Just wondering if anyone watches? I am a huge fan since day 1 and well I love Jensen Ackles. I love Jared Padelecki too. BUT I am a die-hard JA fan from way back (DAYS of Our Lives days.) If that makes any sense!

Too have two hot piece of man candy for so many years on 1 show is a gift from the TV Gods up above.

I would love to discuss with anyone here. I think they will be getting renewed for a 10th season! WOOT WOOT! There should be news coming out soon from the "CW Up Fronts" on this.

Have you watched this week's episode yet?
YES! Are you kidding that is one show I never miss an episode of. Want to discuss?

:wtf: to Snooki (The Crossroads demon) did you see her at all? That promo was misleading. I didn't see her unless I got up to get something to drink and I highly doubt that.

It seems like to me at Sam is really distancing himself from Dean. (Besides working the cases.) I believe the word "Compartmentalization" comes into play with his work and Dean these days.

I also think Dean is struggling internally with himself for everything that happened with Kevin, Sam, Cas just everything. (Blaming himself for Kevin's death.) I thought is was interesting how they brought back "ghost Kevin" (Just like they did with "ghost Bobby" in episode 7x18 "Party On Garth", 7x19 "Of Grave Importance") My question is well is Kevin and Ms. Tran going to wander around like wrestless souls and become evil spirits eventually? Remember Bobby said when he was alive, what happens to souls that don't get put to rest? I know there is no heaven, hell or puragtory right now. (Well technically there is right? Hell is ran by Abbadon and Heaven by that other angel that Cas was fighting in this episode, Bartholomew. (Until Cas killed him anyway!) But Kevin said there is a long ass waiting line to get into any of them... What ever happened to Megatron is he in control? (Or is he in hiding now). What is going on with the Cain s/l? I wish they'd tie the s/l's up a little better but otherwise it's been a good season so far. I'm waiting to see what happens with this showdown.

I believe it was another plot point to shift the focus on Sam/Dean's fractured relationship. We get it - it's broken now fix it.
Yeah. I didn't see her either, so I don't know what that was about.

They did mention how Kevin could go crazy ghost on Ms. Tran. She said she didn't care because she was going to protect her son.
I do wonder if all the spirits that were thrown out of heaven will begin to go crazy now that they are back on earth. No one is in heaven because everyone was kicked out. Megatron is the only one who has access to it and he said it was boring by himself. Bartholomew wasn't running heaven, he was just one of the factions trying to find a way back to heaven while ruling earth.

I don't know what they'll do with Dean being Cain. I'm thinking Sam will save the day and actually save Dean from dying to counter what he claimed about not saving Dean if the roles were reverse.

I thought that commercial was a total teaser.

Anyway, I remembered from watching earlier episodes Dean, Sam, Bobby talking about how "ghosts" eventually become angry spirits (demons) and that's not good news. I know Ms. Tran has the best expectations at heart but how is that a good thing? If her son becomes a demon and she is a human? What is she going to do then, call Dean and Sam? Have her son get banished. :dunno:

Now you pose a very interesting thought on all the angels that were throw out of heaven. If they rome the earth too long, what happens to them? Do they turn evil spirits/demons?

The Megatron plot has become stale and very boring too me.

Bartholomew is one of the angel factions trying to take over heaven, ahh yes. But he is trying to rule the earth with that guy and his church. (He took it over but the humans don't know its ran by angels.)

As far as the Cain s/l goes, you think Sam will save Dean from dying. Which is the exact opposite from what he said. Very interesting, he still doesnt know the whole story (Sam). Dean kind of down played it. Wait until the shit hits the fan. The Winchester brothers will be family once again. Something Sam said Dean also uses as an excuse.

I am excited about tonight's episode. I love Dean and Sam with the Ghostfacers. Should be a funny episode.

It was a goofy episode. It was nice to see "The Ghostfacers" back although they are now down to 2 of them. Maggie and Spruce have left the group.

Tell me about the scene you really liked?

I thought it was going to be like the Tulpa they fought it West Texas back in S3 but it wasn't really a monster at all. Crazy.

It's an interesting juxtaposition how they used Ed and Harry's relationship to again mirror the problems that Dean and Sam are having in theirs. It seems to be an on-going theme in every episode now to make Dean and Sam face/deal with their issues.

I wonder what's going to happen. The build-up and when and who is going to break this cycle???

I thought of you when the "family" comment was made by Ed. I said I wonder what Julian is thinking right now.

Here is an interesting recap from buddytv.com
'Supernatural' Recap: The Ghostfacers = the Winchesters
Tuesday, March 04, 2014

John Kubicek
Senior Writer, BuddyTV

This week's episode of Supernatural certainly isn't subtle. In many ways it hits you over the head with a frying pan. The Ghostfacers, amateur supernaturalists Ed and Harry, are back, and their entire story arc in this episode mirrors everything that Sam and Dean have been going through. By the end it feels like the writers literally took the brotherly fight scenes from the last few episodes, then copied and pasted them into this script for Ed and Harry.

It may not be subtle, but since Sam and Dean are being big babies, subtly is overrated. They need this kind of obvious metaphor. And in an added pleasant twist, this week's episode takes the Ghostfacers name literally, with an homage to Scream.

Still Fighting

Dean finds a case and almost leaves without Sam. The two are still fighting, barely even talking and being super passive-aggressive about it. Sam comes along to investigate a girl killed by a possible ghost in her selfie.

However, Sam and Dean aren't the first ones on the case. Ed and Harry, aka the Ghostfacers, are in town. The Winchesters track them down and have a hilarious stand-off in a diner where the incompetent Ghostfacers demand to be taken seriously. Having these losers as a mutual enemy is exactly what Sam and Dean need to bond.

The Legend of Thinman

Ed and Harry have become the foremost experts on Thinman, a modern-day urban legend of a creepy man who appears in the background of photos and videos moments before someone dies. Despite Sam and Dean's warnings, the Ghostfacers refuse to leave. The main reason is that Harry is obsessed with proving to his ex-girlfriend that he's not a loser.

After a second victim turns up, Ed thinks they should quit, but Harry dresses up like a ninja and goes into the woods to find Thinman. Yes, it's as ridiculously stupid as it sounds.

Secrets Ruin Relationships

Sam and Dean bond over a memory about the time when they were kids and jumped off a roof to try and fly. It's sweet, but interrupted when Ed shows up to spill the beans. He made up Thinman in order to keep Harry from leaving the Ghostfacers and settling down with his girlfriend in a corporate job. But now, somehow, the fake legend he made up is real. Sam makes the parallels very obvious when he says that "secrets ruin relationships."

In the woods, Harry gets stabbed by Thinman, but Sam, Dean and Ed arrive to save him. The Ghostfacers have a big fight when Ed comes clean, and let me just spell it out.

Harry = Sam, a guy who wanted a normal life and a family, but who got dragged back into fighting the supernatural when his closest friend lied to him.

Ed = Dean, a guy who lies to his best friend in order to keep him from leaving.

A Scream Homage

In a weird twist, the episode turns into an homage to Scream (which is also appropriate since that film's villain is known as Ghostface). Sam and Dean follow a lead but get tazed by the local deputy. He and his friend (the busboy at the diner) are Thinman, a pair of psychos using the legend to kill people they don't like. There are no monsters or demons or ghosts, it's just crazy humans.

They almost kill Sam and Dean, but the Ghostfacers show up to try and save the day. They almost do, but then get captured, only to have Sam and Dean escape, get the upper hand and take out the bad guys.

In a nice twist, the deputy is about to shoot Ed, but Harry shoots deputy instead. You see, since Harry is basically Sam, this is a metaphor proving that Sam was lying when he said he wouldn't save Dean.

It's Complicated

In the end, Harry and Ed have a fight that is, in every way, identical to the various fights Sam and Dean have had over the last few episodes. They even use some of the same phrases about not saving each other and people die because of them and everything else. They basically break up and Harry asks Sam and Dean for a ride.

Hopefully this is the wake-up call Sam and Dean need. Not only do they see how miserable Harry is now that he's lost his best friend, but the fact that these two losers are fighting about the same things that Sam and Dean are should make them realize how idiotic and childish they're being.

Next time on Supernatural: The show is back in two weeks with an episode about Crowley's addiction to human blood. It's also the episode with Snooki!

So why did the CW show that promo last week like it was last night's show? Right??? Weird.

The scene I was referring to was when Sam and Dean reminisced on their childhood.

I thought the whole episode was overkill though. I rolled my eyes a lot.

The Superman scenes where Sam thought he could fly? Sam tying a towel around his neck? Dean thought he was Batman? That was a really great part and I miss that closeness they had. I miss scenes like that. But I feel like the show is building up thru each episode back to them. Thru these different supporting characters having their problems, and hashing it out. They are showing the similar fractures that Dean and Sam have in their relationship and it's not too late for them. They are still together and fighting the good fight. I have a feeling the season finale is going to leave us feeling all types of emotions! :tears:

What was overkill too you? The redux of the Ghostfacers? The angst? I was laughing more then I rolled my eyes. It was goofy. Plus Dean and Sam always provide the sexy. :cloud9:

The Ghostfacers have always been silly, so that was expected. I think what bothered me the most was the poor dialogue and how closely similar their situation was to Dean and Sam's problems.

Yes, ITA the Ghostfacers have always been on the goofy/silly side of things. But have you noticed the trend of every episode since Dean and Sam's "big fallout" that they have this reoccuring theme? Whether it be someone 2 characters mirroring Dean/Sam's trust issues or someone telling them to work things out? It's like they are focusing on that specifically. Right?

Yeah and I guess that's why it's overkill. They keep hitting that horse and we barely get anything in return.
