This is a Vampire spin-off from "The Vampire Diaries" based in New Orleans. There are Vampires called "The Originals" - they are vampires that can never be killed or die. They can only be put to "rest" by these special type daggers. Who Klaus (the protagnist) in this show/story are in possession of. There are 7 central characters: Klaus Michaelson (Original Vampire and is related to Elijah and Rebekah) Klaus is a misunderstood character. He is potentially flawed, complex, layered but deep down as the episodes progressed the writers/tptb showed us he feels, loves and wants and craves unconditional love just like everyone else. All be it, he kills and is at times seems to be a "cold blooded killer" this is the essense of who Klaus is. He loves his family above all else, he seems to be incredibly jealous of what his siblings have as far as potential life partners (love), he forever seeks their approval and is destined to go thru life with them and only them. It would be great to see if this "selfish bond" could be broken. It seems that Elijah is trying to redeem his brother thru the birth of his child by teaching him about "unconditional love". Although, I fear in the process, Elijah has fallen victim to "unconditional love" by falling in love with Hayley, the baby's mother. We are seeing a very complex story written out and at the same time with all the speed bumps, it's leaves us wanting more. The writers and tptb are very talented and skilled at this process. They are building up different layers to Klaus' redemption for his child for himself for his family very delicately. I am looking forward to next week's episode. Elijah Michaelson (Original Vampire) - Elijah is a character that was built on intergrity, honor and drop dead gorgeousness. What can be said. Calgon take me away. He promised, his word that no harm would come to Hayley or her baby and he lived up to it and then some! He took out the head witch Angus, who wanted to kill Hayley and her baby. He snapped the bitches head straight off! "Nobody messes with my family!" were his exact words. Elijah Michaelson, you are my bodyguard! He protected Hayley when she was running in the woods from that crazy, blood thristy, vengeful Tyler (Who was after Klaus technically but went after Hayley? Well The tag team of Elijah/Klaus taught him a lesson that day!) He protected her from so many different situations, the wolves in the bayou, the vampires that wanted to kill her because of Marcel. EJijah is Hayley's man thru and thru. I love the way they are building this couple up. How many almost kisses? Rebekah Michaelson (Original Vampire) - Ah my dear Rebekah who is so misunderstood by her brother Klaus. Or maybe not? He just doesn't want her to be happy because he isn't happy. Rebekah was in love with Marcel who was human before coming a vampire. BUT, he was in love with Rebekah for a lontime before that. They danced around there feeling for many years. That was until Marcel grew up. He then started to want to act on those feelings, Rebekah wanted him too also. Elijah was happy for them. (Elijah was not like Klaus in that way, don't ask me why maybe because he had loved?) Anyway, Klaus found out about them and made Marcel decide do you want to kill her or become a vampire? Marcel choose the later. He became a vampire. He broke Rebekah's heart. Klaus staked her and put her to sleep I believe for over 50 years. They don't age they don't die "Originals" they just go to sleep when you stake them. She awoke she Marcel, he walked away. Klaus told her he had to teach her a lesson and that she had been asleep for 50 or 60 something years... FF present day, Marcel and Klaus are aligned "tick as thieves again" only this time, Marcel is the "King of New Orleans", we are yet to finf out why the Michaelson fled New Orleans 100 years ago... Marcel - was a child when taken in by Klaus, he was a slave for a family on an estate close by to theirs, I believe. When Klaus saw Marcel getting beat by the person who was his "owner" (such a degrding term) he interfered, I believe he killed the man; rescued Marcellus (Which meant "Warrior" I believe something like that) because it reminded him of the beating he used to get from there father. Klaus was a "freak of nature" to their father and never accepted by the family (well the father). SO, he endured terrible beating beyond what anyone could compare. He related to Marcellus. He took him in as his own son. A bond was formed. He became part of the family. Hayley -is a werewolf like Klaus but not a hybrid. Hayley is half human, half werewolf, whereas, Klaus is half vampire, half werewolf. They had a one-night stand which resulted in Hayley becoming pregnant with his child. That is pretty much it between those two, there was no relationship, no feelings, nothing between them, just this baby. Whereas, when Hayley came back to town and met Klaus' brother Elijah. The fireworks began! You could feel the sparks, it was kismet. It was like two old souls that were meant too be together. The scenes between them ever since, have been intense, it reminds me of EJami in a way. They have this "intense chemistry", this "presence", this "force", this "push and pull" between them that cannot be ignored. I will post some montages and clips when I'm done explaining the characters. Cami - (Cami is Father Kiernan niece and the sister of the guy who was killed in New Orleans. She was compelled by Klaus in order to protect her from knowing too much about what was really going on in New Orleans with the vampires and werewolves. Who are btw, the 2 warring factions.) The ending of the last episode, Cami starts to remember everything! All the memories that Klaus had compelled her to forget started coming back and she was screaming in pain in the church. This is NOT GOOD YAWL! Davina (Is a powerful young teenage witch being held captive by Marcel until recently, when Elijah promised her protection, freedom and to ability to learn more "powerful spells" from his own mother's grimoire book of spells. Up until this point she was on the vampires side (well she deflected from Marcel's side to Elijah's/Klaus' side because of Elijah and his "honor". As of the last episode we really don't know what happened to her but we think she is with Cami. (NOT GOOD!) Father Kiernan (He hides the vampires secret in town and Cami is his niece. It is to be believed his nephew went "mad" and killed himself. Klaus is investigating this story and Marcel might have more to do with it then he is letting on.) He is apart of a powerful human counsel in town that controls what goes on. Sophie Deveraux (Witch) she started the "Witches Harvest" which brought problems for the witches to be expelled from New Orleans to pratice magic. She was working in tandem with Marcel and also sleeping with him. They were what you call "magical powerful friends with benefits" She is still alive and looking to seek revenge and kill Davina to resurrect her dead sister who was a witch. (Who died by the hands of Marcel and the vampires.) Edited by EjamiShipper, Jan 12 2014, 04:37 PM.

Are you talking about Josh? I like him as well. He and Davina had a really nice honest friendship. Damn this show they better bring her back. Do you know I didn't catch that Celeste being in Sabine's body for a year! This show is constantly blowing my mind with these storyline twists. How did I not catch that? I need to binge and watch all the episodes over this weekend on cwtv.com

The Originals Episode 1x12 Flashback Photos from "Dance Back From the Grave" show Marcel in Uniform Posted by Theo on January 24, 2014 at 11:30 PM After the shocking death of a beloved character and the resurrection of a handful of malicious witches and a dangerous warlock, it’s safe to say The Originals is shaking things up! So what’s next? In order to better understand the magnitude of Sabine’s (aka Celeste’s) underhanded plan and what the return of all these powerful entities means for New Orleans, we need to venture back in time — specifically to the year 1919! New photos from The Originals episode 1×12: “Dance Back from the Grave” gives us a proper taste of what to expect in terms of flashbacks and all the upcoming witchy warfare. Not only do we spy Papa Tunde, Genevieve, and Sabine interacting in the shadows, but we also spot some of their deadly handiwork: bodies of sacrificed vampires are popping up all over the French Quarter! Luckily we’re able to wash down those frightening images with pics of Klaus and Elijah rocking suits and grabbing drinks with Marcel, who looks handsome in his World War I soldier uniform. Browse through photos from The Originals Season 1 Episode 12 in the gallery below, and then drop us a comment telling us if you also swooned at the sight of Marcel in uniform. When you click on the link above it will bring you to the pictures, very interesting indeed. Here it is:
I see that they follow Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley) also have a picture of her on there wall. Plus have Klaus as there background though -- so maybe they are a bit prejudice?

Yeah! I'm talking about Josh! Such a cutie. lol. Yeah again! I guess Sabine found Celeste's body a year before or something. When Sophie found Celeste's remains she apparently said someone already absorbed her powers. I might have to rewatch again just to make sure I caught everything! |

SOURCE: http://www.wetpaint.com/the-originals/articles/2014-01-24-spoilers-will-klaus-new-romance The Originals Spoilers: Will Klaus Get a New Romance? January 24, 2014 at 12:22PM EST by Kayti Burt If the Internet feels a bit warmer today, it’s probably a result of that steamy forest hookup scene between Caroline (Candice Accola) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) in last night’s 100th episode of The Vampire Diaries. Executive producer Julie Plec called the scene a way to “pay off” the Klaroline journey, implying that this is the end — for now — of Klaroline crossovers. Does this mean Klaus will be getting his very own love interest on The Originals? Not any time soon! Julie seems to think Klaus is a bit too busy trying to control the French Quarter (and his own family) to pursue matters of the heart. “The thing is Klaus has got a lot going on on The Originals, and somewhere in there there's room for a little bit of romance down the road,” Julie told E! Online. “Really, this was more about giving that storyline the ending, I guess, for now at least, that it needed, that it didn't have yet.” We guess that’s...good? Frankly, we’re still a little confused where the Klaroline hookup leaves these two characters. Surely, that can’t be the end of their story! If they were on the same show, we’d assume everything that went down in last night’s ep was the start of a new, more intense chapter in their stories. But since they dwell on different shows, we’re not so sure. Geez, crossovers are hard. Julie’s answer seems to rule out any imminent developments in the Klaus/Cami romance some speculated was blossoming on The Originals. Of course, those speculations came mostly before Cami remembered all of the memories Klaus had compelled her to forget and joined forces against him. So, maybe not totally unexpected. Do you think this is the end for Klaroline? Do you think Klaus has any room for romance in his life on The Originals? Sound off in the comments below! Catch the next episode of The Originals on Tuesday, January 28 at 8 p.m. and the next episode of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday, January 30 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW. |

Can I be honest here, I was hoping for a Klaroline crossover to "The Originals" so I'm a bit disappointed. BUT, frankly I do not want Klaus with Cami after everything that transpired after Davina. Not only that the Klaroline scenes last week, well I wanted them back together. It's ok though -- maybe one day...

“Dance Back from the Grave” S1x12 We started off the episode with still a very angry and upset Marcel from what transpired (in last week's episode) with Davina dying. Can I blame him? No. (Thoughts are she will be back - who knows if her powers were so strong that she was able to withstand death? Is it possible she went into some "supernatural like sleep/coma" and will be awakened by Celeste? Just some spec on my end.) I liked how they did a flashback episode tonight showing all the characters, and exactly who they were back in the day. Elijah looked drop dead gorgeous in that tux, so did Klaus! Rebekah in her flapper outfit, beautiful and Marcel as a solider swoon! (Although I saw the spoiler pictures I never placed his character as being a solider for some reason, I thought he'd be in the "family business" with Klaus and Elijah. Was this after everything? When he fled NOLA? - Marcel he went into the army?) There is more to be explained there, I am sure as the story evolves we will find out more. Back to last night's episode, the conversation that Marcel and Rebekah had about Papa Tunde and using him to rid Klaus in the FB scene before using her father, was that about? I got lost there. I am talking about this episode in different pieces! (I’m jumping ahead myself. )Elijah and Klaus acting as almost mafia vamps was pretty interesting. They were negotiating with the werewolves, right? They (Elijah/Klaus) explain that Originals can’t be killed by their bite so they need to negotiate. Elijah says they run the New Orleans ports and they will help them bring in liquor during prohibition. Papa Tunde boldly interrupts the meeting and says he’s a "king of the city" and represents the French Quarter witches. The gift he left Elijah/Klaus was a surprise - a box with the mayor of NOLA head in it! Then back in the present day, we see Klaus has freed Thierry. (As a "good will gesture") BUT Marcel's crew was complaining to him that Klaus is late again. (BUT this time there was an actual reason behind it. Who is in charge here anyway, Marcel or them?) Marcel comments to Klaus "That his visit to Mystic Falls must have went well." (YES. Klaroline, anyone!) Klaus lulls himself into a false sense of safety "Davina is gone and soon the witches will be powerless." (Uh-no. Think again my Klaus.) Someone thinks it's time for rowel up the witches in the French Quarter, so Klaus tells Diego (who I am not crazy about) to gather up a bunch of vamps. Marcel tells Klaus he's taking a "personal day". (Maybe because he knows who they are up against! um-hum. What I don't get is does Marcel and Rebekah want to have Klaus killed? Do they hate him that much?) We then FF and see Elijah and Rebekah walking in the French Quarter. They are discussing Klaus; Elijah thinks Klaus is "being good". Meanwhile, Rebekah explains to Elijah that "she was the one who got Thierry freed." Rebekah wants to know where all the "real power went" and when she does "she'll broker a treaty". Elijah isn't happy that she is plotting against the family and the way Klaus is behaving either. Rebekah reminds her brother "he always blows up eventually and daggers them." Elijah asks Rebekah to "not provoke Klaus even if she does not support him." (This makes Elijah suspicious of his sister's true motives in all of this.) Diego shows up and tells Klaus/Marcel there’s a problem. He says they went to harass the witches and found two of their own vamps laid out dead. Marcel looks at it and then walks away. Marcel tells him the mark left around them is “bad mojo” and they need to stay out of it. Marcel advises the other vamps to leave it alone but Klaus says he’ll find who did it and punish them. Thierry meets Rebekah and shows her the same symbol on the ground and she says it’s the mark of a sacrificial witch she knew long ago (Celeste, anyone?) but doesn’t have any idea why it’s there now. All of a sudden, out of no where, Papa Tunde appears and calls her name. Rebekah is shocked and says it’s not possible. He chokes her out and speaks a curse onto her. Then he pulls out a bone knife and cuts her head with it. Veins appear across her face, she get all pale/blue-like and cries out in pain as he lowers her down to her knees and slices her. Crazy thing is none of the vamps want to fight with Klaus knowing there is a "vamp killing witches". (Wrong Again, Diego!) Klaus is backed into a corner and will handle it himself. (As usual! The Hybrid is off to handle this.) Cami is back at Rousseau’s tending to Sophie's bar and guess who shows up? Marcel, distraught and angry over Davina's death but Cami has no idea that she died. She immediately thinks it was Klaus' fault but Marcel explains it was a witch’s ritual. Cami fills him in she can't be compelled anymore, she isn't on vervain. He's come for advice on the witches and needs to talk to Sophie. Marcel gets upset (obviously) thinking bout Davina's death throws the glass at the wall and starts to cry. Cami feels sorry for him and hugs him. (They are so going for Marcel/Cami pairing – it’s obvious. BUT, I’d rather Marcel and Rebekah, oh well.) Haylijah moment! You obviously are wondering how they were going to address last week's ending scene, right? I know I was. So, when Elijah was standing in Hayley's bedroom door, I was saying to myself "What are you going to say to her, Elijah?" Elijah finds Hayley going over Davina’s drawings. She tells him he's been avoiding her. Elijah tells her that "Klaus gets mad when they’re together." In which Hayley responds "That Klaus is a dick." Touché feisty girl! You know Elijah forever the peacemaker says "He wants to be a good brother so he can’t hang with her." (SURE!) Hayley says "She gets it but that it’s a crappy deal." The stares and glances alone wrecked me. (I had to go back and re-watch the episode to find this out!) Continuing on... Back at Rousseau’s Cami and Marcel are talking; he gets a text from Klaus. Cami calls him "El Presidente" and why she is interested in knowing about him. "It never ends well with him." Marcel tells her his story. Marcel begins to draw out the symbol on the napkin and shares a story about Klaus. He tells her he had just come back to NOLA after serving in WWI. We see him in his army uniform and Rebekah telling him off because he left her in a box for 52 years. (Rightly SO!) The next thing you know you see Klaus greeting him fondly calling him a “war hero” and giving him a big hug. (Crazy town or what?) Elijah is there too and greets him kindly as well. Klaus tells Marcel all about Papa Tunde and what he wants. Elijah then tells Marcel, he knows all about the "horrors of war" he would side with negotiation. This angers Klaus. He says Papa Tunde is a charlatan. ( def: false expert: somebody who falsely claims to have special skill or expertise.) Klaus, you are so wrong about that my friend. As fate and irony would have it guess who comes strolling into Klaus' house? Papa Tunde. Marcel tells Cami that he didn’t understand why he invited him into their home but he says it was all about "evaluating weaknesses" before he goes in for the kill. Cami calls Klaus a sociopath. (Indeed). Cami tells Marcel that was Davina was just as powerful without ever being a monster. Meanwhile, Papa Tunde cuts open his snake and bleeds it all over Rebekah cut prone body. (Not looking good!) He's got her in the middle of that circle and and he touches her head. Enter Celeste! Papa Tunde tells her he has all of Rebekah's power going thru his body now and it's enough to kill Klaus! (You know Celeste wants revenge on Klaus her death!) |

“Dance Back from the Grave” S1x12 There is a lot going on in this episode so I am breaking down my recap. Where were we... The ritual with Rebekah. First Klaus attempts to get Marcel to join forces with him to take on the "darkness" that has come to town. Marcel is still very upset. Meanwhile Klaus runs into Sophie Deveraux, chokes her out, wants to know what's/whose responsible for these attacks on the vamps. Elijah and Hayley are still looking for Rebekah, he is calling her phone, she isn't answering. Elijah tells Hayley he "thinks she is conspiring with others." They find Thierry and Elijah wants to know what his sister sudden interest in him is? (He cracks like a jordan almond. But not after a feable attempt to try and overthrow Elijah. ever Thierry! You are never going to learn are you?) He tells Elijah they were jumped by some "warlock". Elijah is very pissed now that he left his sister for dead. She is at Warehouse 57 and begs Elijah "to not tell Klaus". (SURE!) Hayley wants to come with Elijah but he says "she cannot leave his sight." Marcel tells Cami he really liked her but wanted to spare of all of this. She says she’s in it anyway. She asks to hear more about Papa Tunde. He says the warlock wanted territory and money and when Klaus didn’t give it, he went on a rampage killing humans, werewolves and witches that opposed him. Elijah negotiated a truce but Klaus showed up in his place. (OH, NO NOT GOOD!) Klaus tells him "he’s the non-negotiating brother." Papa Tunde says he doesn’t know his power and Klaus says he thinks his twin sons are the channels for his power. He asks what would happen if the sons he depends on were struck down. He has a flunky bring in a box. Klaus flips it open and shows him their heads. Tunde says he will kill him for it and Klaus says he can’t be killed then rips out the warlock’s eyes. Cami is horrified but Marcel says it’s just business. Papa Tunde comes in and tells Marcel he’s always in Klaus’s shadow. He tells "him to come out from behind it and die like a man!!!!" Marcel tells Cami to go and Papa Tunde attacks him and tells him he’s channeling the power of an Original. (Rebekah) He begins to speak a curse when Cami hits the warlock with a bottle. He throws her across the room and Marcel fights back. Sophie tells Klaus the mark is of sacrificial magic and that the more vamps he kills, the more power he will have. Cami calls Klaus and tells "him there’s a lunatic witch doctor killing Marcel." Klaus tells her to run!!!! Hayley and Elijah find Rebekah in a "witchy coma" and says because she can’t die, she’s like an endless source of power for the warlock. Papa Tunde tells Marcel "he knows what he did to his family and that he knows how fond Klaus is of his son." Klaus is there and pulls him off Marcel but Papa Tunde throws Klaus away. Sophie tells Elijah that he needs to add another component like eye of newt to break the spell. He hangs up and asks Hayley if she’ll donate some blood and she agrees. He bites her wrist and she drips it onto the mark which dissolves it. (I know this is SO WRONG but that scene was SO HOT!) Papa Tunde goes to attack Klaus with his bone knife just as Elijah steps into the sacrificial circle and grabs his sister out of it. Tunde weakens and Klaus throws him aside. The warlock runs away. Cami asks if Marcel is okay and he says he needs blood and asks her to go get someone from the street. She says she’ll donate and Klaus says no but she says he can’t control her. She offers her neck and Marcel drinks greedily. Klaus watches with some jealousy as he works at her neck. (SAY WHAT??!!! Klaus you had you're chance and didn't you and Caroline just have sex?) A now fully recovered Rebekah attacks Thierry and tells him he’s a coward. (YOU GO GIRL!) Elijah snaps his neck in impatience telling her that conspiring against Klaus was the reason "she was taken". Rebekah says Klaus constantly robs her of any chance for happiness while pursuing her own. Elijah tells her he won’t stand against her or Klaus and she tells him he’s a hypocrite and his feelings for Hayley will tear them all apart. (OH SNAP Rebekah you called you're feeling for Hayley out! Love it. Love her! We all need a truth teller sometimes and today and most days for Elijah, Rebekah calls him out on his shit.) Rebekah waits in Sophie’s shop when Marcel comes in. He tells her that Papa Tunde’s symbol is all over the cauldron and she says it’s bringing back memories. FB to 1920s when Rebekah finds Marcel drunk. She asks if he’s celebrating Papa Tunde’s death and he insists he’s drowning his sorrows and admits he was the one who brought Papa Tunde to town. He says he sought out the most dangerous witch he could find and she asks why.Marcel says that he did it for her so Tunde would chase Klaus off or keep him occupied so he could pursue making amends and romance with her. She asks "If he would risk it all and tear them all apart for her." Marcel says "he did and would do it again." Rebekah tells him that there is only one man that Klaus fears – their father Michael who hunts vampires. She says if a witch can help find their father, he’ll come and Klaus will run. They nod at this witch across the room. (If they had such an EPIC love story Marcel/Rebekah why are they so far apart now? What the HELL happened?) Hayley looks at sketches Davina did of Celeste. She goes to look for Elijah and witches the vampires milling around. He sees her and stares up at her transfixed but then pauses and turns away. (Be still my #Haylijah heart! ) Klaus speaks to the group and tells them "They had an uprising against him and failed and he forgave them. They have been treating him like he needs to prove something to him but they are the ones that need to what they are worth to him." Klaus says "There is a war and they will fight alongside him or leave." The vampires start muttering among themselves and Thierry stands apart and yells up. He says "he doesn’t owe Klaus anything and would just as soon get out as be under his thumb." He goes. Many others follow. Some stay.Marcel tells Klaus he thought he would lose more vamps than he did and Klaus says they have no room for slackers and cowards. He tells Marcel that Sophie will help them but she disagrees. He demands to know why Papa Tunde has been resurrected. She tells him it’s the harvest and that someone jacked the power and used it to bring back four different witches. Marcel asks if they get the power back if they can save Davina but Klaus redirects it back to Papa Tunde. (WRONG! Don't forget about Davina, Klaus!)He asks Sophie how he ends him. Sophie explains that if he blocks him from killing more vampires, he’ll lose his power source. Klaus and Marcel find that Tunde is busy killing off as many vamps as he can. (In the tombs!) Celeste asks Papa Tunde if it is done and he tells her his bone blade now has enough power to do damage even to an Original. He says there is one last sacrifice to be made and hands Celeste the knife as he kneels and says it is his honor. She thanks him and slits his throat and his power also channels into the bone blade. What a crazy episode and it was jammed packed with so many different things going on that I watched it 2x! Did you like it??? Excellent episode. |

They are building up different layers to Klaus' redemption for his child for himself for his family very delicately. I am looking forward to next week's episode.

They could have killed off Sophie Deveraux instead. I can't stand her. Doubling crossing bitch.
)
(SURE!) Hayley says "She gets it but that it’s a crappy deal."
Elijah is very pissed now that he left his sister for dead. She is at Warehouse 57 and begs Elijah "to not tell Klaus". (SURE!) Hayley wants to come with Elijah but he says "she cannot leave his sight."
