Her ship bobbing along the sea at a merry pace, the vacation yacht made its way along the seas. Sitting out on the deck of the ship, the wheel held in a statuary position, she allowed the wind to slowly blow along her dark hair. In her hands was a small chest of sorts, its contents baffled the heiress as she studied the odd item that she had purchased merely a day earlier, Her travels had lead her somewhat astray from the Northern Seas, but form what she could tell, she was still able to navigate her why. With a long sigh, she took a moment to relax her face. She had learned long ago that it was of fashion for a princess to smile whilst in the company of others, and she was expected to comply with it, no matter how demanding it may have felt. It was very rare that she was allowed a moment of rest like this and felt a sudden sense of pleasure along with a slight twinge of pain of having her mouth fall to a narrow line. As she took slow breaths, her hand resting atop of her breast, she stared up into the air, at the clouds above. It wasn't until a sudden squawking reached her ears that she noticed that she wasn't alone out at seas. Retreating back to her feet, her legs emerging from the warm, salty waters beneath, she turned to look around, taking a telescope from a box of mariner's tools she had come across along her exploits. Telescope now unfolded and now in hand, she raised the apparatus to gaze upon the wide open seas, trying to catch sight of an island nearby. For why else would a bird call upon her if not for land? From her knowledge, there was nothing of the sorts nearby, was she to stumble upon an as of yet uncharted dominion? Would such an exploit further her studies and vacation of the blues? She felt a surge of hope, her smile returning to her face once more |

A couple days before hand, a light-blue haired woman was arguing with a man with half an afro, half a bald head in a vertical split. She was wearing a stolen marine coat in a weird way, with one arm through the hole while having the other sleeve tied down with the belt. She was arguing on how much information costs on the current rumors on a certain devil fruit. The woman was searching for a certain devil fruit in order to make her life happier, and this arguement lasted many hours until he finally accepted half the given price, and told her the rumored location of the Hormone Hormone fruit. With glee, the woman took the first boat she found and sailed off towards an island called Loguetown. Maybe it was a horrible idea to steal the first boat she found and NOT use the same boat she used to get to her informant's island. All the woman brought onto the sailboat she stole was her six Rediboru (steel combat balls), a nice delicious strawberry parfait, and a bottle of water. The food and water were devoured hours after the woman's departure, and now she was starving and getting quite parched under the blazing sun. Back to the present, and we see the same light-blue haired woman glaring into the ocean, laying over the edge of the boat and face hovering over the ocean water, while her hands were halfway dipped into the blue sea. Genevieve Geronamy was her name, and she was not having the best of times right now. Her stomach has been yelling at her at what felt like an eternity, and there was nothing in sight that she can use to catch fish. She had her stolen marine coat crumpled up in a corner of the small sailboat, and was currently wearing nothing but a black sailor's shirt with red trimmings above the hemmings of the shirt, black pants, and black boots... Yeah, the outfit really did not help with the heat. And she did think of trying to hop into the ocean and swimming around, but there was no real way for her to dry off, which meant risking getting sick when it got to night time. At this rate, she would not even get close to Loguetown before collapsing from the heat, hunger, and thirst. That was when she heard a noise that sounded different. It definitely was not the sound of the dreaded waves she had been listening to for the past couple of days. It was not the sound of fish taunting her by splashing out of the water before retreating back into the watery depths. It was the sound... of another boat! Gene straightens up, whipping her arms out the water as she snaps her head to and fro, looking for the sound of the nearing boat. And, just barely in the distance, she spots what appears to be a yacht!? Wow, Gene really did score with this one, as yachts equal rich people, and rich people equal food and water, and food and water equals no death. Lady Luck was truly smiling upon this woman. Genevieve scrambles and trips over herself, bumping her chin against the side of the boat as she tried to reach for the marine coat she. After rubbing her sore chin, she grabs the the sleeve of the marine coat, and stood tall on the boat, fighting the urge to lie down and do nothing. She starts waving that marine coat left and right, shouting, "HEEEEEEY! OVER HEEEERE! SOS, HEEEEEEELP!" She repeats this multiple times until the members of the yacht finally notice Gene. |

After almost a minute of slow scanning, the dark haired heiress finally locked eyes with the target with the lens of the telescope. Holding her view of a moment, she realised that it was not an island that the bird had been circling, but an extra source of food if the sole survivor of the abandoned ship had met their end along the briny blues. Lowering the telescope, Yoake noble raised her arm to make a response signal to the stranded victim, thoughts entering her head as to what had happened, but caution was nevertheless present within her mind. Having read once about a case where pirates had donned the guises of those who were met with misfortune, they had attacked their supposed saviours before making way with their supplies. Of course, if such an atrocity were to happen, she doubted that the woman that was steadily approaching, would find much of a match against the now trained swordswoman. Her dark eyes flickered towards the sheathed rapier that lay against the entrance of the indoors living area. If things were to go as smoothly as she had hoped, she would not have to draw her blade and instead invite her in. Could this be the good sign she had been longing for? Vessel finally approaching towards the side of the next, she gave a small wave before giving a gracious heave of her chest in an attempt to discreetly clear her voice. It wouldn't do to begin their encounter with a revolting noise. "Ahoy there, straggler," she began gently, allowing the ship to slow down as she turned it away from the wind. "I noticed you along the sea, might offer you some assistance?" she asked, allowing her soft smile to present itself along her lips. "If I may be so to bold as to say that you look as if you aren't in the best of sorts," she tried gently, gesturing for the woman to hop aboard her ship. Edited by Dusk-Hime, Dec 5 2015, 08:40 AM.

Genevieve would have waved til her arms fell off, but the woman was so glad that the person on the yacht waved back in response. To which, she went limp and fell down on her butt, allowing the marine coat to actually cover her back. Then as the yacht got closer, Gene started trying to get her story together, deciding on whether she should claim to be a marine or just an adventurer trying to find a specific devil fruit. Soon enough, the vessel got close enough for the light-blue haired woman to see the full details of the owner of the vessel. She looked like a nice beauty, although it does look like she wore clothes that screamed much about her high-class background. Too pampered for Genevieve's own tastes, but then again that depends on her personality. As Genevieve put on her stolen marine coat in her usual, lopsided fashion; the woman aboard the yacht greeted herself to Gene in a soft, gentle way. To the first portion, Gene waves back at the woman with a toothed-grin. Then she offered assistance to the stranded woman, to which the light-blue haired woman nodded. As Gene climbed into the boat, the woman noted that Gene was not in the best of ways currently. The woman wearing the stolen marine coat chuckles lightly, as she responds with a smile, "Heh, that's the truth and a half. Hadn't had my daily doses of delicious delicacies or delightful drinks over the past couple of days. Reeeeeally do not want to think of what might have happened if you had not arrived." Once Gene had fully climbed onto the boat, two loud DINKS became audible once she landed onto the deck of the boat ass-first, as her legs were half-asleep. Then, a rolling sound could be heard coming from Gene. Then two steel balls roll from the Marine coat that Gene uses to hold her Rediboru. After a small awkward silence, Gene chuckles and says, "Heheh, apologies for that. I am worn out and ready to make a delicious meal to curb this huge hunger of mine, heheh." With that, Gene grabs the steel combat balls and places them within her coat again, and stands up to face the woman who rescued Gene. And, with a grin, Gene says as friendly as possible, "Well, thank you! My name is Genevieve Geronamy, and what is the name of my savior?" |

Fate/Dusk-Hime

The lady whom Yugure had rescued from a fate lost at sea, appeared to be working within the same organisation that had offered itself to provide a detail of guards for the heiress. That was to say, the Marines. As someone who had relatives within the World Government's peace keeping unit, she held some minor influences over members, something which she had only ever used during her first arrival within the blues, having a commander ranked marines serve as her guide within Iron Hollow island. The image of the white haired man flashed within her mind, a small reminder that she would have to meet up with him once again to see how he was and to ask if he were, perchance, a member of the Devil Fruit users. Noticing the poor shape that the marine coat was in, the golden circled eyed swordsman decided not to question what had happened that led to such unfortunate circumstances. Had it been a battle that had gone wrong? had they been left astray by a traitor amongst their ranks? The romantic ideas of heroism along the seas swirled within her mind as she began to recollect the stories and plots of the vast novels she had indulged herself in as she grew up, something which she was somewhat dismayed had proved to be fiction. As the girl hopped aboard, the princess noted the silvery blue hair and the way that it was left, unlike her own hair which was well groomed, hers was unkempt and left a certain chaos within its wake. She drew her gaze towards her dark eyes, the reddish tone to it giving a nature-like feel to it. The woman gave a wild presence to her, something which was made clear as two metal balls rolled free from her cloak. Smile still intact, the Yoake noble raised an eyebrow at the sight. She kept her mouth shut on the subject until the marine retrieved them and pocketed them. Upon the request for her name, Yugure straightened herself out, allowing a little more room between the two so she could bow before the woman, one hand placed over the other as she pressed it towards herself. "My name is Lady Yugure Yoake, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Geronamy-san," she introduced herself in an eloquent fashion, doing her best not to trifle in the affairs of the others name. It wasn't a name she was familiar with and she feared of offending the other lady by means of mispronunciation. Once she finished her self-introduction, she made a few steps towards the living area of the yacht, which was beneath the deck, the entrance of which was a staircase by the rise of the deck of the bow of the boat. "I shall return with some food for you, please, take a seat," she insisted. As she searched through well-stocked cabinets, she plucked bottles of water and a variety of breads and supplements. Unfamiliar with the girls particular interest in foods, she decided to go for the more basic of options, sandwiches. Laying them out in front of Genevieve, she gestured for her to choose what she would like to feast upon. |

Gene watched as the well-mannered woman bowed and introduced herself as LADY Yugure Yoake. This woman was indeed of the high class variety, but the fact that she identifies her class status as a Lady, clearly tells the woman in the stolen marine coat that Yugure is among the highest of high classes. Or at least from what she first perceives her to being. Gene then smiles as she rubs the back of her head with her slender, right hand, saying with a smile, "Please, Geronamy is such a mouthful to say. Just call me Gene, would that be alright Lady Yoake?" Then the woman had practically made Gene sit in a chair, although it was her suggesting to do it and Gene knowing that she had no energy to say no. While waiting, the woman pulled out one of her Rediboru, and started to spin the metal baseball-sized sphere on the tip of her finger. If there was one thing that Gene did not want her body to lose, it was the ability to use these balls to her own will. All the while doing this, she wondered what type of delicacies this woman would have brought out. I mean, rich people ate Filet Mignion, Steamed Lobster, Cheese Souffle, with a side of wine, or champagne, and many other possible fancy delicaci-. What Yugure Yoake brought to Gene, was bread and a variety of meats on a plate along with a glass of water. Genevieve practically deadpanned at this, mainly because her sugar levels were quite low due to being on that boat for the past couple of days. However, Gene did not want to argue just yet, because her stomach groaned in hunger. With a smile, Gene then drinks half of the water bottle, and then ate the entire sandwich in just a minute, and wiped her mouth with a napkin. She stood up to Lady Yoake, and says with a smile, "Will you show me to your kitchen? I want to show you my thanks by making us a nice frosty treat to go on top of the meal you just gave me. And thank you for giving me that sustenance, it was quite filling." Although Gene said that, she had to fight her chef's instinct of saying that it was too normal and too basic for her, but shown no signs of this struggle on her surface. Currently, if this woman had a fantastic kitchen, Gene could make one of her favorite treats. A strawberry parfait, with an orange slice and a waffle-stick going down it... The idea of this nearly made Gene already salivate in anticipation. |

Unsure of how her plan to present the girl with lunch foods had panned out, she decided to divert her eyes from the munching mouth of the girl and waited until she had finished with her meal. The ship had already began to sail away from the ship that Gene had been stranded on. "Gene. I must admit, it is a wonderful name in its simplicity," Yugure nodded as she grew accustomed to shortened version of the Marine's name. She wondered if she should bring up her time within the service as a conversation starter, or possibly her nautical skills. Possibly an interest in carpentry? She appeared to be quite handy with the small metal balls, the dark haired girl hadn't seen anything of the sort and had presumed they were tools of some kind of physical trade. Cocking her head to one side once the girl had finished her meal, Yugure stacking the plates and remains to one side. She began to ponder the request, could her own meal not have been enough. Judging by the expression of the girl, it appeared she was still famished, how could she have been so silly. Of course she hadn't presented her with enough food, who knew how long she had been out stranded on that boat. "I shall gladly escort you to by kitchen, but first-" she hesitated, her eyes drawing to her feet as she began to ponder her own question for a moment. The conundrum that she had been experiencing earlier entered her mind. Should she ask for assistance? This may be the best time, while she is still within a mood that proved her gratitude. "Do you possess skills within the realm of culinary? I lack such a talent and have a... request of something that I picked up along my travels within the Blue seas," she explained, gingerly taking the box she had held earlier from the ground, her thumbs around the latch. |

Gene smiles as the woman gave her the compliment about the simplicity of her name, in the short-hand variety. And that smile grew once she practically said that she would lead Gene into the kitchen in order to cook some delightful treats for the both of them. However, her ears perked when she mentioned a particular catch in doing this. Gene would place her hands on her hip as she stood up from out of her chair, tilting her head as she maintained a constant gaze with the woman. As she wondered what this little stipulation as to leading the stranger into the yacht's kitchen, Yugure had picked up a little box to which she was holding gently. Gene walks over to get a closer look at the chest in Yugure's hands, and says with a sly grin, "Well, I do know my way around a kitchen or two, but I can guarantee you that I don't have any recipes that include making a wooden box taste edible..." Gene then chuckles at her own crappy joke, before shaking her head and then asks with a little more seriousness in her voice, "Jokes aside, what is in the chest that you want me to take a look at, Lady Yoake?" Now that Yugure shown her the chest, curiosity had been probing the silver-blue haired woman's mind. I mean, if Gene already knew what was in the box, then there would not have been a lot of interest in the box whatsoever. But not knowing what was inside the box, and the fact that Yugure seemed a bit lost as to the contents of the chest, made the mystery much more inviting to Genevieve. |

With the chest in her hand, the fine haired lady did her best to resist the urge to blush as she thought of the consequences if such a request were embarrassing. Taking one last, sharp breath, she decided to stick to her resolve in completing her studies of the blues. Placing the wooden box down, she allowed the lid to open up and as her hands slowly took hold of the item, she did her best to raise it, being sure not to damage it as she was still unsure of how precious the item was. In her hands, she held a cup of instant ramen noodles, character belonging to another dialect were scrawled along the sides of the red cup, though many would consider that it was just a part of a large cheap franchise. Yugure Yoake had never seen such a thing before, having only seen it moments before she had purchased it as someone ate a teaming meal from it. The cheap junk food felt cold, which made her question as to how it would release steam. Was there an abundance of chemicals within the meal that she was unfamiliar of? How was it that such an odd food never reached the Grand Line? As she extended her arms, the ramen noodle cup cusped within both of her hands, she would allow Gene to take it from her. Rays of light from the sun shone against the slightly crinkled plastic covering of the meal. It was still completely sealed, an anomaly that Yugure dared not to open without proper caution and care, as she worried that she would damage what it held within itself. |

To Gene's surprise and disappointment, the surprise in the box was not a rare ingredient or anything... It was a very basic, cheap, store-brand version of instant ramen noodles. It took everything out of Gene to keep herself from looking or sounding like she was about to burst into laughter, because this sounded so stereotypical. I mean, this woman who had everything served to her on a silver platter did not know how to make instant ramen. It could have been worse, I mean if the woman needed help making a Botino's Pizza or a cup of Instant Coffee. Clearing her through, Gene smiled as she says, "Well, that my good friend is Instant noodles. And it's something that everyone in the blues would be able to make if you shown them. Plus, I think the guy who sold you that ripped you off, because usually they would have instructions on them. And from what I see, there is no instructions. But no need to fear, for I have made instant noodles before... once..." She trailed off at the end of that sentence, mainly because it hurt her to admit that she has made instant noodles, and only once for that matter. It was the instant that she ate a cup of instant noodles, when she decided to become a lover of delcious treats and started learning how to make them. I mean, the cup that she ate quickly came back up, as it was the worst piece of sugar honey iced tea that she has ever dared to put in her mouth. After pausing for a brief couple of seconds, Gene raises and eyebrow and looks at Lady Yoake, before saying, "Are you sure that you want me to make you a cup of this? I mean, instant noodles are not the most delicious of things on these seas..." Although Gene did say this, she would be willing to make her new friend the cup of instant noodles. I mean, everyone should have a chance to eat everything once. |

Much to the Yoake heiress' pleasure, it appeared that the bedraggled survivor did not laugh her, which gave her the idea that the question wasn't completely out of the norm. She gave an internal sigh of relief at this knowledge, she was glad that she didn't appear to be a dunce towards others, such an event would cause an unparrallel amount of grief to her mind as she had decided long ago that she yearned to be a diplomat, a voice for the people. How could she voice the concerns and compose great speeches of strife if she hadn't the faintest clue of how those people operated. It was a move that was not recommend by many of her own, but she felt that it was best to walk among the common man and to take part in their own rituals. Instant noodles. What a startling name, was it that she had to press some sort of button and the dish would create itself? That would explain why steam had arisen from the pot that she had witnessed, but why was it instant? How could seal a ready cooked meal in such a small device. For even a small portion of steak, one needed to attain a cow of sort, and only then, not every bit of it was used. A finger raised towards her cheek as she stopped got a moment "Instant Noodles. How simply... marvelous," she murmured to herself in disbelief, a slight shake to her head. She stepped aside to watch, indicating for Gene to continue on with her explanation. Instead of beginning her tutorial though, Yugure was shocked to find that the woman dared doubt her judgement! "Gene, I am quite sure. I have had some of the family chef's less savoury meals beforehand," she explained, raising a hand as a gesture. She didn't realise what it was she was getting herself into. "It is my desire to dine on the cuisine of those from the Blues, if you teach me how to create this food, then I shall allow you free roam over my kitchen, as will I take you wherever it is you wish to travel towards. Clearly, I have no problem when it comes to affording any sort of request you may have," she finally explained, indicating towards the simple, yet extravagant yacht she owned. Owning a yacht in itself was a display of wealth of some kind. |

Although Gene somehow knew the answer that Lady Yugure might give, she was admittedly a tad surprised at how determined she was in eating a cup of instant ramen noodles. This only made her only ponder the idea of what would happen if she mentioned that instant coffee also existed... But that would seem a tad mean and very harrowing for Gene, as the woman would ask for this to be bought and have someone else make it for her as well. Then the lady mentioned that Gene could have access to anything she pleased in the kitchen. But the cherry on top of everything was that Yugure would even ferry Genevieve to her destination via her yacht. At this point, Gene decided to completely swallow her chefs pride and make a cup of instant noodles. She looks into Yugure's eyes, and with eyes that had a tinge of innocent greed in them, "Well, if that is what you wish. I will make you a cup of the instant ramen noodles." After saying so, she walked into the kitchen, and oh boy was it like walking into what dreams are made of. The kitchen looked spic and span, having all the appliances a chef could ever ask for, and a wide array of tools... All of them to not be used as she makes a cup... Of instant... noodles... It was really hurting Gene's own pride as a chef to avoid using the conventional chef tools. Gene then heads over to the sink faucet and pulls on the hot handle. While allowing the water to heat up, Gene opens the top of the Instant ramen, noting that the chicken flavored seasoning was already sprinkled over the dry noodles. She then pulls open a drawer, and grabbing the first fork that she could find. She then dipped a finger underneath the running water, finding it to be quite hot. She then fills the cup of instant noodles, until it is about a centimeter above the top-most noodle layer. She then starts mixing the noodles in the cup using the fork, mixing the seasoning with the noodles and hot water. |

To her utmost delight, it appeared that the straggler had finally agreed to assist her in her exploits along the blue seas, it seemed like a marvellous adventure that they were about to undertake and she was absolutely elated by the fact that she was finally going to try the mysterious instant noodles. Following the young lady into the kitchen, she found that she couldn't help herself but to keep her body close behind Gene's own, watching from behind the woman's shoulder. Her breath would at times flare as her chest rose, but if the other woman were to turn around, Yugure would reflexively have herself moved back a meter, using the full extent of her own speed. It appeared that the girl's talent within the kitchen had been no joke as she expertly moved about. Of course, Yugure had no idea how to do so herself and presumed that someone who knew how to put on a cooker without getting a blast of gas to her face was a master at the culinary arts. Water boiling, she was amazed at the act, the girl had even removed the cling film cover, did her knowledge know no bounds? The Yoake heiress had no idea that film had only been some sort of buffer between her and the meal, though to her discontent, it seemed that steam did not arrive as the cover was removed, instead, the scent of chicken wafted through the kitchen. What an amazing turn of events, the dark haired lady would have never thought that such a thing was possible. How were those from the Blues able to extract the essence of chicken and mix it with... dried noodles? "This is quite extraordinary," Yugure nodded, raising her hand in a gentle manner. "From what I had read, noodles were created through wheat flour, I hadn't the faintest notion that it was possible for it to appear in a dried up form. This is truly a fascinating discovery!" she exclaimed, clasping her hands together, spinning slowly on the back of her heel. All at once, the experience was over as she watched as hot water was poured into the mixture, a fork was swirled within it and passed over towards it. she took a seat, placing the dish in front of her. It held a strong scent, taking over any of her other senses, a plume of steam bellowed form its interior and she softly shook her head. This was it, the moment of truth. She whisked the fork gently inside the cup before rotating it, picking up strands of noodles and wrapping them around the prongs of her fork. Pursing her lips, the princess blew at the steam, trying to cool it down so as to prevent her throat from being scorched. As she took a bite of the new found delicacy, she decided to suck it all off of the metal, her eyes closed to take in the flavour, giving it a few chews before taking that final gulp to complete the process. "This..." she said gently, turning her eyes towards Gene. "Is positively revolting. How marvellous!" she announced, her eyes bright with delight as she went for another forkful of the meal. Yugure could tell that the awful concoction was going to turn her stomach over, but she couldn't help but indulge herself in the delightfully disgusting treat! |
