The red morning sun barely half way shown yet the Island of Cinemia was in full wake. The people were out and about like it was a festival in full swing. People were fighting and shouting lines like the street as a stage. The rush of Cinemia told about was no doubt true in all its nature. The wind held an enticing feel to it. This was no play to come and want to rest or lazy about.

Alex smiles taking in the sights and sounds the island that is Cinemia had to offer. Something as small as walking through the streets gave the trill of being a possible extra in a movie. It was all about being the center of attention here for these people. Even on the streets you could see and hear the people practicing to be put into a movie. whether it was coming from the homes or the roads it could just about all be sen from the streets. Alex was enjoying Cinemia to no end until he heard a faint scream. Faint or not it was irritating to hear, fast paced foot steps going across the high levels. Alex was starting to get on high-alert. If it was not for the possible fact it could just be a movie being made. He would have been following the sound by now. Though this was Cinemia he was on. Alex choose to ignore it for now. He had other things to do like see what kind of stuff they had to eat.

Two and a half hours... Megan was thinking as they left the instructor behind and stepped into the enormous training room. There was a field ahead that stretched most of the center room here and clearly for the definition of 'field training'. Near the doorway they'd come in were an array of weapons ranging from knives to pistols. It was certainly a utopia for someone gifted in the art of weaponry and someone like Megan found herself pretty fascinated with the small-arms weapons, like pistols and knives.

As they were walking towards the field Alex was clearly trying to get the training rooms' computer to respond, which it was abstinently refusing to do. If it wasn't going to respond to his words then the other option was a visible panel of some kind that they could find and then access. She continued walking towards the arena and took a look around trying to find something like that. "I'm not sure if it answers to us or whether its controlled from the outside." she said to Alex. "So I think we should head into the arena and take a look around anyways. I can't see a panel from here and we'll be closer to the other side in there, maybe we'll see one. On the way, we might trigger the training system in this room, whatever it is." she said as she walked towards the center of the giant oval, almost like a modern warfare arena.

As she passed the first of the square structures ringing the outer perimeter of the training arena she at the last moment saw a boxing glove rush at her face and brought her metal hand up. The glove connected with half her fist and half her face anyways, dropping her onto the arena floor with a huff as she winced and then rolled back, just out of the arena area. It had come up along the end of a wooden dummy's extended fist through a side window she'd tried to pass. It clicked back into place, hidden.

"It appears the perimeter is manned by ... dummies." she half stated, half grumbled.

"It appears the perimeter is manned by ... dummies." Upon hearing this Alex smiled. "Guess that means that I don't have to figure it out for now." Alex walked up to the right side of the wall and looked over the weapons he could choose from. He was familiar with the spear, sword, and knives but nothing else on the wall he knew how to work. Alex was about to grab the spear until he noticed a bow just above the spear.

A re-curved composite bow it was real. A bow known to shot up to 536 meters it looked near half the size of his bow. This could be a Strong rank weapon for all he knew. He went to reach for it before what the instructor said replayed in his head "While using this room you will have access to Regular and Proficient weapons only.". Alex was not allowed to use anything that was not Regular or Proficient. Alex wanted something more fit for raiding a base. A bow was not likely to be the best thing in a possible enclosed area. Alex looked over the weapons on the wall once more and spotted a gun. The engraving on the side said it was an m9. "Megan whats an M9 gun?"

Megan was taking a closer look at the setup of boxes and structures hiding the dummies and thinking about the blow she'd taken just now. It wasn't as if any of it had been lethal but it had been a good lesson on what not to do when encountered with an unfamiliar area. Even here, safe in Marine HQ she was being trained for the not-so-safe streets outside.

She turned a moment after Alex did to take a look over the weapons that were lining the wall on small hooks, lights beaming down onto them from above and below. Megan walked to the opposite side of the wall, the left, and began taking a look over the weapons at their disposal. Her side started with the knives and got bigger, into machetes, then tonfas, staffs, some sort of rifle, then swords followed by the pistols. There were also a variety of weapons she hadn't seen before, such as a gauntlet with a crushing pair of opened pincer blades lining them, and a bladestaff.

That weapon interested her. It was a two foot long polearm, by all looks and appearances. She put a hand on it and then, with a slowly growing grin raised and spun it through her fingers before pointing it across herself, straight ahead. She pressed one of the indented switches on it and, as she had expected a twenty-inch blade sprang out quietly. She pressed the other indented switch with her metallic thumb and the other blade came out too.

"The M9 is a semi automatic pistol. Thats about as much as I know about the weapon. Guns are a good idea, because I'm guessing we'll have to deal with more than the dummies." she said to him with a pragmatic smile, thumbing the weapon switches as the blades disappeared back into the polearm. Walking over to the pistol section where he was, she tucked one with 'PT 1911' on it in her back pocket/makeshift holster. She also grabbed a long knife and inserted it into her arm holster, deciding that with the three weapons she had that she was ready -- for now. "Ready? Lets do this." she said, turning and beginning a run back at the dummy-ridden, structure-filled arena.

Semi automatic meant it was meant for rapid fire. Alex smiled at the thought of being able to take down people guarding the base at a faster rate. If it was in the marine armory then it had to able to do more then pull its own weight. If it could help raid the base Alex was going to have to consider having one encase he wants to save his arrows. Alex took the gun and put it into one of his jacket's inside pockets.

Alex continued to check out the wall. "A spear is good for a bit of range. A sword might be easier to use in a small area. Then the knives just a shorter sword for the most part.". Alex eyes widen he had forgotten his Swiss Army Knife. It was what he used to pick locks and etc when he was stealing. How the hell was he going to get them in the bases without his means of getting past some pesky locks. His claws was always long enough or strong to break the locks he came across. Alex begin trying to home in on a Swiss army knife. They had to have one in here, it looked to have everything else it just had to have ONE of them for him to use.

Spears, swords, guns, throwing knives, bows, ace, and etc all covered the wall but it was not what he was looking for right now. Why the fuck would the marine base training room not have a Swiss army knife somewhere. Then it hit Alex, his was custom it was a locksmith knife. It was made to get through just about any uncommon locks it was able to reflect light very well if light was shined on it. It served him well back on the island and he forgot what made his thieving possible without him getting caught. He had the skills any just about every right but they knife was a birthday gift and got him out of tight spots when hunting. Alex felt like he was going to faint.

Megan saw that Alex was actually pretty keen about the weapons, still going over some of the firearms as she began checking her own weapons and turning to the expansive arena again. "Yea .. well we have to get used to everything. Never know what a pirate will bring to a fight." she said to him as she walked over to the same spot she had originally been whacked down by the dummy. Crossing over from the metallic flooring to the green, soft-field like ground of the lit arena itself she kept her hand wrapped tightly around her chosen weapon.

At the moment she remembered the dummy swinging up out of the building window she was beside she brought the staff up in a stab, thumbing one of the switches. A blade extended and slid roughly into the punching glove of the dummy. She brought her free hand then up to stop the dummy head before yanking her weapon out of the glove and leaving it there. She stepped forwards slowly, this time ducking below the next structures' window as she crept along the urban warfare arena. Until Alex joined her she'd play it cautious and work with her new weapon, using the gun as a last resort. "I think the goal is the center of this thing. Come on!" she called, standing as she made it past the second window.

Megan was right training needs to be done now. Alex grabbed a knife with 8 inch blade and sheathed it. "Now where was the spear I had seen?" Alex went looking over the all to try and spot the spear he had seen before. Not seeing it he backed away from the wall. Then he saw it... Right in front of his face. Alex blushed in embarrassment for all his accuracy he missed something cause it was a bit too close.

He grabbed the spear and inspected it, 4 feet long topped by a sharped spear head. He tossed it around a bit to check its weight and get a feel for it. "Seems pretty balanced though its been a while since I used a spear. Smooth wooden body, good quality finish, and a well maintained point." Alex jabbed it around a bit as if trying to the air. "I can use this. Hell maybe I should keep it bahahahaha." Alex turned and headed toward the field. He had training to do so he would have to write back to his parents about his knife later.

The structures were a mix of cardboard and laminated white walled surfaces forming boxed building-like squares that Megan was starting to realize she'd have to weave in and out of. Some of them were one story high with the open windows and others were much taller. There were open, green spaces with pillars in them closer to the center of the arena. There were even streets and bales of hay maybe the size of a horse, rolled there as small structures to hide behind too.

From where she was two buildings into the arena perimeter she could see a painted target down the road on what would be the second floor of a building. It jutted out of the brown-and-white structure, perfectly round bullseye put there as if just for her. She wasn't about to throw her auto-knife weapon like a fool, so instead she reached back for the gun she'd stowed and then pulled it out, getting used to its weight.

"What are you going on about over there?" she asked Alex, because she could hear him going on about something over by the weapon rack. "You're missing out on the fun!" she said as she raised her pistol in both hands and, squeezing an eye shut fired her first ever pistol round at the bullseye ... and missed. She had actually expected the recoil -- which wasn't all that bad. But truth be told, she didn't even know where the bullet had gone. She took aim again, steadying herself this time. She exhaled and in the same moment as if by accident squeezed the trigger. This time she blew off a corner of the bullseye itself. "Better." she said with a almost straight-mouthed smile.

Alex stepped into the area and looked about. It was better to know what kind of area one was in before walking forward. Training or not his thief and marine pride would not let him walk into something blind if he could help it. Alex could see the target Megan was trying to hit. He found it amusing she was having problems hitting a still target. He went to pull out the m9 then recalled leaving it there cause he didn't know how to reload it.

Alex felt something was not right. A target in a training room not moving would be fine it was not on a course. They were not meant to be practicing aim alone were they? Alex choose not to worry about it too much for the time. He had been thinking in a lot more focused manner then he use to. Maybe it was the mission on his mind. Alex took he bow off his shoulder and grabbed an arrow before lining up a shot. "Time to see if I still got it." Alex started to move his tail to help him line the shot. He pulled back on the string with his right hand before taking one last look to try and make sure he had a good line of fire.

The arrow would curve up before losing height unless he pulled back some more. A curved or straight shot a curved would mean it might not pierce that deep. A straight shot would need to account for the drop it would take during flight. It should take 2-3 seconds to hit target there was no need to a count for wind; because of being inside so it should only drop 2 inches if the string is pulled to the limit. He aimed 2 inches higher and steadied his hands. Alex let the arrow fly making it cut through the air before a thump could be heard. The arrow hit its mark dead-center and from the looks of it; the arrow head might have went fully into the target. He might still have it after all but he needed to get that arrow back and double check once he was there.

Megan wasn't too pleased with her own aim, but reasoned that she was much more used to dealing with injuries as opposed to dispensing them. Her precision, and her instinct, was borne of closing wounds and threading them shut. Now it was time to take that concentration, and knowledge, and put it to good use opening people up. But maybe not against an inanimate target. First, she had to get the hang of shooting the non-living.

Then, Alex's arrow thudded into the target almost dead-center and Megan's expression went from intense concentration a kind of resigned annoyance as she stared at him out the corner of her eyes for a moment. "Good shot, good shot." she said to him as she raised her own weapon and fired another round, this time hitting the second circle ringing the bullseye. "Getting closer." she said quietly to herself.

That target flipped back with a whack into the building it was on like a rotating sign and a variety of them began to appear and whack back flat into the buildings they were on, down the street. They came swinging out randomly, some close on the second floor shaped as things from pirates to birds to sorry-looking den den mushi. Other targets on the ground level were painted in a variety of different ways. One thing Megan noticed was that the one that she and Alex had shot did not move again. If her thinking was correct, when they shot a target enough it would stop moving.

They just had to make it down the 'street'. She had three bullets left in her weapon before she actually had to run and find bullets, and, reload the gun. Hopefully she could hit the bullseye or close every time ... she raised her gun at the nearest target swinging her way, a ball-sized happy face whose cheek she put a hole in. "Damn. I can hit it all day, but I can't hit it dead on." she snarled in a non-crazy manner, squinting at her target and putting a hole in its' other cheek.

Seemed like Megan was not too pleased with her own aim. Then again he was more accuracy focused then her. A big smile started to show on his he could show off but she might be mad if he did. There was also the fact that this was just training. He might try it during the pirate base raid that would show some of his skills to the other marines.

Alex picked another arrow and placed it against his bow. He pulled back the arrow with the string and looked at the targets move. Maybe he could take them down in one shot, he wanted to take out as many targets with one arrow a he could. Then it dawned on him he didn't have the strength to make it hit that hard. A scowl formed on his face he over looked how much of a role strength played in the power of a shot.

"How did I overlook the role strength played in combat? Fucking idiot! I have fix this soon or I might be fucked soon into my career." Alex thought to himself. He watched the targets move some more before seeing one of their patterns. It moved from behind the next building up and shot forward before stopping behind a stack of hey. It looked more human then some of the other dummies. Alex moved over to see around the hey. He had to shot around the thing as he stepped into an area that he could hit it when it returned. Before he knew what happened Alex fly through the air and landed against one of the buildings. His head was pounding now, he looked back where he was standing to see another human dummy with a wooden stick. He was hit in the head by a dummy using a 3 inch thick wood stick. He was going to need to remember some of these things could fight back. Alex dropped back on to the floor and was blacking out. "Doctor I'm going to a pain killer." the young fox then blacked out fully.

Megan was in an actual forward firing stance, aim dead on and her exhale slow, arm not moving as she fired her pistol the last time, its last round. It hit the smiley face just about dead center. It was something she'd have been proud of if she hadn't taken so much time and technical effort to do it. As she was firing, Alex was moving into the street she assumed to go the training mission head-on. And just as she'd run out of ammo, too. An uneasy feeling came her way ...

He was hit head-on very soon after this. She watched him get slammed right across the street and into a building not even that far in front of her. "Well, I guess that answers a few questions." she said drily but her humor itself dried up when Alex seemed to have taken a surprising bit of damage from that blow. She cautiously vaulted up and over the little barrier she'd been standing behind then into the street, low below the windows of the buildings and creeping her way towards Alex before putting her palm above his neck. "One painkiller coming up. C'mon, Alex, wake up. I definitely can't go this one alone." she said in some retrospect as she stared down the active, sign-waving (and apparently, brutal) street. Then she turned her full attention back to her patient.

A needle slid out of her metallic palm and into Alex's neck, pumping a full dose of painkiller his way as the pain and damage-nulling effects began to pump through his veins, adrenaline kicking into his heart and brain synapses to get him going again. After a moment, it slid back into her palm as she stayed where she was and watched him carefully to see if he was going to be okay.

Alex felt a slight pinch of pain before it subsided and he felt him self come to. To his surprise it was black he thought he would wake up in a room with lights trying to blind him. He felt he was on the floor so he might still be in the training room. Though why could he not see anything? He felt a bit hazed and started to rub his eyes to his shock they were closed. That was why it seemed so dark when Alex opened his eyes he was not happy.

His eyes felt like they were on fire. He rolled over on his stomach to avoid the lights. It didn't hurt his eyes damn his eye sight. it felt like it was trying to blind him, he pushed him self up on his knees. Looking at the wall he had hit when he stopped. He could see the shadow of the hole he made through the first one. His started to see more clearly. The hazy sight was going and fast though his eyes still felt a bit out of it.

He didn't want to use his good eye sight if he was not able to perform to full effect. He was just hoping he would be back at full power before tonight. The pirates likely use night time as cover to get away without being noticed. Then there would be less pirates to guard the bases. He would have to ask the instructor and then he clear it with his teammate. Now that he thought about it he didn't know her name. He didn't recall it getting said though he could be mistaken. Still just to be on the safe side "Got a question for you; what is your name doc?"

Megan looked on with a growing sense of ease as Alex started moving again and watched him as he began to stir. There were muscles and exhalations, things one did with the throat and shoulders that denoted health as they either awoke or regained consciousness. Alex did them all, and so she was relieved.

She also watched him rolling over as what appeared to be the light caused him to have to turn his head down and cover it. There wasn't much anyone could do about something like that except wait it out. She was there, so he'd have literally given her a shout if something else was seriously wrong. "The amount of lighting here is needed for such a large place ... take your time." she said to him as she waited with him and slowly stood up.

"My name is Megan, and I'm here in fact to qualify for the cipher pol testing they're holding. I'm also going to go reload my gun. Do you want to continue, or do you want to take a little rest before we continue?" she asked him as she wondered whether stocking up on guns or finding a ranged weapon to try was a good idea.

Cipher pol it ringed a few bells but he didn't recall what there job was in the marines. Far as he knew cipher pol was said to be errand running unit for the world government. Though a medic wanting to join them made no sense unless the errands was only a part of it. Alex's right eye twitched the person that told him about the cipher pol back on the island was a pirate wannabe. He recalled the girl looked freaked for a split second when he asked about them. Then her whole faced changed when she told him how they were lower World Government dogs then the marines.

Why would he trust a someone who wanted to be a pirate. Was he really that stupid to overlook the way her face changed. He could have be in some kind of higher placement then he was now. He probably could be learning a lot of cool moves right now. He had fucked up but if the cipher pol were recruiting on this island he had a chance. He needed some information and he needed now!

"I want you to tell me about this cipher pol. Also do you got any food I am hungry. I didn't have anything to eat since I got here..." Alex stomach hungry came back. Though it was to be expected he didn't eat all day. He could really go for at least a few snack to help fight it off. He was going to be in trouble with his stomach if it didn't get the food it wanted. Alex stood up and faced Megan waiting for her to respond.

She was beginning to walk back towards the weapon rack when Alex asked about Cipher Pol -- pretty interested, that was for sure. But, there wasn't much she could even tell him, and either way she was sticking with the truth when she replied.

"Its funny you ask, because I have a couple of little donuts but they're .. medical." she said, her mind actually wandering to the medicinal herbs she had taken once in a pastry her instructor had made. Apparently as one got more skilled as a doctor the more complicated the 'dosages' they doled out became. The ones she'd eaten hadn't tasted very good, but she'd felt like a million beli for almost an entire day.

"Well, my father treated Cipher Pol patients once or twice and had to get medical disclosures off of them. He had the craziest stories about them. And a lot of them died during the last war, apparently. They're recruiting all sorts of people, if any of the recruits pique their interest. And there's other government organizations looking for skilled individuals to fill their ranks at the moment as well. Cipher Pol .. are assassins. I almost forgot!" she said, the realization coming to mind again as she remembered now what their role had been. She gave him a somewhat cynical, coy look. "You the assassin type?" she said as turned and began heading back and towards the weapon rack outside the arena perimeter.
