Just wondering if anyone watches? I am a huge fan since day 1 and well I love Jensen Ackles. I love Jared Padelecki too. BUT I am a die-hard JA fan from way back (DAYS of Our Lives days.) If that makes any sense!

Too have two hot piece of man candy for so many years on 1 show is a gift from the TV Gods up above.

I would love to discuss with anyone here. I think they will be getting renewed for a 10th season! WOOT WOOT! There should be news coming out soon from the "CW Up Fronts" on this.

Yeah and I guess that's why it's overkill. They keep hitting that horse and we barely get anything in return.
I think it will be that way leading up until the last two episodes of this season. The build up and anticipation. They want them to work for it and they want us to wait for it!

Keep on beating that dead horse SPN. We just love that.

The latest spoiler reports on "Supernatural" Season 9 tease about the return of Grandpa Henry Winchester in Episode 17 titled "Mother's Little Helper" with Misha Collins sitting on the director's chair. In the upcoming episode, fans can have another look at the "Men of Letters" history as well as something that involves the "Mark of Cain" transferred to Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles).

Mischa's directing this episode. Henry Winchester is returning. Dean and "Mark of Cain" is being addressed. Wonder what state of mind Sam will be in about all of this?

My god they are dragging it out though!!!

In earlier seasons my heart would ache for them and their stupid issues that I loved as much as I hated. Now I almost feel this weird sort of detachment as I watch and wait and, yes, still hope.

They writers better give us some good pay off when they finally do sort things out!

AMEN! :worthy: They are really dragging it out now. Yes, they work the jobs together but it's really going on and on... When will the brothers Winchester reconcile? I have to say that is one thing I always loved about the show: the "Bromance" between Sam and Dean. I miss them and that.

The CW Renames its Supernatural Spinoff and Casts Melissa Roxburgh as a Regular

By Debi Moore
March 9th, 2014

(I'm adding in this comment: They've renamed it "Bloodlines", interesting choice for a title. )

The CW has renamed its "Supernatural" spinoff as "Supernatural: Bloodlines" and found the perfect actress to fill the last remaining vacancy on the show's regulars roster in Melissa Roxburgh, who previously appeared in the "Supernatural" Season 7 episode "Time After Time."

Per The Wrap, Roxburgh will play Violet, a member of Chicago's powerful werewolf pack. She hides her true nature because of her forbidden love for family rival David (Nathaniel Bozulic), a shapeshifter. But when cornered, Violet's inner wolf breaks out.

Fans of The CW's "Arrow" should also recognize Roxburgh from her recurring guest role of Blake; she additionally starred in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid film franchise.

"Bloodlines" follows the various mafia-esque monster families that, unknowingly to humans, “run” the underbelly of Chicago. They are being tracked by a newly-minted Hunter (Lucien Laviscount), who wants to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural.

The "Bloodlines" backdoor pilot airs as Episode 9.20 of "Supernatural" on April 29th.

Yes. I wonder if it's a ghost/spirit story since no one is in heaven.

This was a post I read about Supernatural going on past S10. Well written and thought out. As much as I LOVE SPN well I kind of agree.

I'd like it to go for at least 10 (a safe bet I think) but I want to make sure they give it a proper sendoff. Thankfully we don't have the same problem Smallville had (pre-determined to have the hero only wear the suit for 30 seconds in blurry vision). There is no predefined end state. So if they feel like they can get it finished properly in 10, great. Clearly the producers will want to have "Tribes" up and running before they let go. I think they sense 10 is it as well. That's a LARGE crew and production staff that they'd like to keep employed. So I don't blame them.

And I'm torn beyond 10. I'd really like the leads (Jared and Jensen) to get nice careers after but it's just SO HARD. Talent is just a small piece of whether or not you get work. And they both know it. Ideally, they'll sort out post-Supernatural work in the late Fall so that they can make an easy decision that is their choice. I think after 10 years it would be great for them to have that option rather than to just give up on a steady gig and hope for the best. Forget the money, this is a steady acting gig with fans. If the stories are there, it has to give them satisfaction. For Jared, I think his wife lives with him up in Vancouver so there is no issue. For Jensen, I think he has to commute weekly so continuing is a family strain. Regardless of acting prospects, that also has to be a factor. Which leaves me with: if they get decent jobs lined up -- stop at S10 and know that far enough in advance that it's a helluva sendoff. If they don't have jobs, it's whatever the two leads want IMO because I actually think they could pull off a few more years of stories and it not be bad.

Again, I think the advantage is not having a predetermined endgame.

CW’s ‘Supernatural’ Spinoff Casts Melissa Roxburgh As Female Lead, Gets New Title

By NELLIE ANDREEVA | Saturday March 8, 2014 @ 9:00am PST

Following a lengthy casting process, Melissa Roxburgh has landed the female lead of Violet in the planted Supernatural spinoff, now titled Supernatural: Bloodlines (formerly Tribes). Like her new co-stars Nathaniel Buzolic, Sean Faris and Stephen Martines, who all previously recurred on The Vampire Diaries, Roxburgh too has appeared on hit CW series before. She has done an arc on Arrow and a guest stint on the mothership Supernatural series. Written by Andrew Dabb and directed by Robert Singer, Supernatural: Bloodlines revolves around the various mafia-esque monster families that unknowingly to humans “run” the underbelly of Chicago and are being tracked by a newly minted Hunter who’s trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural. Roxburgh’s Violet is a member of the powerful werewolf pack who hides her true nature because of her forbidden love for family rival David (Bozulic). But when cornered, her inner wolf breaks free. The Bloodlines Supernatural episode airs on April 29. Roxburgh is with Gersh.

I'm adding in:
Nathan Buzolic (Kol Mikaelson) from "Vampire Diaries" he won't be coming to "The Originals" anytime soon. He has a leading role on "Supernatural: Bloodlines" fyi

20. Supernatural
2005-present, The CW
What It's About: The Winchester brothers, Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki), hunt demons, ghosts, vampires, human-eating leviathans, and the like. Currently, that list of threats is longer than ever for Dean, who was trapped in purgatory at the end of last season.
Why It's Cult: Supernatural began with a pretty straightforward premise — hot guys kill spooky things — but it didn't stay that way for long. The characters have literally been to hell and back, and along the way, they have woven a complicated and compelling mythology filled with friends (angel Castiel), recurring foes (demon Crowley), and inside jokes (Wincest!). Supernatural has also, however, dedicated episodes to mocking the sillier aspects of its own existence, like its hypercritical fandom. This self-referential approach has rewarded longtime viewers and helped build a community so passionate, it's almost scary.
Secret Handshake: A real fan won't take offense at being called an ''idjit.'' —Sandra Gonzalez

'Supernatural' Overdoing the Sam/Dean Angst?
By: Michael Griffin Mar 15, 2014 | 8:13pm EDT

This current season of Supernatural is centering on the animosity between the Winchester brothers, Jensen Ackles' Dean and Jared Padalecki's Sam. I'm going to try to sum this up in a way that even non-viewers of the show can understand it and not feel like they just read something while on a strong drug: Sam was dying after trying to complete some trials that would enable the brothers to close the Gates of Hell. Dean secretly tricked Sam into allowing an angel to take residence in his body. Once Sam found out, the foundation of their relationship collapsed. Now they only maintain a professional rapport - not even the ghost of one of their friends could convince Sam to forgive his brother again.
Got it? It just seems like the angst between these two has been going on for way too long through the run of the show. Yes, I know that there has to be some kind of drama that propels the plots along and that it would be absolutely mind-numbingly boring if everything was hunky-dory all the time. That said, there is such a thing as overkill.
The thing is, this whole issue of Dean keeping secrets from Sam has been played over and over. Every time that it's happened, Sam's been spitting mad, relinquishing their brotherly bonds. Then, after a while, he starts trusting Dean again. And then... well, you can see the direction that I'm going in here. Sam's obstinate behavior here is reaching supremely annoying levels. Dean's not off the hook by any means; he just keeps repeating mistake after mistake after mistake. There's also only so many times I can see Padalecki scrunch up his face after a foul up or Ackles just stare off into the distance, brooding. I'm just surprised Misha Collins' angel Castiel hasn't slapped him across the head into another dimension by now.
With such great world building, a spin-off (Supernatural: Tribes) on the way, and the fun inherent in the offing of demons, it's a shame that the series has adhered itself to constant close-up shots of the two sulking in silence. I'd rather be watching a standalone Ghostfacers adventure than rolling my eyes and saying, "C'mon... GET OVER IT ALREADY!"
I'll still watch it, of course, but I just don't want to think that it could have ended so very differently.
