Darius sat on the main topsail of some random ship that he snuck on. A jolly roger flew at the top of the main mast. However, Darius simply kicked his legs in the air. He looked out into the vast blue sea. He could see several miles from this height. "Man... you can really see everything from here," Darius said to himself. "I gotta get a bigger boat as soon as possible. I really need a crow's nest." Meanwhile, down below there were men surrounding the main mast. They started to look up the pole as they could see some young man sitting on their ship and they had no idea who he was. "Who the fuck is that?" "I don't know." "Did you see him get on our ship?" "What is he doing here?" They all murmured amongst themselves. One of them turned to the other. "Go get the Captain," he said. However, the murmuring got to a point to where even Darius could here it now. He looked down from his high throne. He saw everyone gathering below. He smiled, waving his hand. "Oh Hey Strangers! You got a nice view!" Darius said happily. "Who the fuck is this guy?" They said amongst themselves. One of them turned back to Darius to respond to him. "Where did you come from? How did you get on our boat?" He asked. "Oh, I found it while sailing. I just tied my dingy to the side of your boat and climbed aboard... I noticed how tall your mast was and I wanted to see the view," Darius explained. "Needed to get the layout of the sea. Can't read a map worth shit." "This guy must be stupid," Some muttered to themselves. "I see... will you come down and talk to us from down here, face to face?" the One asked. Darius scratched his head, looking a little disappointed. "I guess... but it's so nice up here. The view, the breeze, the-..." Darius said. "Please, just get down!" He said. Darius did as the man asked, moving over to the mast and grabbing onto it before sliding down. Once down, he would dust off his pants and turn to the man. He smiled wide. "Yo!" They all just sort of stared at him blankly. And not too shortly after that, someone would come up from behind him and whack him across the head with a metal pan. He stood there for a moment before falling face first to the deck, knocked out. "And that's how I got here," Darius explained to an older man chained to a wall in a dimly lit cell. Darius was shackled to the wall as well. "I-I see," the older man said. Darius smiled gleefully, blissfully ignorant of his position right now. "And you wanna be the Pirate Captain?" The older man asked. "Yup!" Darius replied with his smile. The older man bursted into a fit of laughter. He was eventually joined by several other laughters coming from a few other cells. Darius' smile faded quickly as he saw their mockery and laughter. A man came walking down the stairwell. In fact, it was the man who spoke to Darius on the deck a day ago. He came walking in banging on the cell bars. Everyone hushed their laughter, growing depressingly quiet. "Ey' Now! Quiet down! You're our slaves! Not sorority sisters!" He yelled. "Your dinner is gonna be served shortly, but if you keep belly aching, you might have to forgo a meal for a night. Got it?!" "Aye," everyone said depressingly including Darius. |

Darius watched as the woman walked over and grabbed the keys from Wilson's pocket for him. She unlocked all the slaves from their shackles and the doors to their cells. They all sort of rubbed their wrists and stretched their legs while the woman told them about the crew left upstairs. Most of the other slaves stumbled around getting used to walking before picking up stray pieces of the ship, like wooden boards, or some other sort of make-shift weapon. The slaves would rush up to the deck to get rid of the remaining crew. After stretching himself, Darius looked around for Paul and the older man. He was hoping to talk to them about their plan to use his boat to sail off of this boat. He actually wanted to ask them to join his crew especially since the woman before him sort of rejected his offer. However, as Darius looked around, they were gone; the only people left in the cells were him, the woman, and the slave from before. He scratched his head before turning to the other two as they started talking about some sort of slave auction. "Well... they sure cleared out fast," Sounds of mayhem leaked from the deck. Darius glanced up at the ceiling above, listening to the sounds of a fight with the crew. He looked back down at the others, trying to block it out. "So, anyway... infiltrating a slave auction sounds fun! I'm down to have some fun!" Darius said. "And hey, we can take my boat... it'll almost be like... we're a crew," he added with a smile. "However, I need to find my stuff first. They took my shit when they sucker punched me and threw me in here," Darius said. "Man, my G-Pa would be pissed if I told him that I lost his 'legendary' sword... even though, it's a rusty pile of shit." He chuckled. "So, I'll see you guys by my boat. It should be on the left hand side of the deck, hanging off the railing," Darius explained. "I'll meet you there with my stuff and then we can all go to that slave auction." Darius put his hand in the middle of all three of them real quickly. "And break!" he said, throwing his hand into the air before running off up to the deck to the Slavemaster's storage to find his gear. |

Eventually, Mizuki realized that, after liberating everybody, the majority of the slaves that were previously chained up in their cells had simply left and went on deck to take care of the men upstairs. They had done so even before she had actually warned them of the men's presence. Though it was a bit disappointing to not have been heard, she simply concluded that it had been a while since the men were first chained here, and so they must have contemplated the vision of taking revenge on those whom persecuted them with glee all this time. Now was their (maybe only) chance to do so, and so they went and did exactly what they had all wanted all this time. The tanned woman had no real idea of the men really wanted to follow her towards the island where they were supposed to be auctioned. Hell, she had no idea if they truly wanted to liberate the other slaves that would be held there. At best, they are probably going to steal this ship and live a free life. At worst... they are going to capture the men that once beat them and make them their own slaves. Either way, it was their problem to deal with now. Truthfully, though, it would be quite funny to hear the second possibility suddenly unfold before her very eyes. It would serve the lot of those slave masters right. In the end, she would turn towards the remaining men that stood with her. One had a lot of tattoos printed all over his body, while the other was Darius. She was not really surprised to see that the latter had stood given his thankful behaviour in her regards, but she had no real idea who this first person could be. She had not noticed him before and Wilson hadn't given him any particular interest when he had tried to show his slaves to her. It made her genuinely curious of his presence. Once he opened his mouth, however, she listened to him with interest, hearing him out on what he wanted to say. Apparently, he had already gone to one or two of these auctions, having been in the slave business before ending up a slave himself, which was pretty ironic, given her previous theory on how the slaves would treat their masters here. He also mentioned that there might be a lot of slave masters over there, with maybe even one or two from the Grand Line. However, despite saying that she was probably going to have a hard time over there, he didn't seem to be against this idea. In fact, given he wanted to definitely retire himself from the business, he thought of it as the perfect chance to do so. As for Darius, he too was in favour for it, though it was more in Mizuki's own lines than anything else, adding that they could take his boat and almost feel like some sort of crew. Seeing as Darius self-proclaimed himself as a Pirate Captain, Mizuki probably thought of it as the young man wanting to form a crew of his own. However excited he was about the prospect of it all, though, he definitely did have the mentality to lead a team correctly. He was too childish and too easy to impress. That's not to say he is an unlikable person, but, as a leader, he would leave a bad impression. Eventually, the young man left with the most childish of sorties, like he was apart of some sorts of sports team. While he ran upstairs to search for his sword and reach his boat, Mizuki would simply look at him go, then smile, crossing her arms. She would then chuckle and gesture for Reo to follow her towards the stairs as she asked: "Has he always been like this? He sure is an interesting person, this Darius." |

"Haven't known the kid for long, but he wants to be the Pirate King" Reo replied, chuckling a little as he followed the woman. "He's gonna get himself killed with a dream like that." Reo looked up as the ruckus outside on the ship seemed to get louder. Perhaps the slavers were starting to fight back? Or maybe the slaves were getting the upper hand and the slavers were screaming for mercy. Reo honestly couldn't tell. "Never thought of myself as a pirate though. Always saw myself as more of a mercenary type, just getting money where I could and making sure no one bothered me. Though I guess when everyone calls you 'Daemon' you become destined for that sort of thing." Reo mused, thinking over what Darius had said. "If he's alone, he's gonna get himself killed. Though...an adventure wouldn't exactly be a bad time, better than peddling slaves for a living at the very least." Reo laughed at the idea, anything would be better than slaving and mercenary work. Everyone always thinks it's crazy and unpredictable, but really unless you have a bounty hunter on your tail it's the same thing every day. Protect someone on some island, sell a few people, kill a guy, eat and sleep and repeat. It gets to a man after a while, especially when you didn't even think that's what you'd be doing with your life. "But I'm just thinking out loud," Reo said, turning to the woman again. "By the way, I don't even know your name do I? I'm Daemon." Reo offered his hand for her to shake. |

Darius rushed up to the deck to find the storage where they kept all of the slaves' things from when they were first captured. He came up to the scene of a large fight between slave and master. The slaves appeared to be winning as the crew was overpowered. There were a lot of unconscious slavers lying around; a few of the stronger ones still up fighting against the mutiny. Darius had the urge to jump in and throw a punch at some of the slavers, but he wasn't nearly as good as throwing punches as he was with a sword and pistol. Instead, Darius snuck around the battlefield on the deck to the nearest cabin door. He entered into the dining room which led to an assortment of more doors. Anyone of them could be the storage. However, it was just his luck that everyone was outside fighting, so the inside of the upper part of the boat was deserted. "Where to start?" Darius asked himself. His instincts told him to go to the farthest door to his right. He ran to it, opening it to find a stair well that led downstairs again. Deciding to follow this door further, he ran down the stairs and to another door. He quickly opened it, popping his head into a lit room. He looked around. He found the woman from before and the other slave still chatting down in the cells. This was just another stairwell that led to the cell room. "Well... this is awkward," Darius said. He shut the door quickly before running back upstairs to the dining room to try the other two doors. Luckily for him, the last door on the left was the room he was looking for. Sticking his head inside the dimly lit room, he saw the shine of weaponry and bags. He quickly slammed open the door to run in and search for his stuff. However, the loud noise of his slam woke up the guard of the room. A large bumbling idiot looking man stood up from his chair, rubbing his eyes. "Who wakey Tommy?" Tommy the Idiot said. Starting to dig into the pile of collected goods, realizing the other slaves had some good shit as well, Darius turned around to see the large man waking up. His jar dropped to the floor. Of course, there is a guard, Darius thought. Darius smiled. "Hi," He said simply. Tommy tilted his head before getting visually angry. "YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE! MASTER WILLY WILL BE VERY ANGRY IF YOU'RE HERE!" Tommy said enraged. Tommy thrusted his arm back and threw a haymaker at Darius, a surprising attack for the young man since he was considering diplomatically putting the idiot down. His eyes wide with fear. "Wait! Fuck! This is gonna hurt!" Darius said. He was grabbed the bicep of the idiot's arm, being thrusted through the wall and taking some of the stuff in the pile along with him due to Tommy's forceful thrust. "GET! OUT!" Tommy shouted in a blood curdling scream. This guy was probably mentally unstable and a little bit retarded. Darius piled through the wooden wall and landed in the dining room. Tommy stood in the other room, walking closer to the broken wall to climb through to pummel Darius some more. Darius checked his ribs and his body for any substantial wounds, only to find a few cuts and bruises. He winced at the pain. "Not bad... could have been way worse... but I still need my-" Darius started to say before looking down at his lap to find his gun and swords sitting there nicely. "-WEAPONS!" Darius shouted happily. "They must have been blown out of the pile with that idiot's thrust!" He thought aloud. "Now I can really fight!" Darius said. "I AM NOT AN IDIOT!" Tommy shouted, stepping through the hole in the wall. Darius looked up at the bulky man-child, swallowing. This was really going to hurt. His first fight as a seafaring pirate. |

"Hm... Pirate King, huh...?" Mizuki would let out with a hand on her chin after Reo told her of Darius' wish to acquire such a title, also commenting on it by saying that the young man will kill himself with such a dream. Now, the tanned woman had no real objections to his words: she knew fully well all of the risks that followed such a dream. The rivals, the public's opinion on your whole totality of actions, the Bounty Hunters and the Marines that will ever-so-follow you towards the ends of the oceans themselves, the violence that will then ensue... There were lots of risks for sure. But she once heard, in a Wanoite legend, the tale of a young monkey who followed his dreams and shared it with other animals that he considered to be his true family. It was back in the day, when she was still a child. It was one of her most favourite tales... yet, for some reason, her mother never truly enjoyed telling it out loud. The only way the kid had ever been able to know about it was to learn how to read. In fact, that story alone was one of the very reasons why she learned how to read at such a young age. They were at least countless of these books and they all shared a different story, but a much bigger path that tied them all together. In the end, at the very last chapter of the final book, the monkey became Pirate King, and he and his family became living legends. They had become so strong in combat, no men nor women could beat them... not even the vilest of animals. Today, this story is nothing more than a petty piece of the past. She knew what it talked about and referenced. The tale of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hats was truly one of true grandiosity, but it is now nothing more than a forgotten legend. However, that did not mean that the dream of becoming a Pirate King and living through such amazing adventures had truly died just yet. If anything, that was where she could truly learn the definition of fun. "It is, though, a commendable dream. I would not mind sharing it at all." She would cross her arms with a soft smile on her face while she spoke to Reo, her eyes closed. "It is indeed dangerous to try and become such a thing, but I believe that what he wants to become isn't necessarily tied to the finality of it all, but the journey towards it. Sure, you would be considered the grandest of criminals to ever live... but, if that journey can bring your wildest dreams to reality, then why not try?" She then smiled at Reo as he mentioned that an adventure wouldn't be such a bad thing to do, turning herself towards him in the process as she agreed with him: "Why yes. Anything is better than slave and mercenary work, don't you think?" Mizuki chuckled, then simply smirked once Reo asked her name, presenting himself as "Daemon". Crossing her arms, she would do the same: "My name is Mizuki. Makkunouchi Mizuki. I am the Eighth Child of the Makkunouchi Dynasty of the Wano Country. Well, that was before I decided that being of royal descent was pretty awful. Nowadays, that title is, well, pretty irrelevant. Now come, let us move before this ship is turned to shreds." She lightly chuckled, then turned herself towards the doors towards the docks upstairs, hearing the chaos of the still-ongoing fight. She was surprised to hear the slavers having such difficulty, though, given the ease she had taking out the worthless Golden-Eye, perhaps it shouldn't be much of a shock to her. Heading towards the door, she would stop the moment Darius appeared once more, with her eyes simply blinking as she stared at him. "Why hello again." She told him before the young man then left the both of them once more, heading towards another area of the ship in order to get his weapons back. Eventually, anyways, both she and Reo would be on deck as the slavers still fought against their former slaves. It really seemed like the slavers had the definitive advantage over the lot of them due to their numbers. Putting her hands on her wide hips, Mizuki would stare at this battlefield while whistling, then looked around. "Hm... I would have thought Darius would have been here. As he not recovered his weapon yet?" |

"Never heard of a dream where the journey was the destination..." Reo mused, but shrugged at the idea. He wasn't exactly the prime example of normal, so why should he limit himself? At least for the time being. "Wait, did you say Wano?" Reo asked when Mizuki introduced herself. "What is a royal from Wano doing here? I've made the trip before, it ain't easy." Reo remembered his time in Wano fondly, though it had been cut short. His mentor Masakuni knew that Wano's isolation would hide them from the bounty hunters chasing them, so they hid there for about two months. A young samurai by the name of Jizo had gave them shelter, and in return they helped him win the favor of his clan. The Kshitigarbha elder had allowed Jizo to save his honor by traveling the seas, and when bounty hunters finally found them Jizo helped them escape using his ship. They parted ways at Reverse Mountain, but Reo always thought of him from time to time. His memories of Wano were cut short as Darius popped up in front of them only to disappear back to the chaos outside. Coming onto the deck, Mizuki and Reo saw the carnage as the slaves were quickly overpowering their former masters. A fitting punishment...though not one Reo would want to suffer anytime soon. Before he could ask, Mizuki took the words right out of his mouth and asked where Darius was. "I have no idea, though honestly this is the same kid who got on a slave ship for fun. He's either totally lost trying to find them...or trouble found him before he found his weapons." Reo mused, scanning the area to see if he could see Darius among the chaos. Suddenly Reo heard someone scream "I'M NOT AN IDIOT!" and a crash from one of the ship's rooms. "If I was a betting man, I'd say he's wherever that crashing sound is coming from." Reo said dryly. |

Darius cracked his neck before cracking a devilish smile. His teeth showed excitement as things were only about to heat up. He quickly took off towards Tommy the Idiot, brandishing his weapons. He aimed his pistol slightly off from Tommy, firing a blank. As predicted the blank would confuse and annoy Tommy, he covered his ears and screamed in annoyance from the loud noise. He clearly had some mental problems and it made Darius feel bad what he was about to do. However, this lug wasn't going to stop chasing him even if he ran away. Darius shifted to his right, running towards Tommy's arm. Using his sword, he drew it from it's sheath and made a rugged, dirty cut up his arm before coming down with a nice clean cut across the first cut. Tommy stumbled back, removing his hands from his ears to grasp his wounded arm. "GGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!" Tommy shouted with a blood curdling scream. "THAT HURT, YOU BIG MEANIE!!" Tommy went to swing his unwounded arm at Darius again. Darius quickly used his gun again, shooting a blank into the air above him. The sound caused Tommy to stop and cover his ears again, screaming. "STOOOOOP IT!! MY EARS HURT!!" Tommy said loudly. One of the slavers out on the deck finished cutting up one of the former slaves as they fell to the deck. They were bleeding pretty profusely, but the slaver showed no remorse. He knew that they had to be punished for such mutiny. However, the slaver turned his head to the entrance of the dining room as he heard a loud blood curdling scream. He looked back around to another slaver. "Hey! Is that Tommy?" "Yea, I think so." "Should we check up on him?" "Possibly, if he is screaming that much... it'd make sense if a slave went to retrieve their stuff." The slaver left his spot on the deck to walk towards the dining room, brandishing his two pistols instead of his blade. His name was 'Two-Time-Slinger' Daverick, wanted for 5,000,000 beli. He ended up approaching the two new friends of Darius before reaching the door as they unintentionally stood in his way of dealing with the hoodlum fighting Tommy. With a cigar in his mouth, he stared at the two of them with the equivalent shits of zero. "Move," he said. Darius quickly went around to Tommy's arm. He positioned his sword to throw it for another hack and slash on Tommy's right arm. However, before being able to make contact with his skin, Tommy looked down amidst being distracted and saw Darius preparing to hurt him again. His face grew mad. He threw his right hand down from his ear and quickly threw a haymaker at Darius, thrusting him forward into the dining room wall at a million miles an hour. Darius could only think of the sudden pain in his abdomen from the thrust of Tommy's arm. He wanted to vomit right then and there. He then felt a large sting in his back as he was thrusted against the wall. He even felt the wall buckle and crack. And it just so happened that the wall broke under such intense pressure from Tommy's thrust. Darius went flying through the wall and landing just outside of it. His feet hanged over the broken edge of the wall inside the dining room. Darius stared up to the blue sky, having landed on the deck. "Holy fuck..." was all Darius could say. But with the footsteps of Tommy walking closer to him, Darius sat up, rubbing his back. He winced at the pain, looking down at his lap. He looked up at Tommy with a bit of fury in his eyes. He wiped blood from his forehead. He stood up from the broken wall, taking another step into the dining room. He changed his grip on his sword and pistol. He cracked his neck once more, tilting his head to the right. He straightened his neck. He dropped his sword and held tightly onto his pistol. "Time to fall," Darius said before rushing off towards Tommy. |

Truth be told, though Mizuki did enjoyed the little bit of company she had thus far with Darius, Reo wasn't totally in the wrong when he spoke about the young man's antics. Given those, she actually had a pretty hard time figuring out what could have possibly happened for him to disappear like this with such surprising speed shortly after he said he was going to get his weapons back. Then again, he... did somehow come back to the cells while he was searching for them, so the possibility of him somehow losing himself on this ship wasn't that strange of an idea. However, once she heard a loud and sudden scream coming from one of the doors that led inside the ship's other rooms. It was a piercing noise, a male voice that shouted out loud that its owner wasn't an idiot. To that, Mizuki would look towards wherever the voice came from, which was from a closed door, then would blink as she then heard a crashing noise. After hearing Reo's opinion, she would simply smile and cross her arms, replying to him: "And I will not doubt your judgment. I suppose he got into a fight with the one who is screaming with such intensity." It was when she heard the gunshots, though, that she titled her head, her expression seeming to soften into something curious. Huh... So either Darius or the other person had a firearm in their possession. Judging by the screaming man's rage, she doubted he would have the weapon, seeing as such emotions usually deeply troubles accuracy. Even if it was Darius who had the gun, however, it left her pouting. "A gun? Oh, come on now... There is no need for him to kill anybody just like that. In fact, that goes for the rest of this lot too." She turned her head towards the deck for a second, still pouting as ever, then realized that a man with two pistols in his hand was actually heading towards his and Reo's way, more or less actually wanting to instead head towards the room where the screaming man was currently fighting against Darius. The tanned woman stared at him for a moment, her hand on her chin, then smiled, ignoring the man's order to move out of his way. "Hm, you seem familiar. Have we met before?" In the meanwhile of her talk, she would turn her eyes towards Reo and lightly move her head back, trying to silently gesture him to go on and head inside to help Darius out before he gets seriously hurt. She was not aware of who this pistol-wielding person was along with his reputation, but he was surely a lot stronger than all of the rest of the slavers around here. Most probably, he probably already killed some of the slaves that had tried to fight back against their owners. |
