Karate Island always had a magnificent vibe about it, as the presence of so many dojo's as well as hot blooded people just itching to challenge one to a fight, there's not much else that is quite so entertaining. It's probably why Ashara chose this place for her little leisurely retreat, since it wasn't apart of the blues she was supposed to be looking after, and she could get away with having as much fun as she could. Here, while she was off duty and dressed to impress, the worries and threats of pirates and other troublemakers were hardly on her mind, as she was merely here to relax and hopefully have a good time. Her choice of venue was a pretty quaint looking bar that housed all sorts of people, but generally had a good atmosphere about it. The woman was nursing her third Malibu and Cola rum mix as she relaxed, finding it rather amusing that the restaurant just opposite this place looked like a hurricane had hit it, something made even more amusing when it's name was called 'The Gentle Storm'. With her mind slowly becoming buzzed and aflutter, the woman looked around to take note of the various groups of people, all doing their own thing, some of which were gambling, while the others were recalling raunchy tales that she could care less about. She had gotten more than a few gawks and stares, but none so far had attempted to talk to her, most likely because they were too intimidated to attempt it, what a bunch of losers. "Man, how boring~ I wish there was someone out there that wasn't a coward", She complained, resting her face in her palm as she looked on in dismay. |

Dillon lightened up as the alcohol took its course to finally get the monster of a man at least to a point of enjoying the effects of such a drink. He tilted his hat back and loosened his gloves up at the wrist, with a pursed lip, he leaned back in his chair following this motion and stared at the woman. He pinpointed a certain underbelly to this woman that was uncomfortable, but honest in her resounding confidence and strange request. His face went nonchalant, back to its usual poker-like demeanor as he looked at the wall of glasses and liquors in front of him. "Three favors means a lot Miss Ackerman. There have been men in this world who would kill for but one blood oath." He said noticing the almost grim facial features she was producing. He turned in his chair and leaned up against the bar looking towards the door. He pondered his options, closing his eyes to think intently on the matter at hand. Having his house, means he could ironically get around the ocean much more efficiently than he could not having the house. The family would inadvertently be placed at least within the vicinity of these problems, but he had both confidence and undying resolve in the strength of those around him, as well as the strength of his vengeance were someone to harm those he loved. The grin meant little to him, for what she had planned could not be more than the extreme of collecting a debt. It wouldn't of been the first time he had to end a mans suffering... "Keep the kids out of it and you have a deal Miss Ackerman, but if those favors turn around and bring death and destruction upon the name Austins, the deal is off, as will be the hopes of repayment." He said confidently, telling her his terms. He was very well off on his thoughts, and comfortable with the fact that this "bank" lady would probably end up calling him to murder another man of God, but that was neither here nor there, such a sensible lady, he would put his trust in her as to not sully the heart of gold he had tried so hard to preserve. Dillon looked her fiercely in the eyes and extended his right hand. The emptiness behind his eyes as dark as the mines hes slaved away in for 40 years. "Three favors Miss Ackerman. For 100,000,000 Beli. Tit for tat, scratched backs." He rhymed along closing his eyes with a smile of his own. One of pure honesty and trust. He was finally going to have the necessary funds to give all of them the house they deserved... Lancia. Dragoon... JaRook... Eleanor too! And more. He could feel the family tree growing every day, and everyone of them deserved the best house he could ever hope to buy. |

The woman wasn't even sure which side of her was in charge now, the alcoholic side that wished to see how things played out, or the demon that simply enjoyed watching men squirm, and squirm he did, completely appearing to be uncomfortable with whatever vague request her three favours might have entailed, though, knowing Ashara, he would probably just use him for menial things, mostly out of the goodness of her heart, though one could never tell when a favour would truly be necessary. "Then I consider myself a very lucky woman to get three out of you", she spoke rather cheekily, smiling all the while. It may have been her loss of focus when he first came in, but she never truly realized how large the man was until he tilted in his chair, having only really seen him arch his back and lean against the table before now. She had a rough guess of how tall he was, and that guess was pretty ridiculous in itself -- perhaps she could really use him? With a power and build like that, she did wonder just who this man was, but fortunately, she wasn't really the sort to care about dealing with bandits or pirates or even revolutionaries, so long as they weren't hurting anybody that is. "Kids? Oh please, I would never bring children into this, I have my honour too, you know -- You can rest assured, whatever I may ask, it'll be for you and you alone, so I do recommend not telling your sweeties about our possible encounters, if you can help it", She let out, taking another sip of her drink before returning to that cold facade she had going on, though there was merit to what she was saying, as the less involved the better. Once it seemed like his conditions were laid bare, the woman let out a calm smile before extending her hand, clasping it with the mans firm, giant one as she looked him the eyes, noticing the deathly stare he had going on. "It's a deal, oh and do lighten up, it's not like you sold your soul to the devil or anything, it's simply as you say -- Tit for tat", she spoke, giggling more at that last part before pulling away to retrieve her check book. "You need not worry about how you'll be contacted, the banks influence spreads far and wide, I'll find you if I need you~", She spoke softly, before scribbling down her details on the check. "How do I spell your name?" |

Dillon smiled and turned himself around to face the bar once more, he would definitely not bother his kids with this little endeavor as that would just worry them. He was sure the lady before him had both of their interests best in hand, and would use the three favors to her best extent. He smiled and replied to her finding him comment. "It's not like I'm going to be hiding." Dillon said with a smile. "The name is D I L L O N A U S T I N S" Dillon said chocking the last letter of his last name being omitted from most of her conversation as a terrible fate of grammar befalling that last names origin. "I go by Uncle Austins to most though, but Dillon Austins is what's on the birth certificate." He said with a smile. He had little idea who this woman was but she clearly had access to the necessary funds, and he had no problem with anyone in this world so he surely wouldn't question it too hard. He went ahead and ruffled through his pockets for a small wad of money that was akin to his entire life savings, and pulled out a few beli for the bill. "Consider the drinks on me at least." Dillon said with a smile. Getting a check cashed surely was going to be weird for him pulling such a large sum of money out, but he was sure he could manage that terrible affair of waiting in line. "I've seen the devil Miss Ackerman, and it's not you I promise." Dillon said handing the bartender the money for the check, as well as throwing a few more down if she wanted to have more drinks. "No woman who would go so far as to help a struggling family could have the devil commanding their heart." He said with a soft smile, awaiting the check so he could inform his family that the next island would be the destination they build their home to travel the seas! |

The thought of a deal well struck seemed to have brought the man into a rather cheerful mood, smiling far more than usual as he gave the beautiful woman a firm yet energetic hand shake to bind them to their agreement. The woman let out an impressed smile as it seemed he was finally in the mood to tease, chuckling a little over his hiding comment. "I should hope not, it's rude to hide from a lady", she spoke, muffling a giggle as she went back to her drink. After quenching her thirst, she spelt his name as he said it out, feeling a little embarrassed that she had his name wrong this whole time, though she wanted to accredit it to the alcohol, since this bizarre deal would be accredited to that as well. "I do beg your pardon, Mr. Austins, and I must thank you for paying for my drinks, you certainly know how to treat a lady, despite what you say", she teased, holding her glass in a toast before sliding her check towards the man after jotting down her signature, since that was the most important part. The man did have a generous side to him after all, and that really cemented her impression that she was doing a good thing, though she did sort of want to see the expression on his children's faces, boy were they going to be happy. After handing the man the check and watching him leave, the woman enjoyed a long sip of her latest drink, while recalling what the man had said about her not being a devil, making her giggle just a little more. "I'm not the devil, he says. What a way with words that man has", she sighed, staring at the ceiling as she let her drunken nature take over, wondering if she was actually going to be going home alone tonight. [END] |
