Hello everyone, I'm Acacia Blackbourne here with an exclusive story! The ongoing conflict in Candyland has finally drawn to a conclusion, though it's unclear which side ultimately emerged victorious. As you may recall, the events started up when Leon Columbus and Isshin Kiru attacked the Marine Base on Candyland, slaughtering the entire force of Marines present. We have little information for the motives on this, but the Marines retaliated by attacking the island.

I'd like to examine the behaviour of the local populace. They are currently beginning the efforts to rebuild and we're wishing them the best of luck in that regard, however it's fair to say that the World Government and Candyland will not be on the best of terms for a while. Many of the local populace are dead, all due credit goes to both Leon Columbus and the choice of former Rear Admiral Cain. Many of the survivors have provided accounts of Leon spurring them into fighting not only for Candyland to defend it, but also to fight for the Dark Tide itself. Is this really a Revolutionary before us, or simply a master manipulator who has his own goals? Only time can tell us, but all eyes are on the lookout for any members or associates of the Dark Tide.

Many are condemning the actions of the Marine forces under the control of former Rear Admiral Cain. They are calling for answers from the World Government based on how Cain had handled the situation. The siege of Candyland reminded many of the people exactly what a Buster Call looks like, but whether one was issued or not remains to be seen. What is clear is that from the onset of the siege is that Rear Admiral Cain did not seem to have an interest in allowing surrender to occur or even entertaining the idea, given the state the island had grown to be in.

Finally, the revolutionary known as Ms. Frog graced Candyland with her presence. Her well-timed arrival saw the destruction of several Marine vessels, along with what was the retreat of the remaining Marine forces in Candyland. Many are praising Ms. Frog's actions for ultimately bringing about the end of the destruction. Further praise is brought upon her due to how she offered travel with her ship.

However, with substantial evidence placing the blame of an explosion which had struck the town on the Dark Tide, many are unsure as to how they feel about the revolutionary cause. There is a divide in who is right and who is wrong, and we stay close to the story to see exactly how it will unfold.

As it is, these are the following new issued set of bounties for the individuals involved in the war;

Leon - :beli: 200,000,000
Isshin Kiru - :beli: 160,000,000 - member of Dark Tide
Ms. Frog - :beli: 150,000,000
Kai - :beli: 72,000,000 - beating a Lieutenant, leading ground forces in attack on marines, member of Dark Tide.
Rango - :beli: 39,000,000 - severely wounding a commodore from behind, member of Dark Tide.

We encourage you to report sightings of them, but do not engage unless you are well-equipped and prepared for it. I'm Acacia Blackbourne, and this has been another address to everyone out there. Whether you agree with the actions of the Marines or the Dark Tide, or maybe you're in the middle just remember that information is always the most important thing out there!

Attention all those who pay us attention!
The News Coo now has it's own sub-forum where you can read up on current events going across the site IC. Various staff will occasionally, with their own News Coo reporter handle telling a story, talking about recent pirate or marine activity, etc from there instead of here. As such this topic will be archived within 24-72 hours.
