Ordinarily, I'd start these things off with a picture that I've taken that I think is awesome and then just keep building things from there.
I'm going to do things a little differently this time..... I'm going to do a poem AND a photo!

Now I'm not usually one for writing my poetry down as I normally don't consider my poetry very good at all.
When a poem comes into my head I generally type it up as a text message on my phone and then delete it.
For once I didn't know what to do with the scribble I just tapped out when this one came into existence.
First instinct was to throw it out, but for some reason that didn't seem quite right, so I sent it to OD and THEN deleted it from my phone solving my problem.
I didn't know that he'd kept it until he sent it back to me a couple of months later. At the time, I actually asked him if it was one of his poems and if not, then who's was it because it was good.
His response was to tell me straight up that it was mine and I didn't really believe him until he showed me the text message.

Anyways... Here's the poem:

Through the pale twilight the solitary stalker creeps.
Dressed in her cloak of black velvet gifted by the moon.
Her eyes liquid amber bestowed by the sun.
Suddenly she crouches her body tensed like a spring.
Quick as a flash like a bullet from a gun she bounds across the landscape towards prey unsuspecting.
With barely a struggle down comes the hunted.
Then off trots the leopardess with the unfortunate locked in her jaws.

And now for the photo:

As a warning, this thread is going to be more photos than it is poems, so don't expect many more little gems like that on a regular basis.
