urgently (if possible, bearing in mind the closing date!)

can someone help by telling me the text source, and basic English translation (not word-for-word, just the general "gist") for the beautiful pages 63-64 of the Léon manuscript [http://bvpb.mcu.es/es/consulta/registro.cmd?id=449895] - that's pages 63-64 of the online PDF, on the manuscript itself it's page 29-30

any help would be much appreciated!

thankyou - Andrea

really sorry if I'm not being clever - but what other thread? I've looked through all the discussion boards and can't find it!

any chance you can "hold my hand" and give me the specific URL?

oh -- found it! -- it was a reply to another post (?!) sorry I find these zeta-boards quite cumbersome to navigate -- anyway, you wrote:

"I don't know how to get at the pdf. Can you see what the folio numbers are? (should be written at the top of the page). Two whole pages is going to be a LOT of text to translate... any chance you can narrow it down to a sensible amount of text for a composition?!"

I have saved/downloaded the 2 pages in question (as PDF) -- as you say, probably too much for a short piece anyway. Really don't need every word translated. But it's weird as a composer setting words and not knowing what they "mean" -- perhaps this itself a very Protestant Northern-European approach!!

Will try to send the PDF.

Hi Andrea,

What you call pages 63-64 correspond to folio 29 recto and 29 verso of the Antiphoner. You can find the Latin text of L8 chants here Specifically, the texts on fol. 29rv can be found in the pics 81-82.

Hope this helps!

Best wishes,

Elsa
