Good evening citizens of Okatama,

I am Emperor Fisher of Crapola and I would like to say on behalf of the citizens of our beautiful nation how thrilled we are to be a part of a wider community among the NationStates. We are a neutral and very peaceful nation and intend to stay that way. The Crapolan people live life as laid back and free as possible and are very honest, sometimes brutally!!

As a nation, we pride ourselves on freedom. Everyone is free to do as they please with little or no interference from my government. However, we do take a very firm stance on crime which currently is a problem in our country. Crime is unacceptable and is punished according to the severity of the crime. We do have the death penalty but it is rarely used. This policy is also constantly under review.

Our Crapolan Prosecution/Police System is accountable to the crown and government. All suspects are regarded as innocent until proven guilty and all trials are subject to jury. All sentences can be appealed . In cases of the death penalty being considered, only I can pass sentence. Again the plaintiff and defense teams can appeal. The Crapolan people currently have 1 civic duty and that is to serve on a jury at some point in their working lifetime. 1 Year's Military Service for anyone between the ages of 16 and 21 is being debated in our government at this moment in time in order to combat our crime issues.

Crapola's ecomomy at this time is fairly stable, founded upon Automobile Manufacturing and at this moment in time a small Arms Manufacturing industry (currently serving our own army). We currently do not have a welfare system(with the exception of pensions and help for the disabled) but my government is looking to help out only the most needy of my people i.e those on low paid jobs trying to stay afloat, and not the most greedy i.e those who can work but can't be bothered. Crapolans currently appear to have a huge sense of community, helping each other out where they can, which has served us well. However, since joining the world assembly and a baby boom recently, we are rapidly growing so a welfare system will need to be provided soon.

We have a well funded and well run healthcare system which is serving our population well at this moment in time. The general health of the nation, so my Health Secretary Gail Pox tells me is stable although mental illness is becoming a problem due to our current lax laws on drug use and possession. There is also a private health sector.

Education is very important to the people of Crapola. In fact 80% of our population at this moment have a higher education qualification. As a result, Crapolans are very rational and reasonable people. Schooling is compulsory in Crapola but citizens have a choice to home school (with the lure of some tax relief) or send children to our exceptional schools.

At this moment in time, Crapolans are a secular, non religious society, prefering to live lives free from religious dogma and prefer scientific reason

Press is free

Crapola is a beautiful country to visit. We have some stunning natural scenery such as the Bata Falls on our longest river the Bata Aii and man made wonders such as the Yyo Tombs in Crapola City, our capital. Much of Crapola is natural forested landscape in which our national animal the Flange roams. The majority of our small current population of around 5-6 million Crapolans of all creed and colour live in Crapola City in South East of the land. There are 2 other major cities, Kqua to the East and Illios in the far north which also serve as major living spaces for our citizens.

Well I do believe I have wandered off on a major tangent/advertisment there. I will leave all fellow Okatawan's some quick facts about our fair and free land. We look forward to a very prosperous and free future.

Feel Free
