This is a Vampire spin-off from "The Vampire Diaries" based in New Orleans. There are Vampires called "The Originals" - they are vampires that can never be killed or die. They can only be put to "rest" by these special type daggers. Who Klaus (the protagnist) in this show/story are in possession of. There are 7 central characters: Klaus Michaelson (Original Vampire and is related to Elijah and Rebekah) Klaus is a misunderstood character. He is potentially flawed, complex, layered but deep down as the episodes progressed the writers/tptb showed us he feels, loves and wants and craves unconditional love just like everyone else. All be it, he kills and is at times seems to be a "cold blooded killer" this is the essense of who Klaus is. He loves his family above all else, he seems to be incredibly jealous of what his siblings have as far as potential life partners (love), he forever seeks their approval and is destined to go thru life with them and only them. It would be great to see if this "selfish bond" could be broken. It seems that Elijah is trying to redeem his brother thru the birth of his child by teaching him about "unconditional love". Although, I fear in the process, Elijah has fallen victim to "unconditional love" by falling in love with Hayley, the baby's mother. We are seeing a very complex story written out and at the same time with all the speed bumps, it's leaves us wanting more. The writers and tptb are very talented and skilled at this process. They are building up different layers to Klaus' redemption for his child for himself for his family very delicately. I am looking forward to next week's episode. Elijah Michaelson (Original Vampire) - Elijah is a character that was built on intergrity, honor and drop dead gorgeousness. What can be said. Calgon take me away. He promised, his word that no harm would come to Hayley or her baby and he lived up to it and then some! He took out the head witch Angus, who wanted to kill Hayley and her baby. He snapped the bitches head straight off! "Nobody messes with my family!" were his exact words. Elijah Michaelson, you are my bodyguard! He protected Hayley when she was running in the woods from that crazy, blood thristy, vengeful Tyler (Who was after Klaus technically but went after Hayley? Well The tag team of Elijah/Klaus taught him a lesson that day!) He protected her from so many different situations, the wolves in the bayou, the vampires that wanted to kill her because of Marcel. EJijah is Hayley's man thru and thru. I love the way they are building this couple up. How many almost kisses? Rebekah Michaelson (Original Vampire) - Ah my dear Rebekah who is so misunderstood by her brother Klaus. Or maybe not? He just doesn't want her to be happy because he isn't happy. Rebekah was in love with Marcel who was human before coming a vampire. BUT, he was in love with Rebekah for a lontime before that. They danced around there feeling for many years. That was until Marcel grew up. He then started to want to act on those feelings, Rebekah wanted him too also. Elijah was happy for them. (Elijah was not like Klaus in that way, don't ask me why maybe because he had loved?) Anyway, Klaus found out about them and made Marcel decide do you want to kill her or become a vampire? Marcel choose the later. He became a vampire. He broke Rebekah's heart. Klaus staked her and put her to sleep I believe for over 50 years. They don't age they don't die "Originals" they just go to sleep when you stake them. She awoke she Marcel, he walked away. Klaus told her he had to teach her a lesson and that she had been asleep for 50 or 60 something years... FF present day, Marcel and Klaus are aligned "tick as thieves again" only this time, Marcel is the "King of New Orleans", we are yet to finf out why the Michaelson fled New Orleans 100 years ago... Marcel - was a child when taken in by Klaus, he was a slave for a family on an estate close by to theirs, I believe. When Klaus saw Marcel getting beat by the person who was his "owner" (such a degrding term) he interfered, I believe he killed the man; rescued Marcellus (Which meant "Warrior" I believe something like that) because it reminded him of the beating he used to get from there father. Klaus was a "freak of nature" to their father and never accepted by the family (well the father). SO, he endured terrible beating beyond what anyone could compare. He related to Marcellus. He took him in as his own son. A bond was formed. He became part of the family. Hayley -is a werewolf like Klaus but not a hybrid. Hayley is half human, half werewolf, whereas, Klaus is half vampire, half werewolf. They had a one-night stand which resulted in Hayley becoming pregnant with his child. That is pretty much it between those two, there was no relationship, no feelings, nothing between them, just this baby. Whereas, when Hayley came back to town and met Klaus' brother Elijah. The fireworks began! You could feel the sparks, it was kismet. It was like two old souls that were meant too be together. The scenes between them ever since, have been intense, it reminds me of EJami in a way. They have this "intense chemistry", this "presence", this "force", this "push and pull" between them that cannot be ignored. I will post some montages and clips when I'm done explaining the characters. Cami - (Cami is Father Kiernan niece and the sister of the guy who was killed in New Orleans. She was compelled by Klaus in order to protect her from knowing too much about what was really going on in New Orleans with the vampires and werewolves. Who are btw, the 2 warring factions.) The ending of the last episode, Cami starts to remember everything! All the memories that Klaus had compelled her to forget started coming back and she was screaming in pain in the church. This is NOT GOOD YAWL! Davina (Is a powerful young teenage witch being held captive by Marcel until recently, when Elijah promised her protection, freedom and to ability to learn more "powerful spells" from his own mother's grimoire book of spells. Up until this point she was on the vampires side (well she deflected from Marcel's side to Elijah's/Klaus' side because of Elijah and his "honor". As of the last episode we really don't know what happened to her but we think she is with Cami. (NOT GOOD!) Father Kiernan (He hides the vampires secret in town and Cami is his niece. It is to be believed his nephew went "mad" and killed himself. Klaus is investigating this story and Marcel might have more to do with it then he is letting on.) He is apart of a powerful human counsel in town that controls what goes on. Sophie Deveraux (Witch) she started the "Witches Harvest" which brought problems for the witches to be expelled from New Orleans to pratice magic. She was working in tandem with Marcel and also sleeping with him. They were what you call "magical powerful friends with benefits" She is still alive and looking to seek revenge and kill Davina to resurrect her dead sister who was a witch. (Who died by the hands of Marcel and the vampires.) Edited by EjamiShipper, Jan 12 2014, 04:37 PM.

Ah... right. It was Klaus who bit Elijah. Even though Klaus is doing these good things, I still think he is still not seeing his part in pushing his family away the way he did. Rebekah is younger than him and he was treating her as if he was her controlling father. Loved it when Cami called him out on being just like his dad. Of course, it went in one ear and out the other. |

We have got to talk about last night's episode! I am dying over here! I got up early today to write you. My Haylijah obsession knows no bounds! Did you see it? Elijah and Hayley? The forehead kiss. :fainting: He gave her the spell to break the curse of the werewolves? What he said!!!! Elijah fucking killed Celeste! He was conspiring with Monique on his master plan. OMFG! She won't be able to travel from body to body anymore! I have to compose myself before I continue to write. Give me a few. #Haylijah |

1x15 "Le Grand Guignol" The show starts off in 1919 again. There curtains open up to a party scene set: a swing band is performing, people are jitterbugging, and the alcohol flows free. (Wasn't this when prohibition was in effect?) “Well, this is a first,” Klaus muses . “Werewolves, vampires, witches, and dirty cops. All happy as clams and drunk as stoats?” (spelling?) Klaus is with a werewolf flapper. “You gotta love this city,” she says, who is standing beside him at the bar. Elijah pours up some shots for his lovely guest and his brother and toasts to good health, mirth and prosperity. “To a new era,” he announces, raising his glass. “Collaboration in the face of prohibition.” “To your docks, their booze, and our theaters to hide it under. You’re welcome, boys.” their beautiful friend responds, and then they all clink their drinks together and gulp down their booze. Klaus, overtaken by the lady’s sexy, dangerous vibe, leans in and whispers, “I shall have to think of a way to thank you personally, in a manner befitting a werewolf queen.” She smirks and sashays away like the Beyonce of the Roaring Twenties. Elijah hugs his brother and they marvel over the unification of New Orleans. “We did it, brother,” Klaus and Elijah are happy. It's indeed a glorious night! Now we FF to present day, where Klaus is lying in horrific pain at the Mikaelson compound, with Papa Tunde's magical bone dagger inside him. All while a very teary eyed Elijah looks on and figures out how to remedy this. Camille shows up at Marcel’s compound and she looks slightly panicked. Elijah hurries outside to greet her and hands her a drink (as a gentlemen would do!), and she starts to hound him about a potential cure for her Uncle Kieran, who is unfortunately still suffering the side effects of Bastianna’s hex. Elijah, however, has other plans for her and assures her he’s not in the business of playing games. Hayley is missing and Klaus is incapacitated. Cami demands to know who stabbed Klaus, and Elijah casually responds that it was he who tamed the beast. He then rolls up his sleeve and plunges his hand into Klaus’s chest, searching for Papa Tunde’s dagger like he’s is playing a game of operation without the tweezers. He manages to find it and then, to Cami’s horror, tells her the reason he invited her there today was so that she could keep Klaus from murdering their little sister Rebekah and feed him from her wrist every few hours so that he can regain his strength. Apparently Klaus respects her enough not to tear her head off — and her blood is now laced with vervain thanks to the drink Elijah handed her earlier, which means Klaus will ingest it slower. “Don’t you guys have bags of blood in storage?” Cami says with apprehension, but it is to no avail. Klaus witnesses the entire exchange and threatens to make Elijah pay!!! (I feel they are going to pair off Klaus and Cami eventually. All of this build-up, just a feeling I am getting.)Down by the bayou, Hayley is enjoying a little payback of her own!!! She and her fellow werewolf Eve have Sabine/Celeste all tied up with a rifle aimed right at her heart and are interrogating her. ”Careful, Sabine or Celeste or whatever the hell you’re calling yourself. Sudden moves make me jumpy these days. And homicidal.” Hayley remarks as she shoots out a warning shot into the air. She promises to really make it hurt if Sabine doesn’t cooperate and the "witch bitch" (Hayley called her that!). All the while Jackson and Oliver wolves looking on, Celeste/Sabine sighs and agrees not to hex anyone. Hayley then asks Sabine about Brynne Deveraux, the name of the witch who supposedly put a hex on the Crescent werewolves so that they’d only turn human on the full moon. She knows Celeste had taken control of the poor girl’s body at the time. Sabine stares at her all, ‘What about it?’ “I want you to undo it,” Hayley utters. Watcha going to do, Celeste/Sabine/Brynne/Whoever the HELL YOU ARE. Back at the compound, Cami spends her afternoon feeding Klaus. (Which he probably loved. Remember he was jealous of Cami feeding Marcel?) Cami says and I quote ”Wow, things I never thought I would be doing,” she utters, while rolling her eyes. “Feeding a vampire. My 16-year-old self would think I’m really cool right now.” Klaus ignores her and weakly utters, “The line between what brings you pain and what sustains you in far thinner than one imagines.” He then begins into retelling his tale of pain, namely how his sister ripped out his heart by bringing their father Mikael to town. Cami points out that he shouldn’t allow revenge to consume him, but it’s too late for that now. Or is it? I am starting to see a pattern here, that maybe thru Cami and his newborn child Klaus will be able to stop this pattern of hate and revenge. (If there is no hope in bring over Caroline from "TVD" that is.)Then we flashback in 1919 again. Klaus is onto Marcel and Rebekah as they are flirting with each other. He knows they have some sort of relationship going on. Klaus walks in front of the bar and confronts Rebekah. She is assuming that Klaus is going to end this and by that I mean Rebekah and then Marcel. I was actually quite shocked by the next part and didn't expected Klaus reaction to Marcel/Rebekah's relationship at all. He gives them there blessing and wishes them much happiness! Is this the real Klaus Mikealson? The only reason he’s ever thwarted her relationships is because he wanted to protect her from a broken heart. It’s okay now though — They have a permanent home so she can feel free to be with whomever she so desires! She flashes him an uneasy smile and crosses her fingers, desperately hoping the spell to bring Mikael to town failed. (BUT we all know that isn't going to happen!) Then, when she and Marcel are smooching in private, she points out that maybe Lady Luck is really on their side after all because six months have passed and there’s been no sign of her murderous father. (Um, hon, you might wanna look up, because Papa is watching this whole show.) You're luck has just ran out!We FF to present day, Klaus informs Cami that he foolishly allowed his love for his sister create a "blind spot" for betrayal. He let his guard down, plain and simple, and Cami nods her head. She knows now is not the time for a psychoanalysis or to shrink Klaus. Um, no. Elsewhere in New Orleans, Marcel and Rebekah realize the terrifying conclusion that when Klaus has a vendetta against you, no place on this Earth is safe!!! Just ask Katherine Freaking Pierce! Girlfriend was on the lam for over 500 years because Klaus was gunning for her pretty little ass. Marcel suggests that they resurrect Davina and have her cast a cloaking spell for them. There’s just one catch with this whole scheme — they have to take down the three witch leaders who started this whole mess in the first place: Bastianna, Genevieve and Celeste. Marcel makes an abrupt U-turn and heads back to New Orleans. He thinks his plan is amazing one but little does he know Klaus is in search of a powerful witch himself. Don't you think Marcel should have thought of that? They'd both be after Davina, he and Klaus? BUT -- Great minds think alike, friends. As it turns out, Elijah is on the prowl for a witch as well, just like his siblings. However, he’s not looking for just any witch — he wants to enlist the services of the young and impressionable Monique Deveraux! He manages to find her and asks for help in tracking down Celeste because he wrongfully assumes that his ex abducted his lady love Hayley. Monique remains hesitant about aligning herself with a vampire but he points out that Celeste will jump bodies and kill innocent people, just like she always does. And just like he did with Davina, Elijah forks over a page from his mother Esther’s grimoire and gives the magical witch a lesson in how Celeste has managed to survive all these years. Monique looks at him as though to say, ‘Go on. Tell me more.’ YES! #TeamElijah #TeamMonique In attempt to set some dangerous events into motion, Rebekah and Marcel need a spy so they turn to their good ole pal Thierry. They beg for his help in massacring all those bat-shit crazy witches and naturally he’s not on board at first. Thierry thinks this plan is very flawed and he just so happens to like his his limbs intact, thank you very much. “Not many go against those odds and live to talk about it,” he tells them. Marcel, however, stares him right in the eye and states, “I’m standing here right now, aren’t I? And I’ve come up against the worst of them all.” We once again flashback to 1919 and we watch as Mikael approaches Marcel and tells him his lady love is a great beauty. ”Men search the world over for a woman like her.” he remarks with a hint of nostalgia. (Color me creeped out but what an awkward comment for a father to make.) “She’s taken, friend,” Marcel says quite territorially. Mikael raises his hands as though to suggest he means him no harm (yet) and that the girl reminds him of his dearly departed wife. Marcel pours him a drink and Mikael accepts it with a smile — then and promptly thanks him for the personal invitation to New Orleans. Suddenly, Marcel’s face clouds over and he realizes that he’s actually conversing with the man, the legend, the one and only Mikael, patriarch of The Originals. He rises to leave but Mikael compels him to sit his ass back down. “As I said, New Orleans does have its charms. But to call me,” he coldly utters. “The one they call the Destroyer. The one who’s burnt cities far more charming than this one to the ground in pursuit of my children. But now I see. You did it for love. The love of my daughter.” Marcel freaks out and begs him not to hurt his sweet Rebekah, and Mikael agrees but only on condition: that he show him the way to Klaus and Elijah. He then adds in that, unlike most dads who cherish all their children equally, he has a favorite and it just so happens to be Lady Bex. Meanwhile, we FF to present day, Klaus is still hungry and surprisingly reluctant about sucking Cami to the brink of death. He tells that he’ll just go fetch some blood from the kitchen, but she shushes him. “You won’t make it that far,” she points out. “Now be a good boy and get back into bed.” Naturally, because you can’t toss an order like that in Klaus’s way and not expect a cheeky comment in return, he replies, “I beg to differ. Some women actually find me quite charming.” Touche Klaus! We are back in 1919 and wake up in bed with Klaus and Lana doing naughty things to each other. Elijah opens the door and strolls on in before coming to a halt. Klaus having sex? He rubs his eyes together just to be sure that his brother is actually having fun for a change. “Sleeping with the enemy, I see,” he jokes and everyone’s like, ‘Sir, it’s called knocking,’ but he strolls on in, pours himself a drink, and acts as though no one is naked under those sheets. Lana laughs and, because she knows she’s in the presence of two fancy men, shows them two tickets to the opera for “Les Huguenots.” (It's a story about "forbidden love" in which a father murders his own child and a beautiful wedding day turns into what became the exact premise of Kill Bill? ) Lana promises to introduce Elijah to the soprano (as long as he doesn’t eat her) and Klaus chimes in and tells him to invite Rebekah and Marcel along. The more the merrier. Or not. :tears:Elsewhere in New Orleans (we’re in present time FYI), Celeste mixes up a potion that she claims will destroy the curse placed upon Hayley’s relatives. Exactly at this time - Elijah swooshes in out of nowhere and points fingers at Celeste, calling her a liar, but Hayley can’t see the "bigger picture" — you can’t hold a powerful witch like her hostage for a month without something going awry. BUT - Hayley is freaking pregnant and doesn’t have time for this nonsense. She tells Elijah "that when the cure pans out, the witch is all his; for now though, she needs her alive in the event the potion doesn’t work." The wolves around her howl to show their loyalty, but Elijah doesn’t obey her command. He snatches up Celeste and the “potion,” and vamp speeds through the woods. Meanwhile, poor Eve’s all ‘Uh, guys. Did that just happen?’ Yeah it did. Once he has her far away from the wolf pack, Elijah slams Celeste against a nearby tree and she smirks, probably thinking they’re going to be like Klaus and Caroline and have hot and intense woodland sex. (NO Biznitch!) However, Elijah is not in the market for dry humping villainous vixens. He just wants to know if the cure is actually a damn poison and if Hayley’s wolf buds are going to need to swallow a bezoar if they consume this deadly concoction. Celeste assures him that she’s not lying, but if he does elect to smash the jar, she will ultimately get her revenge because Hayley won’t ever be able to forgive him. This is quite a quandry for Elijah. Damn you Celeste. Damn You!!!! You know who else is in an uncomfortable position? Thierry. Not only does he look like he’s about to spring into a festive rendition of “Seize the Day” with his fancy newsboy cap, but he also meets in private with Genevieve and Bastianna. He barely sits down and works them over with his boyish charm than they begin to chant gibberish. Almost immediately, Thierry collapses onto the ground and Rebekah and Marcel use this momentary diversion to zoom on in and decapitate the matriarch mid-sentence. Genevieve, however, conjures up some potent magic and threatens to turn them into ash if they so much as touch a strand of her red head. She sets Rebekah’s hand on fire and then Marcel’s arms and vanishes. Rebekah suggests that they leave before they die a bloody death but Marcel ain’t leaving without his Davina, that’s for damn sure! #TeamRebekah #TeamDavina As this is happening, Klaus continues to tell Cami with stories from his tragic past. He pours out some scotch as a form of self-medication and informs her that he doesn’t hate Elijah quite as feverishly as he does Rebekah, but his brother still sucks for trying to kill him. Apparently on the night of the opera, Mikael surprises Elijah, who’s dressed to impress in a fine tux, with a sneak attack and forces him to take his side in this supernatural battle of family versus family. Papa Mikael actually tries the argument that Klaus is a bastard because their mother made passionate love to a werewolf back in the day, and Elijah stares at him semi-disgusted, semi-stunned. You can tell the idea that Klaus is only his half-brother doesn’t bother him but Mikael won’t stand for such treachery. “It is your bastard brother I have hunted, not you. Never you. You are my blood. One I have been proud to call son. So I came here to give you the chance to help me put down the him for good.” he spits with sheer rage. He continues, “Niklaus is an abomination. You do not talk to abominations, you do not reason with them or try to change them. You erase them. So, yes, I am asking you to help me kill your brother.” OMFG, Mikael is cold blooded. Thank the heavens Klaus had Elijah. However, as Klaus points out to Cami, Mikael was, at the time, in possession of white oak stakes that would have kill his children, including Elijah, for good. Then, in the middle of his story, Klaus receives a text that (Bonnie and Clyde aka his sister and her lover) have been spotted and he wastes no time in smashing a nearby head bust of Alexander the Great and yanking out a white oak stake. (Props for the hiding spot. So much better than a soap dish, ahem ahem.) He tells Cami that this is his own very special stake and this version cannot be destroyed. He then turns and races out of the room. *tada* Cami, worried that Klaus is too weak to take on his powerful siblings, chases after him and orders him to eat something. Klaus is already on it — he’s draining out a local civilian like his blood is made out of lolli pops and pleasant dreams. He orders her to get lost but Cami actually understands him better than he understands his own self and tells him she finally saw good in him, and speaking as a person who has lost a sibling, the loss is incomparable to anything else in the world. (Um, he knows, girl. He’s lost three brothers already. Take a chill pill.) Still, she really gets to him when she points out that if he chases down Rebekah he is no better than Mikael. “When Davina showed me all you’d done to me, all you took from me — I wanted to kill you. I actually thought about burying that blade in you like the witches asked me to!” she cries. She reveals that she weighed the good in him versus every horrible thing he’s done, and no matter what, in the end, she didn’t want to live with all the terrible regret. Cami then shows her vulnerability by informing him she lost a sibling and knows how heartbreaking the loss is. She tells him if he chases down Rebekah then he’s no better than his father. Klaus laughs at that statement. Incredulous! “I’ve been called every shade of monster there is — but my father? That’s new. Mikael was the monster that monsters were afraid of.” (Comparing Klaus to Mikael was a very bad comparsion but non-the-less woke him up, good on you Cami!) Haylijah moments: Down at the bayou, Elijah returns with Celeste to the wolf camp and he faces Hayley. She seems a bit pissed, but it’s nothing a little shirtless action wouldn’t fix. (Wubba, wubba I'll take shirtless Elijah, anyday!) Elijah hands her the jar with the potion and tells her believes in its curing powers…. Hayley is elated because she’ll finally get to spend more time with her family (and, yes, her would-be husband Jackson who I believe is a stalker and super-obsessive of her TBC.) in human form. She and Elijah hug and he plants the most touching kiss on her forehand, and says, “I wonder if they have any idea how lucky they are to have you.” Finally a little more emotion out of Elijah on how he feels without overstepping his bounds. (because right now she is still pregnant with his brother's child). Awkward. Celeste observes this touching moment with slight jealousy because her ex just went to third base with a pregnant chick and it’s got her mad! So, she makes a wisecrack about Elijah’s convent-style affection. He calls her cruel and she replies, “Oh, this game never ends, Elijah. We’re both immortal.” Don’t worry, he has a rebuttal ready: “Then what’s the point if you can’t win?” She doesn’t argue. She reveals that Rebekah is still in New Orleans and she and Marcel are trying to bring Davina back. Klaus already figured out their plot and the Mikaelson family is well on their way to complete ruin. Elijah grabs her throat and plunges his teeth in her. (Finally an Original Bite that can cause her pain and madness! YES!!!! BRING. IT. ON #TeamElijah for the win!) Klaus takes Cami around the town and quizzes her on local history. She’s like, ‘Dude. I’m a psych student. No.’ Klaus seizes the teaching opportunity and tells her all about the night the infamous local opera house burned to the ground. Suddenly, we flashback to 1919 and Klaus and Rebekah at in a balcony overlooking the stage. Klaus is perturbed because this is his sister’s first public date with his former protege is late. Rude much? Klaus tells her Marcel "Might be bored now that their affair is no longer illicit and might have run off with a Havana show girl." A worried Rebekah orders Klaus to stop being such a “toe-rag” and dashes off to the lobby to check on him. Just as she does, Mikael enters the box and thinks "It’s a jolly swell idea to reenact the Abraham Lincoln assassination with the boy he raised as his son." Even before he orders Klaus not to make a move or else he’ll stake him, Klaus senses something is amiss and his blood runs cold. When Klaus addresses him as his father, Mikael scoffs, “Father? Still clinging to that word after all these years. A bastard desperate for a daddy. I wonder if your real father would be as embarrassed of you as I was even before I discovered you were not mine? Most likely.” The pained expression on Klaus’ face is too much to bear. (For him and for me!) Joseph Morgan killed those scenes! While choking back tears, Klaus informs his father that he no longer is begging for scraps of love from him. He has the respect of an entire town and his achievements are commendable. Mikael practically laughs in his face and hisses in his ear: “As I walked the streets, your name was spoken of in reverent tones by the city’s finest. After I kill you, I will remain in New Orleans until every last person that remembers you is dead. I will expunge you from history. The deeds of the mighty Klaus will be remembered by no one. And you, Boy, will simply never have existed.” That’s a tough pill for Klaus, for even Achilles chose kleos over a long life of anonymity. Luckily the show is about to begin and the opera stage curtains draw open slowly. Mikael chuckles and points out he’s taken the liberty of making some edits. Suddenly, we see Klaus’ beloved werewolf queen Lana dead along with all of his Prohibition allies. Their heads are arranged on pikes in some of creepy fashion and Marcel remains crucified to a wagon wheel. The audience hoots and hollers at the tortured vamps — but mostly because Mikael, who doesn’t appreciate the critic community, compelled them to like his sadistic version!!! Klaus panics and tries to free Marcel but Mikael picks a fight with him. Rebekah then swoops in to lend a hand and Mikael stakes her. Thankfully, Elijah is able to come to the their aid and the two brothers fight their father when he injures poor Rebekah, using shards of a cello. Unfortunately for Marcel, after Mikael tears into his throat, they peg him for dead and leave the poor guy burning along with the theater. (Little do they know, Marcel is still alive and that Mikael staged the whole murder to get rid of his kids, before handing Klaus’ pal the keys to the New Orleans.) We FF to present day, Klaus confesses to Cami that what his dad tried to pull at the the opera robbed him of his last shred of humanity. He assures Cami that he will make Marcel and Rebekah’s deaths painful and he won’t humanize/dehumanize them. Elijah arrives to the City of the Dead cemetery and is shocked to find Rebekah and Marcel still lounging around. He tells them to leave now and Marcel scoops up Davina’s body and bolts out of there at Rebekah’s request. Elijah drops a freshly bitten Celeste against a headstone. She points out she would have come along even with all the compelling and gets extra feisty when she reveals that she can jump into any body that she wants,(she is a traveler like Catherine Pierce in "TVD") and he’ll never know if a woman he’s attracted to is actually her. Elijah has a clever comeback but it’s obstructed by Celeste being able to leave the graveyard, but Elijah isn’t. A "boundary spell" was keeping them there. “Boundary spells” she utters, a luscious smirk spreading across her face. She mentions how the spell is based on a lunar cycle and how he will be released during the next moon, and slinks her way down a dark tunnel. After harassing Elijah about his future romantic predicaments, she starts laughing because she’s past the boundary line and he can’t get at her. (What she doesn’t know is that he plotted with Mikael for control of the city. Ahh!) Hilariously (at least for her), Rebekah can’t leave either. Sabine picks up a shard of glass and stabs her neck with it. Unfortunately for her, Monique overhears the entire conversation and realizes Elijah was right about Celeste. She points Elijah towards a bunch of bones she arranged ever so carefully inside a crypt. #TeamElijah#TeamMonique! Elijah walks in there and he finds he ex-lover waking up. He reveals that she failed the test he and Monique set up for her, and even though she begs for mercy, Elijah doesn’t relent. He stabs her in the gut much to her horror. Crazy, I was so shocked by this TWIST! HELL TO THE NO Celeste you are not fucking with this family. Celeste is dead. Does this mean Davina is alive? Yes! Hallelujah! I am in tears and yet rejoycing at the same time! The poor girl wakes up in an extreme panic, gasping for air, and Marcel is there by her side to console her and watch over her like a guardian angel without wings. Sadly, the sweet reunion is marred by Klaus storming the cemetery and shouting Rebekah’s name. As this is all happening, we get glimpses from 1919 that mirror this situation — only back then it was Mikael screaming for his children to come out come out wherever they were and Elijah fending for both Klaus and Rebekah. As Klaus demands that Rebekah present herself, Elijah appears before his brother and tries to talk sense into him. It fails miserably — so Klaus tells Elijah to stand aside because he has some unfinished business with his back-stabbing sister. NO WAY. The three Mikaelsons fang out: it’s family wartime, biotches! What a fucking epic episode! All hail to Julie Plec and her writers! Edited by EjamiShipper, Mar 5 2014, 04:22 PM.

I just rewatched the part where Elijah and Hayley are hugging. (When he goes back to give her the potion to lift the curse) He goes to almost kiss her on the LIPS! But then he musters up all the self control he has and kisses her forehead. Kill me now!

OK, so what was this episode? I'm such a mess!! My Haylijah feels aren't letting me process Klaus and how he was such a beautiful (well sort of...) person before all of this transpired with their father, Rebekah and Marcel. (It wasn't even really necessary.) Klaus accepted them as a couple afterall. All I can think about is Haylijah, why Julie Plec, why? Damn you!!!! I have to actually agree with Celeste, what the hell kind of kiss was that Elijah? He's so sweet with her that I just want to scream OMG. She lights up around him! I read in an interview that after the resolution between the siblings, Elijah is going to find himself jealous of Jackson. (Plot Point, we saw this coming 1,000,000 miles away, didn't we? Um-hum) I know I've said before that would be EPIC, since it would be the push Elijah needed, I take it back, my poor baby!!!!, The thought of losing Hayley nearly broke him, I don't want to see Jackson anywhere near Hayley. Keep him as a wolf!!! Keep that psycho-stalker away from Hayley. (There is something off with him!) Please don't let Elijah have to snap a neck. (You know what I'm saying ) I can see forshadowing for many episodes down the road. Jackson wants Hayley, she is conflicted with "real feelings" for Elijah, while this crazy ass psycho wants to marry her and take her baby. (Klaus' child). Can you see Klaus flipping out now? What about Elijah not dealing with this whole new situation well? I don't see it happening. He is going to really fight for Hayley now and just when he is ready to throw in the towel, she will come realize she is in love with Elijah, that Jackson is bad news and go to the Mikaelsons for help. What is Jackson's endgame, I bet it isn't good. I still cannot get over how, Celeste was just SO DAMN cruel to Elijah, OMG! It's hard to believe she ever loved him at all. I have a hard time believing they had the end all to be all romance now. Damn that felt good. Vent over. Edited by EjamiShipper, Mar 5 2014, 07:44 PM.

While it was an exciting show, I felt some of it was a bit contrived and there were holes in the story. There are witches everywhere... why would Rebekah and Marcel need to go back to New Orleans? Davina makes sense, but they could have waited to save her after they had another witch from somewhere else to put a cloaking spell on them. I love Cami, but the scenes between her and Klaus towards the end seemed a bit forced when he was giving her a tour of New Orleans to finish telling the story of when his "father" came to NO. It was for the plot. How did Cami know where to go when she caught up with Klaus when he first fled? Shouldn't another of the young witches be awake now? It appears that when Celeste died, Davina came back. What about when Bastiana died? Is one of the young girls in the crypt buried alive? Where is Josh? lol |

Really, contrived and holes in the story? What will it take to impress you Julian? I thought it was DAMN GOOD! Definitely better then the prior week's episode. (Although last week's episode was like a foundation for this weeks'.)I think it was more of Marcel wanting to go back to NOLA not Rebekah. But because she loves Marcel, she agrees to go back and revive Davina. Now you bring up a valid point and ITA, why couldn't they find another witch to put a cloaking spell on them. I love Cami also but I feel like she is more intergral to the plot. She is more like Klaus' confessor/friend/shrink. While it might seemed a bit forced or contyrived to some, I see where the show is going with them and the story. Klaus needs someone, he needs a friend. He never had one and basically she is all he has right now. She seems to know where to seek him out because she has gone looking for him before. (to kill him, for help, etc.) Another point, Elijah is his brother and has always vowed to protect him and try to redeem him, it's not the same thing as actually having a friend. Even though they do love each other. So there was 4 young witches scarificed at "The Witches Harvest" right? Davina, Monique and 2 others. You bring up a good point on another young witch being resurrected from the dead. But who? Do we remember all the young witches? Who they were? Now I showed you the imbd.com link and Josh will be appearing again soon. I believe it was in episodes Spoiler: click to toggle

It was a great episode! It just bothered me I guess (I think Days is doing this to me) that sometimes plans aren't thought out or things aren't explained. Yeah, I think I'll blame Days. I don't remember the other two girls' names. I don't really think Cami and Klaus's friendship is forced. I just thought the scenes where Klaus decided to take a break from going after his sister to give Cami the run down in New Orleans. I do have one question though about your recap. Did they really show Mikael giving the keys to Marcel or is that a theory you have? Edited by Julian, Mar 7 2014, 02:14 PM.

I really believe that Mikeal gave Marcel the keys to Klaus kingdom. He hated Klaus so much and thought he was an "abomination" his wife created with a werewolf. Therefore, this was his punishment to Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah. (For disobeying him and not following his orders to kill Klaus.) There legacy as the ruling family of NOLA and most powerful one was fully erased by Marcel taking over. You see I now re-watch the episode the next day to see if there are details that I missed before I discuss it with you now! Although, I don't remember the other two young witches names either. I think that whole scene between Klaus and Cami not forced because Cami was following him. (She was trying to stop him from killing Rebekah and Marcel as Elijah asked her to do. Plus she wanted to honestly help him.) He was looking to kill Rebekah and Marcel; and she was trying to distract him by getting him explaining the story (or backstory of what happened between them back in 1919). When he explained how he accepted Marcel/Rebekah, she betrayed him, Marcel betrayed him, she brought back there father to hunt him down and kill him. The opera, how Mikeal showed up and and tortured him. How Elijah tred to defend him and he didn't hate Elijah but he could never forgive Rebekah. Hence the tour. Do you remember the part of the episode when Mikael was talking to Marcel in the bar about Klaus and Elijah, and he spoke of how he's burnt cities to the ground? He was the "impaler" and he went onto discuss Rebekah and what he'd do for love? That part of the episode Mikael discusses with Marcel about getting rid of Niklaus and Elijah and then the city would be yours. (Well something to that effect. That is when the deal was made. Marcel faked his death on the stage of the play. In return Mikael gave him NOLA.) |

ARTICLE IS SPOILERISH Press release synopsis for 1×17 “Moon Over Bourbon Street”! Written by Cecelia Lawshe // March 8, 2014 Press release synopsis for The Originals “Moon Over Bourbon Street”! The press release synopsis for The Originals episode of “Moon Over Bourbon Street” indicates that the Mikaelson siblings have survived their ordeal in the City of the Dead. It seems as if Klaus might be depressed after Elijah accused him of being like their father in the “Farewell to Storyville” first sneak peek. It will be interesting to see what he did with the White Oak stake he intended to finish off Rebekah with. As the party theme continues, they decide to throw another extravagant party, this time to bring peace to the Quarter. Maybe it will also help Klaus to perk up a bit from the sadness of not burying the stake in his sister! Does the deal with Jackson have anything to do with Rebekah? Since Jackson is at the party, sounds like the curse on Hayley’s werewolf clan has finally been broken. However, the hex on Father Kieran, played by Todd Stashwick, sounds like it’s alive and well and will unfortunately do him in. I was so hoping he would become a regular but it sounds like he may soon end up like his nephew. Six feet under and possibly headed in the opposite direction of heaven.
This episode was written by Michelle Paradise and Christopher Hollier, and was directed by Michael Robinson. SOURCE/MANY THANKS:http://theoriginalscw.com/press-release-synopsis-for-the-originals-1x17-moon-over-bourbon-street-2/ |

They are building up different layers to Klaus' redemption for his child for himself for his family very delicately. I am looking forward to next week's episode.
He promised, his word that no harm would come to Hayley or her baby and he lived up to it and then some! He took out the head witch Angus, who wanted to kill Hayley and her baby. He snapped the bitches head straight off! "Nobody messes with my family!" were his exact words. Elijah Michaelson, you are my bodyguard!

) She (Rebekah) figured out who Genevieve was pretty fast by those treatments she was giving the patients. Marcel did intrigue me though and I should have remembered from that past episode, he'd be the one who'd want the witch. He was the one who wanted to be free to love Rebekah without any interference. Of course, Rebekah didn't have any disagreements to this. He suggested they go to the witch that could remove the spell basically "so they could be together forever". I definitely enjoyed how Rebekah and Marcel had the whole "star crossed lovers" thing going. (It kind of reminded me of another couple on this show. *cough* *Elijah and Hayley*)
out. (But in a good way of course.) Elijah has a smoking hot body and I look forward to any upcoming love scenes he has in the near future. Take it off.
She won't be able to travel from body to body anymore!
You're luck has just ran out!
Joseph Morgan killed those scenes!
