment. All departments are volunteer-only, though enlistment and training in the Hyperian Guard is highly recommended for all members. In general, however, you will be encouraged to join under-staffed departments. Oh yeah, didn't your recruitment telegram mention an RP? Why yes it did! While we allow other RPs, of course, our main RP is the one that sets the standard of our theme and culture. It's kind of complex and involved, but once you get the ball rolling it's about as smooth sailing as any other RP. What if I need help? Pop us a question. Our patience is legendary. You may also check the Great Library of Trantor for answers to some of the more common questions. |

The Jarl waited at the train station, eagerly waiting for the first shipment of cookies from his new allies. These weren't any ordinary cookies. These were soft chocolate chip cookies. These cookies could reduce crime by a huge amount. If only the cookies would arrive faster...

1800 PATS This is an emergency broadcast statement from the Mayor of Port Alexandria. Hello Port Alexandrians. I am here to tell you to the first rain band of the Hurricane is moving onshore to Port Alexandria. Winds from this point are expected to be at approximately 135 miles per hour and gust upwards of 300 miles per hour. This is a Category 5 storm with the city under a Hurricane Warning as well as a Tornado warning. We can expect tornadoes to run through the western and southern suburbs of the city. As well, this is an alert to all those who live in the southern districts of the city. Your seawall has been breached. Either through malicious intent of act of nature, the reinforced seawall has been collapsed. Diversion channels have already been open, but be mindful of the constant danger of rushing water coming into your homes and businesses. Finally. any person caught outside during the storm will be arrested on the spot. This is for your safety. The entire city is on lockdown and no transportation out of the city will be provided until the end of the storm. The northern train line to Stanton has already sustained massive damage. The damage of the other train lines and infrastructure is unknown during this time. Be safe, and may the gods go with you. End transmission The Capital Region of Port Alexandria, Miricano The Quadrant Military Headquarters -- 1850 PATS By the time Ramos arrived at the Quad, visibility was already below 1/8 of a mile and the wind made it so you couldn't stand up straight. Paper and trashcans rolled around in the street and several trees were down along the main highway. Ramos knew the island would sustain most of the damage, but he hope they would rebound in time. Ramos walked into the Quadrant and headed to the elevator. After putting in his keycard, getting a retinal scan and as well a fingerprint scan and voice verification, a secret panel slid out from the side of the elevator. Ramos clicked the the B20 button on the panel and waited as the elevator descended 500 feet into the ground. After the 4 minute journey, Ramos stepped out into the control center of the entire Miricano Military, Secondary Forces,Special Operations, Royal Air Force and Naval Guard. Men sat with computers in the entire room, monitoring current situations in world. Ramos saw the heads of all the military branches in their separate offices planning the next line of attack on the enemies of Miricano. General Talbot, Chief of the Armed Forces stood in the center of the whole operation, where he watched the large screen in the front monitor the Atlantic Basin via Geostationary Satellite. Prime Minister! It's good to see you. How are things on the surface? Changing, to say the least. Any new updates? Talbot motioned Ramos to sit at the glass desk in the middle of the room. Talbott poured them both a glass of whiskey and sat down at the table. The attacks on our severs from Laurentus States have been slowing down over the past 12 hours. Do we know why? We are getting reports of some type of coup in Laurentus. Not all the details have been made clear yet, and we haven't received word from Fletcher yet in two days. Security over there is tighter than a drum at the moment. I'm sure he is fine. The man can get out of any situation. Now about this coup. What are we looking at here? A large scale overthrow of the current ruling family. There might even be civil war. This is just great. Can we capitalize on this situation? Unfortunately, we can't do anything in this storm, but afterwards sure. Now what I was thinking wa- General Talbott, Prime Minister Ramos. You need to come over here and see this. What are we looking at here? It is a geostationary picture taken about a minute ago. It seems there is a squadron of planes heading toward the island. If we look at the radar imagery, we see it is about 12 planes. Whose planes are they, commander? If our pictures are correct, they are Laurentian planes. You can see their insignia on their wings. General Talbott turned to Ramos This is a Godsend. They are in the middle of the Atlantic, in international waters and they are on a direct course over here. Um guys. Their planes are in formation to turn around. We need to make our move now. Do you agree Ramos? Ramos though to himself about international fallout that might ensue over this, but the image of his son being taken brought him back to reality. Do it. General Talbott sat at the command desk in front of him and put on his communicator. This is General Talbott ID number 57 Gamma Epsilon 3 Charlie 21 requesting a medium range Surface to Air missile attack from position 23.1333° N, 82.3833° W to enemy at 17.706828 N, 38.144531W. Hostile is active and moving fast. This is missile control. You have been green lighted with 4 interceptor missiles. Good luck Talbott began to type in the coordinates and use radar heat signatures to track the plane's movements. After calculating for speed and Earth's rotation, Talbott issued the order to fire the first missile. They would have to wait until they got direct confirmation from missile control to see their next course of action. Talbott sat back in his chair, with his hands behind his neck and waited for missile control's response. Edited by Miricano, Feb 7 2015, 04:55 PM.

Gamma responded to Maximus' question with an expletive, and then began speaking into his communicator. "Omicron, what the hell was that??!" She responded almost immediately. "Going off of the chatter on the Port Alexandria emergency frequency, a seawall was just breached. An explosive, apparently." Gamma looked at Maximus and said, "Seawall. Bomb." Then he turned his attention back to Omicron. "Contact Colbentielle; let them know what happened." "Got it. Oh, by the way, a message from the boss. The embassy staff are leaving the city via monorail tomorrow. If you can send images of our new friends to the State Department, the embassy will have Staff IDs for all of you by the time they leave. If you can get to the embassy before they head out, you can get out with them. Omicron out." This opened up a whole new set of possibilities for escaping Miricano. After explaining the seawall situation with a little more detail, Gamma told Maximus about the chance to escape with the embassy personnel. They decided to head back to the safehouse to talk it over. Diplomatic Packet TO: Prime Minister Ramos, Miricano FROM: The Department of State, Colbentielle Since you have forbidden an airlift out, the Colbentielle Department of State is sending a special monorail to pick up its embassy personnel at 0900 hours tomorrow. I'm not sure why you wanted an armed motorcade driving through your capital, but that's what you'll have to put up with now. Thank you for your continued helpfulness and cooperation. Muri Em'Lei Secretary of State of Colbentielle The Office of the Regent Executorium Complex, Maglium, Colbentielle Colberius X sat at his computer terminal, occupied with the day to day running of a country. He was just about to sign off on a new education law when his computer informed him that he was reciving a call on the priority communications channel. "Onscreen." Joc looked at the Regent from his computer screen. "Regent," the intelligence man said for a greeting, tilting his head in deference. "We have a situation." Colberius grunted. "We already have several, actually. Laurentian planes are en route to Miricano and Ramos won't let us airlift our people from the embassy. Not to mention the hurricane that's barely going to miss Captionis." Joc grimaced. "I've got worse news. Remember that coup I mentioned in Laurentus States?" "The one that was making it impossible to contact anyone in authority about our intelligence teams?" "That's the one. Well, Voldric seized power. Then Interim-Emperor Maximus shot him in the face. So Voldric's cronies killed him." The Regent was nearly speechless. "Damn." "We had managed to get a man inside the building during the chaos of the coup, too. If Voldric had waited another ten minutes, our man would've found Maximus, and possibly prevented his death. As it was, our operator saw the whole thing unfold. Got a video of it, if you can believe it. I advise offering the recording as a gift to Emperor Laurentus, once we find him." "I'll keep that in mind," Colberius said as he closed the transmission. The Regent sat in silence for several minutes as he pondered the day's events. First it was Nathan about those planes. Then Muri called, regarding Ramos' stubbornness about the embassy. And I can't forget Deimos stopping by to tell me about that money Adrian found... And now this coup. What else could possibly– Colberius' thoughts were cut off by the calm voice of the computer, telling him that he had another call. He sighed, dreading what else had happened. "Onscreen." Joc reappeared, and Colberius mentally swore. "What now?" "An explosive device took out one of Port Alexandria's seawalls." "Do we know who caused it?" "No idea. I'll have–" Colberius cut him off. "Don't bother. I want our operators out. If they can get to the embassy..." "Ramos has made it illegal to be outside." "Find a way." "We'll get 'em out." Neither man said anything for a minute, and then the Regent ended the conversation. "Keep me posted." Once again, the Regent sat in silence, alone with his thoughts. My personal opinion of Ramos should have no bearing on our willingness to help in a time of need. Port Alexandria is going to need aid workers and supplies... The Regent let out a frustrated sigh. "Computer, contact Prime Minister Ramos' Office." Gamma and Maximus had just gotten back to the safehouse when the Mayor's message was broadcast. After everyone sat through the message, the two leaders shared the opportunity to escape with the embassy staff with their respective teams. All of the Colbentiellians agreed, it was worth the risk to get to the embassy. Gamma glanced over at the Laurentians, still debating the pros and cons of risking arrest. He hoped they came to the same decision that his team had. AEGIS Command Centre Praetorium Complex, Maglium, Colbentielle Lieutenant Dellonz couldn't believe his eyes. An alert was flashing on his screen. In his four years in the AEGIS (Anti Endoatmospheric Guided projectile Interception System) Command Center, nothing had ever set off the alert. Now, his training took over. "Commander, we have a high velocity projectile launching on an intercept course with those Laurentian aircraft. Requesting visual confirmation." The commander called up realtime satellite imaging of the mid-Atlantic, using coordinates from Dellonz. He magnified the image and found himself looking at a Miricanian Interceptor missile. The commander glanced at the red button on his console. He had never needed to press it before, and this could be his only chance to. He pressed the button. Alarms sounded throughout the complex and at AEGIS installations around the country. The Praetor was in the Praetorium Tactical Centre in under two minutes. The assembled staff were briefed on the situation, and Nathan Minro opened a line to the Regent. Minro spoke concisely and tersely as he informed him of the current situation, both the missile launch and that the aircraft were changing course back to Laurentus. Colberius only took a moment to reach a decision before he spoke. "Their missile has to skirt our airspace to reach the Laurentian aircraft, correct?" "Yessir." "AEGIS is ready to intercept this and any other projectiles launched by Miricano, correct?" "Affirmative." Colberius paused for a few seconds. "Do it." Without hesitation, Nathan Minro gave the order. "AEGIS-3, this is TacPrime. Standby to fire two Venator SAMs. Feeding you targeting data now." "TacPrime, this is AEGIS-3. Target confirmed. Standing by for launch." Minro glanced at the image of the Regent; he nodded curtly. "You are go to launch." Seven seconds later and many miles away, two small rockets streaked into the sky. There was no going back. Having just closed the link to the Praetorium, Colberius sat back in his chair and rubbed his eyes. What is Ramos thinking? Those planes are in international airspace, and they were turning around... I made the right choice. He opened his eyes. For the second time that day, he found himself saying, "Computer, contact Prime Minister Ramos' Office." |

As some of you might have known, we have begun to suspect recently that Colbentielle's government is likely to have played a part in the delays of Miricano's monetary transfers: we quickly looked up their policies involving their banks and were surprised by how careless Ramos was. Colbentielle et alii are likely to believe that these underhanded monetary transfers are a sign of a secret alliance between us and Miricano. Encrypted Message TO: Director Harry Smith of SIA CC: Minister of Defense George Wheeler, Minister of State Helia Baker FROM: First Consul William Xavier Encrypt Key: ************************************** Decrypt Key: ************************************ Dammit. Oh well. It's already been done. Harry, I'll follow your suggestion of routing money through less prominent and more isolationist countries such as Genesis and Noladea; I've sent a message to Ramos about that. Helia, try to maintain neutrality for the present and keep us out of this conflict, and if necessary, try to diffuse the problem, especially for us. George, prepare for the conflict, in case it comes to us, but don't make it too obvious for our rivals. We might be forced to ally with Miricano. Likewise, the reverse might happen. In any case, we must be prepared. That should be all. Edited by taulover, Feb 9 2015, 12:15 AM.

Department of External Affairs, Port Alexandria, Miricano "Give me everything you have on the investigation for Roen," demanded Heimdall. "Sir, we're not authorized-" began the department director. "Either you give it willingly, or we'll take it by force," stated Aragonn. "Take your pick." The Director looked frightened as he was imagining all the things this barbarian might do to him. "Gentlemen, I'm sure we can come to an understanding without the use of violence," interjected Heimdall. "See, my Jarl here has been requested by Ramos himself to find Roen. If you really need authorization, why don't you ring up Ramos? I'm sure he'd be absolutely delighted to hear that you're hindering my Jarl's progress." The Director hesitated for a moment, thinking it over, before saying, "I'm sure this one breach in protocol will be fine." "Good man," said Heimdall. "Now, tell me what you have so far." "The culprits weren't caught on camera or seen by any of the guards, and all the guards are accounted for." "Is there any forensic evidence that they were there?" "None. These guys were ghosts." "I see. This had to be the work of operatives. List the enemies of Miricano." "Well, there's Frostmark, the Laurentian Empire, and Colbentielle." "Colbentielle? When did this occur?" asked Aragonn. "Just now when they decided to fire missiles at our missile strike. We were targeting some Laurentian planes that were heading for our airspace." "Perfect..." "At least we can narrow down the list of possible insurgents," stated Heimdall. "Frostmarkers are isolationists and Colbentiellians would never resort to such tactics. The only enemy left is the Laurentian Empire. These operatives had to be from there." Aragonn called Ramos with his wrist communicator. "Ramos, you have Laurentian operatives within your borders. We believe that they are responsible for Roen's kidnapping." Midgard Serpent Fleet, Atlantic Ocean, North of Frostmark Waters "Sir, we're approaching Frostmark waters," stated the captain. "Give the order to stop where we're at," ordered Kommander Gunnar. "Aye, sir." The fleet came to a stop and dropped anchor. "Send this message out to Frostmark. "We come here on a diplomatic mission. We wish to speak with Reichskanzler Falkenwalde about peace between our nations. Please respond with your terms for our entrance into your waters." "Message sent, sir," said the comms officer. "Now we wait." Valhalla, Asgard, The Aesir Empire Brunhilde was looking over reports from the Guard outposts in Vanaheim, Midgard, and Svartalfheim. They showed unusual activity sighted on the northern coast of the Laurentian Empire. This does not bode well, she thought. She then called up the generals. "Put the Guard on alert and have all aircraft fueled up and ready for takeoff. We may find ourselves in a position to defend ourselves." "Yes, ma'am. Hail Aragonn." "Hail Aragonn." She ended the call. Edited by Aragonn, Feb 11 2015, 03:58 PM.

TO: Reichskanzler Wilhelm von Falkenwalde, Neupreußen, Kaiserreich of Frostmark FROM: First Consul William Xavier, Vivaldi, Democratic Empire of Science Your Excellency: Considering recent events on the global scale, which have brought our community of nations closer together yet have also sparked some unpleasant events, I would like to discuss possibilities of agreements in non-aggression and peace with your great empire. Thus, I suggest that we open negotiations to this end; it would be a great honor if we could visit the Kaiserreich on a mission of friendship and peace. Best regards, William Xavier First Consul of the Democratic Empire of Rationalist Science, Lord Steward and Regent of Science TO: Emperor Laurentus, Laurentus States, Laurentian Empire FROM: First Consul William Xavier, Vivaldi, Democratic Empire of Science Your Imperial Majesty: First, I would like to personally thank you for your generous gift of chocolate chip cookies to the Democratic Empire. They were very much appreciated by both myself and my people. Second, I offer my condolences for the current rebellion in your nation and the great toll it has taken upon your esteemed family. In light of recent developments, particularly in the nation of Miricano, I would like to suggest opening negotiations of peace and non-aggression between our two empires. Therefore, I believe we should discuss a location to meet and discuss such openings of peace and harmony. Sincerely, William Xavier First Consul of the Democratic Empire of Rationalist Science, Lord Steward and Regent of Science TO: Jarl Aragonn, Drekiheimr, Asgard, Aesir Empire FROM: First Consul William Xavier, Vivaldi, Democratic Empire of Science Your Imperial Majesty: Given recent events in the international stage, I would like to extend an invitation to the Aesir Empire towards negotiations of peace and friendship. To this end, I suggest that we open negotiations for furthering such a cause between our nations. We sincerely hope that such negotiations could be the beginnings of a new dawn in the relations between our two empires. Best Regards, William Xavier First Consul of the Democratic Empire of Rationalist Science, Lord Steward and Regent of Science TO: Regent Colberius X, Executorium, Colbentielle FROM: First Consul William Xavier, Vivaldi, Democratic Empire of Science Your Excellency: First, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience that my nation may have caused you when we used one of your nation's banks as an intermediary for transactions from Miricano. It appears that a mild security precaution that the Miricano government decided to take with one of our large transactions has resulted in this situation: we all know how prestigious and well-reputed Colbentiellian banks are. Given recent world events, the Democratic Empire are concerned that a conflict may break out that is not in our nations' interests. Therefore, I would like to extend an invitation to Colbentielle towards negotiations of peace and non-aggression. My people sincerely hope that such negotiations could be the beginnings of a new peace between our two nations. "Oh gods. Sir, they've launched four tactical missiles to intercept us. Intel comfirms this." Laurentus was amazed. Were the circumstances any different, he might have found Ramos to be a worthy ally. The man was obviously fearless, just as Laurentus himself was. But he didn't have time to admire Ramos right now. "Sir, more intel is coming in! The Colbentiellians have launched their own missiles, and based on their trajectory, they have done so to intercept two of the Miricanian missiles!" Laurentus began laughing maniacally. "This should be good. We have enough time to hack one of the Miricanian turrets, do we not? We've already weakened their defenses with waves of viruses and hacking attempts. Do it, and send it flying directly to their military command HQ. Shoot one other down, and let us turn our party toward the Colbentiellian missiles, let their missiles intercept the Miricanian ones, and get the hell out of here. We still need to head to Hatoria." Once more the jets turned around with amazing speed and opened fire on one of the missiles, which exploded in the air. There were now only two missiles left, but Laurentus had overestimated the amount of time he had to get out of the situation, as one missile came flying right into the aircraft directly behind the jet he was piloting, killing the 300 or so soldiers that were on it. He swore under his breath at the loss of his assets, and sped away toward the Colbentiellian missiles, which intercepted the remaining missile just in time to save the jet that his second-in-command, Markus was piloting. He could hear that his men were shaken up, but didn't have time to pretend any sympathy right now. "Good job, men. I want half of you to head to Colbentielle on a diplomatic mission under General Markus's command, and the other half will come with me to Hatoria. I've seen now that the Miricanian missiles are fast, but not fast enough to intercept our jets while we're at full speed." Laurentus quickly turned around and sped away, this time directly to a Hatorian aircraft carrier that packed enough missiles to level a city, where he would pick up more soldiers as well. He also heard the message General Markus was sending to the office of Colbentielle military command. Voice message from General Markus to Colbentielle Military Command, sent just outside Colbentiellian airspace This is general Markus of the Laurentus States Armed Forces. Thank you very much for your swift intervention with the situation we just had. Your missiles saved my life. I come here on a diplomatic endeavour, ordered by emperor Laurentus himself, to treat with the Colbentiellian government. I request entry for myself and my men, and we will submit ourselves to any security measures you deem fit. End Transmission General Markus let out the breath he had been holding for awhile now. He didn't completely trust these foreigners. Nor, for that matter, did he completely trust his emperor anymore. The man is a demon, Markus thought to himself. Jarl of The Aesir Empire

Sveigdir Armory Main Research and Development Facility, Svartalfheim Province, Aesir Empire Akaz Sveigdir looked up from his blueprints and schematics as a group of Miricanian engineers walked into the workshop. Akaz sighed as he got up. I hope they don't make a total fool out of me... "Welcome to my humble abode. May I presume you are the team that was sent here to help me with my projects?" "Yes," the one at the head of the group answered. "We've come to fix up your little operation and make it the best this side of the globe." "Beautiful. First, I wanna show you a problem I've been having with the railguns." Akaz presented a table with a railrifle disassembled, the pieces laid out in the positions they would be in if the weapon were assembled. "I've been trying to increase the firing rates of our rail tech weapons, but I've been stumped by it." "Well, if you rewire it like such," the head engineer said as he worked with the wires, "then the firing rate and energy efficiency go way up while the production time and cost go down." He then presented the finished product. "Piece of cake." Akaz studied the new configuration with awe. These guys really know their stuff... "Got any harder challenges?" "Yes. As a matter of fact, that was the easiest problem I had. Allow me to show you my power armor designs." Akaz brought them to his desk then grabbed a blueprint and spread it out for them to look over. "These are for the Einherjar, the Aesir Marines. They're strong and provide great protection, but they're slow, bulky, and limit movement. Give me your input on it." The Miricanian team examined the document, scrutinizing every detail of the armor design, before getting a clean piece of paper and drawing out a new design. "Slimming down the armor gives full range of motion and reduces weight, increasing the power output of the servos increases strength and speed, using adamantium for the armor will bring the protection up, and we can install numerous sensors and equipment into the helmet." They then presented the new design. "It's so much better than what you had." Akaz looked over the new document. "The power cells are much smaller. What do you plan on using as a power source?" "Hydrogen cells." Akaz was taken aback. "What?" "Calm yourself down. The cells will have increased protection around them to prevent any damage to them. Don't be a wimp." "Alright, have it your way," Akaz stated. "I'm also having my team experiment with using plasma as an explosive. So far, we have the exploding part down." "But you need us to stabilize the containment fields." The engineer rolled his eyes. "What you need is a more powerful magnetic field, but you can't obtain one with your current metallurgy. We'll provide you with the procedure to create such magnets. Next?" Akaz weighed in his head whether or not he should reveal it to them. Deciding that he should, he went to a wall safe and opened it up then pulled out sketches and schematics. "What I have for you, gentlemen, is Project Aesir." He laid out the documents for them to see. Upon seeing their gawking faces, he smirked. "You're attempting to build a titan." "Do you accept the challenge of engineering this monster?" The Miricanian engineer looked up at him with a smile on his face. "Challenge accepted." Edited by Aragonn, Feb 17 2015, 09:25 PM.

The Capital Region of Port Alexandria, Miricano The Quadrant Military Headquarters -- 1910 PATS Ramos. Colbentiellian missiles are in route for our Interception missiles. Said General Talbott Wait, did you say Colbentillian missiles? Yes. And it seems they have shot down one of our missiles. Two others have been shot down Laurentian craft. The last one did make contact with one craft. Prime Minister Ramos! You have a message just in from Lord Colberius of Colbentielle, said an aide who walked up to Ramos. I don't want to hear the name of that wretched scoundrel right now. I have been nothing but good to our neighbors, but they turn around and do.. do this. From this point on, Colbentielle will be considered an enemy. All their military personell will be treated with extreme prejudice. And you can tell THAT to Lord Colberius. The aide ran up the stairs to deliver the news to media and the Colbentielle Talbott, call an immediate Joint Chiefs of Staff meeting now. We need to discuss our current world situation. Will do Joint Staff Boardroom -- 1930 PATS Gentlemen and Alishia. I've called you in to discuss the recent events that happened within our sphere of influence. As you all know, our missile strike to Laurentus was met with open resistance from the Laurentian craft. However, our missiles were also met with anti-air fire from our southern neighbors. We cannot let this obvious aggression go to the wayside. What are our next course of actions. Commander Royce of the Miricano Royal Air Force was first to jump in. We can have our Minutemen try to intercept some of the Laurentian craft. Hopefully even if they shoot the missiles down, it will send a message to stay on their side of the Atlantic. And in regards with Colbentielle? What will be doing against them? We can launch a napalm mortar strike along the border of Miricano and Colbentielle. That would leave the door wide open for invasion if we decided to go that route. And if not, it would get rid of a most of their pesky troops that have decided to build up along the border. General Talbott interrupted. We've just received intelligence and satellite confirmation that a section of the Laurentian squadron has broken off and is heading southeast toward Colbentielle. Those sons of bitches. I am sick and tired of Colbentielle's treachery. I want those planes down now. We cannot let Colbentielle become more advanced from Laurentian technological advances. Shoot that plane down, and do it now. This time, make sure it doesn't miss. I will send word to Fort Dustigan Aerobase about the mortar strike. As well, we can get those Minutemen in the air in 10 minutes and another wave of Interceptors launching at those craft in 7. Do it. Commander Royce left the room to go and make contact with Fort Dustigan General Richter of the Miricano Federal Forces chimed in That means we will have to pull back our troop presence on the border for several hours while the monorails and helicopters take the soldiers at least just south of Dustigan City. We don't want to risk any of our own men getting hurt. As well, it is going be quite suspicious that our troops have all of a sudden left the border unsecured. How quickly can we get them moved north? Within a couple hours at minimum. Get it done. Make sure there is a constant fighter jet presence on our side of the border. Do not let those Colbentiellians get any ideas. Will do sir. General Richter left to contact the General Johnson of the Mircanian-Colbentillian border. Admiral Hanson of the Miricano National Navy was next to speak up If I may sir, we can have the fleet at Geraldenton begin to trek southwards in order to prepare for an attack on Capitonis. As well, we can launch a joint mortar strike from off the coast. The hurricane will pose some major issues, but after the storm passes, we will be able to blow those ass backwards heathens back to the Stone Age. I think we should focus on their infrastructure. The top priority will be take out the rail and road capacities. And if we encounter enemy ships? Like I said. Extreme prejudice. Understood. Admiral Hanson left the room Finally Alishia was the last to say a word Ramos. We had another wave of attacks on our servers. However, this time that attacks were specifically targets to the missile system in Pentagon Centre. In fact, the attacks were so successful that they got off two missiles from Fort Hathor that were directly headed toward the Quadrant. Wait what! Where are they now? Don't worry Ramos. They were appropriately taken care of. Our laser defense system worked like a charm and no people were harmed. However, we do not understand how these Laurentian hackers are able to remotely access these servers like that. but there is good news. The servers now can be taken offline in order to keep us up and running. We will upload the new AI in order to combat the problem. That should buy us a couple more days until they completely take us down. But a couple of days is all we need to finish configuring the emergency systems. Thank you Alishia. Dustigan City, The Southern State of Marcanza -- ~200 miles from the Miricano-Colbentielle Border Fort Dustigan -- 2100 PATS General Johnson hung up the phone and put on his military cap. He had just received the retreat order from the Quadrant to slowly pull away from the southern border. With the mortar strike happening in less than a couple hours, the general had to coordinate the retreat of over 10,000 troops from the border General Johnson got on the phone and ordered the hovercopters to the south in order to make the first of many evacuation procedure. Johnson popped two ibuprofen and sat back in his chair. This was going to be a long night. Geraldenton, The Southern State of Marcanza -- ~ 800 miles from Port Alexandria Hathor Naval Base -- 1800 GST Vice Admiral Ness was on his way to bed. Ness, dressed in his pajamas and in bed, began to drift of to sleep. The last wisps of of consciousness were beginning to waft away when his communicator began to ring. You better have a good excuse for waking me up. Ness screamed into the phone Ness. Nice to hear you in as good a mood as ever. Admiral Hanson, sir. I am so sorry Don't worry Ness. I'm just calling to tell you Ramos gave us the green light. Meaning... You are to move the 34th Destroyer, 50th Cruiser and 11th and 12th Advanced Battleship fleets by 1400 hours tomorrow. Destination? Capitonis. Colbentielle. How did I know. Old man Chave always said Colbentielle is going to be the death of us... They said at the same time. I just never expected it to be so soon. Neither did I. But be ready in the morning. Will do sir Ness hung up his communicator and sat on the side of the bed. Were they really ready for a war against Colbentielle? The Quadrant -- 2100 PATS General Talbott sat at his desk again and contacted Missile Control in Fort Dustigan. Missile Control. This is General Talbott ID number 57 Gamma Epsilon 3 Charlie 21 requesting a medium range Surface to Air missile attack from position 23.1333° N, 82.3833° W to enemy position at 9.1183 N, 39.331 W. This is considered a priority mission. Hostiles are approaching Mach 3 speeds. Quadrant. We have 15 Interceptor multistage Missiles ready along with 5 ready Minutemen escorters. You have been green-lighted. Heat signatures have been recorded. Ready to fire at will. Minutemen will escort and engage enemy Fire and release hell. Prime Minister sat in the conference room reading over the known information of Laurentus States. Most of the knowledge known about the African continent was produced by the state. Rarely a spy got into the nation and when a spy did get into the nation, they were quickly found and executed. Ramos worried about Fletcher and hoped he was ok. Laurentus States was a dangerous country and with a nation in open rebellion, anyone and everyone could get hurt. As Ramos finished reading the dossier on Laurentus States, one of his aides came in. Sir, you have received a message from the Jarl. Thank you. The aide left as Ramos opened the message. The message on how Laurentians could be the only people who kidnapped his son made him only laugh. He kept laughing for minutes on end, until he could laugh anymore. After calming down, Ramos re-read the note and understood the the logic behind it. The little shits are either in Port Alexandria or in Stanton. Damn, I wish those missiles blew them all out of the sky. Ramos was left to his thoughts about his son until General Talbott entered the room. Ramos, it is time to cut off Colbentielle from the rest of the world. |

Directed communications packet The Midgard Serpent fleet, We ask you surrender yourselves to standard checks and searches of your vessels. You are to be accompanied to Helvetets Port in Scandza by the Reichsmarine for assessment and subsequent dialogue. Welcome to Frostmark. ![]() His Imperial Majesty's Authority for Sudden Negotiations from Foreigners and Overly Long Office Names The Chancellery, New Prussia This was, of course, highly irregular. Falkenwalde knew the Stortinget would moan about this breach in protocol, but upon review of the new information brough to light by this young woman, the Reichskanzler knew he could easily stem the bickering with his "proposal". He measured the woman across the desk carefully, his brow ruffled in thought. She seemed sincere enough, and at least gave an impression of genuinely caring for her countrymen and the maintenance of peace. "Few of those in a position such as yours ask for the responsibility you hold, but it takes a certain kind of character to come forward when you could have just as easily allowed yourself to fade into obscurity under the breakdown of society in your land. You must already realise in our profession that our lives are essentially forfeit, what matters is order and how it is maintained. I'm just wondering how far you'd be willing to go to achieve what you want." Falkenwalde paused and pushed himself up from his chair, and came to a stop near a map of Frostmark framed against the wall. "The first step of course will be to remove your unstable father and destroy what remains of your opportunistic rebels, but it wouldn't be that simple. Of course these revelations are damning, but nobody in Frostmark would be willing to act upon them without some kind of extra incentive, a little tit for tat if you will. Nobody here cares for Miricanian posturing or Laurentian bickering, and the easiest solution would be to appeal to our sense of duty and stature." "The Prince Imperial lives for duty, and has spent his life in service of our great nation," there was no point in wasting any more time, and he dropped the bombshell. "I would have your houses and thrones joined for the sake of man and child alike. Your rule of the Laurentian Empire will not be contested." He turned to look at her, his piercing gaze fixed on the young lady. "Join us in law and in blood, and you'll have your throne." |

FROM: Director of the Science Defense Research Agency TO: Minister of Defense Sir: Due to the accelerated research program, prototype testing of Eudyptula minor weapons is essentially complete and production will begin soon. Aptenodytes patagonicus halli will also soon be tested. Likewise, the mass breeding and quasi-domestication programs of both species are ready to meet the demands of production. Peridot has begun mass production of high-capacity reflectors. The first shipments will be available in two days. Research on the specified types of dilatant have been slow, but we expect such materials to be possible and creatable, given time. FROM: Office of the First Consul Xavier TO: Office of Prime Minister Ramos Your Excellency: Production of Nobelium-253 has begun. Do remember that it has a half-life of only 1.62 minutes, so it is essentially useless. We are considering to bring it by rocket or supersonic jet, or to produce whatever it is that you want on site. Please advise. In addition, shipments of reflectors will arrive in Miricano within the week. Our Research Agency has also reported progress on dilatants. Best regards, William Xavier, First Consul of the Democratic Empire of Science and Lord Steward and Regent of Science Edited by taulover, Feb 13 2015, 01:45 PM.
