Name: Lamiya Meir Sith Name: Darth Amorata Age: 21 Species: Miraluka Birthplace: Alpheridies Gender: female Height: 170 cm Weight: 57 kg Personality: At first glance, she seems like a nice, quiet, diplomatic young woman. Maybe a bit sarcastic, but nothing too biting. And some of that impression is correct. Thing is, she's...very manipulative. She's the sort of person you don't really think about, and she likes it that way, because then you're not going to realize that she's pulling the strings until it's too late -- and even if someone figures it out, they might just go along with it. After all, what harm is someone like her going to do? Backstory: Darth Amorata was not always as she is. She began her life as any normal person would -- at least, as normal as could be expected, given that she was Miralukan. For her, the Force was always present, both in helping her to see and with sensing the world around her. Even an early age she exhibited a strong influence upon the Force. Both her parents could feel it, and indeed “see” it in her presence. However, what they failed to notice was her manipulative streak. She often feigned injury simply to earn treats and attention or convinced them to buy her sweets from the local stores with little provocation. She also displayed a keen interest in reading books that many would find far too long or difficult, simply to gain knowledge. As she grew, she became interested in the Jedi, fascinated by what they did and how they did it. Then, when she was four years old, a Jedi Master by the name of Arulnus Vaan, a Consular, came to her city. He displayed his amazing abilities with both Force and lightsaber when he confronted a high ranked Black Sun operative, who intended to use the local sewer system to transport several bombs throughout the city and detonate them. As luck would have it, Amorata and her parents happened to be passing by at the same time as the operative, allowing her to see the display. Once the fight was over and the operative was dead, the Jedi noticed Amorata and was astounded by her potential. He gave a proposal: once she was a bit older, if her parents agreed, he would return and bring her to the Coruscant temple to train her in the ways of the Force. He kept his word. When she was at the age of six, he returned. After permission was given, she left her family to join the New Jedi Order, despite her parents' sorrow at losing their child. There, she learned a great many things as she slowly became a Jedi Consular herself. She found she had a talent for manipulation and getting people to do what she liked whenever it suited her. Despite this, she never lost her love and thirst for knowledge and continued to spend many years on missions and in the Jedi library going over the various documents and holocrons. However, this was where the problems started. Her love for knowledge soon drove her to question the Jedi. She found their refusal to document anything substantial about the Sith lax at best. In time, she began to wonder why they feared the Sith so much, what it was that made the Sith such a threat. Her continued questioning of the Jedi practice led to more than a few occasions where she had philosophical disagreements with others, especially her master, over the matter. Amorata believed in the old saying “know thy enemy”, and that studying the Sith could give the Jedi an advantage; her master believed that studying the Sith was dangerous, and that she would only fall into the Dark Side's embrace if she continued to question the Jedi rules and way of life. Slowly but surely, she started to become disillusioned with the Jedi. Amorata's fall to the Dark Side truly began when she found a holocron that the Jedi Archivist had forgotten to place in storage. Taking it, she hid it in her room, and when finally alone, did the unthinkable...opened it. She was met by the sight of a ancient looking spirit. She knew that he was a Sith, simply by the 'feeling' she got near the holocron. Amorata was tempted to return the holocron, but curiosity got the better of her, and she remained. She got into a discussion with the mysterious Sith, and he began to inform her of the hypocrisy of the Jedi. From then on, she often came to her room after missions to talk with the spirit. More often than not, he won their arguments. She started to see things from his point of view. Soon, their debates turned into discussions, and then friendly conversations where she would ask him for advice. Though she didn't realize it, he became a greater influence than her own master. Of course, this influence was not without consequences. When Amorata got into an argument with one of her closest friends, the spirit convinced her to take revenge. Acting on the spirit's advice, she persuaded her former friend to accompany her on a mission to investigate a suspicious cult. She led him to a cave...and pushed him over the edge of a deep abyss, thinking he would break a leg at most. But she had misjudged the depth of the pit, and instead, he fell to his death. Realizing what she had done, Amorata ran. She knew her master and the Jedi Council would never accept her description of events. There was only one choice left: to join the Sith. After hearing murmurs of a rogue Sith organization operating from the Unknown Regions, she made her way there and was confronted by the awe-inspiring sight of New Bethrezen. She spent several weeks on the streets before finally stumbling into, and being found in, a restricted area by none other than the current Dark Lord's brother, Darth Exolus. Upon finding she had a love for knowledge, just as he did, he took her to his brother, who agreed to let her join the New Sith Brotherhood as Exolus' apprentice. The rest, as they say, is history.
