The Outside

Physical Description:

Smoker is a very tall-looking and slender man. Possessing a rather lanky body that only but his clothes permit to look a bit heavier, his intimidating looks can leave many people to quickly fear for their lives. His grey hair is long and slick, about shoulder-length, and his eyes, grey of colour too, are menacing and full of violence. The rest of his facial traits are firm and mature, harbinger of full-blown chaos.

The rest of his body is mostly hidden by his clothing. He never dares to show what is behind his mask to his friends and comrades, for it is nothing more than a horrid scar which left him with a wicked and skeletal smile, ridden of the skin of his lower face. The scars underneath that covers the rest of his body too aches with pain everyday, reminding him of the many costs he has had to done to keep himself satisfied of the violence he causes.

Clothing:

His set of clothing is vastly distinct compared to the rest of his squads' despite their share of the colour black. Clad with dozens of ammunition of types and Smoke Grenades, his heavy armor completely covers a scarred body covered from neck to toe with white bandages, hiding gruesome past wounds and at least a dozen stitches. On his back stands his trusty weapon, The Mist Gun, and on his hips are holstered his Twin Pocket Shotguns.

Accessories:

A mask covers the lower part of his face to hide the gruesome scar that left his mouth and jaw skinless. The mask is black and grey, and only permits Smoker to breath from very small holes that were punctured onto its sides. Some say that the mask is a source of nightmares for many of the soldiers that work underneath him.

The Inside

Personality

Smoker's personality is a rather complicated mess. Before his squadron was all but cruelly decimated in front of his very own eyes by soldiers of the Navy, and then told by his closest friend to believe that this was all but a mere usual thing to witness when in war, the man was only but a normal boy, named Marcus, who believed the world could be a better place to live within. Kind and generous, the boy was quite friendly and social, and was, overall, a great person to hang around with.

However, once all of the previously mentioned events happened, he changed completely, turning from Marcus, an innocent boy scout, to Smoker, a cold and brutal murderer. In combat, out of revenge for his fallen squad-mates, he has never shown any mercy to the Marines, often bringing them in front of their friends before shooting a hole right through their neck to watch them gargle in pain. Some argue that his personality is so cruel that he barely acts like a Revolutionary anymore and almost resembles a heartless Pirate. His leadership is also often contested. Though he leads to the Smoke Screen Legion of the Revolution, his methods of command are seen as deeply unorthodox and almost unnecessarily forceful, leading his men with fear rather than encouragement, unlike a great part of Golden's own style of leadership.

Despite this, never before has the man been so conflicted in his acts. More often than not, the soldier constantly asks himself if what he is doing is truly right and what he and his friend Golden have become were worth the cost. Though he is more cruel in his acts, he does understand that he is nothing more than a weapon of the Revolution and something that the Marines are supposed to fear, which is a contrary to Golden, who acts similarly to him, but is a less frightening leader.

The emotions he once had for Golden are also completely gone. Though he still considers her as a friend, the girl that came back from the Devil's Pirates were nothing like her old self, and so, it left him forever heartbroken. Now, he only sees her as nothing more than a friend that he needs to protect, which often sprouts rumours about him being Golden's watchdog more than anything else.

History

Smoke Screen Blues

Weaponry & Equipment

Weapon Name: The Mist

Weapon Class: Kyouki [Dangerous Weapon]

Description: The Mist is a strange, oddly twisted-looking weapon that harbours the looks of what appears to be some sort of very old rifle. Incredibly rusty and antique-looking, its plating is made of a cryptic metallic material that seems to have been engraved with many runes of old. A various quantity of tubes comes out of its surface to, once in a while, spit a thick, though small barrage of mist in the air, like the weapon itself is sick of its own existence. It was found by a young Smoker after a battle against the Marines, held by a still-fresh corpse of a fallen Marine officer whose body was corrupted and twisted, black in colour.

Though many considers this weapon to be nothing more than pure garbage due to its rather uninformative appearance, it is in combat that this weapon truly shines. When used, the weapon has the ability to shoot out a thick mist around the user and an area to completely blind an opponent and make himself almost completely invisible to them. Each bullet shot also causes not only extreme damage, but also creates even more smoke which have an effect similar to those that Smoke Grenades create. When completely surrounded by the smoke, the target will lose 50% of its entire accuracy stat.

------------------

Weapon Name: Twin Pocket Shotguns

Weapon Class: Kyouretsuheiki [Strong Weapon]

Description: Rather simple weapons in design, the Twin Pocket Shotguns are both old models that were once mass-produced by the legendary, yet now long-dead weapon manufacturer United Arms, and were both purchased by Smoker a long time ago after he was able to meet up with his once-friend Golden the moment she returned from her hellish journey with the Devil's Pirates.

Small, yet deadly precise, these small shotguns act similarly to sawed-off shotguns. Both crafted with Adam Wood, they are also sturdy and strong enough to act as small batons that can be used in melee combat.

Other than that, no real other abilities can be seen from these weapons. In fact, their lack of complexity has always made him question his lack of want to get them replaced with higher gear. It has been a very long time since the man has forgotten the very memory that tied him with these antique pieces of history.

------------------

Weapon Name: Smoke Grenades

Weapon Class: Kyouretsuheiki [Strong Weapon]

Description: The Smoke Grenade is a handy device that Smoker has created for himself to use in combat. It was once designed to only be used for pure ambushes, but, eventually, it led for him to use it as a signature weapon for his squadron, the Smoke Screen Legion.

The device is rather easy to use. Tube-like in appearance and composed of a steel-like colour, a button stands at its top. Once pressed, the device will then start to unleash a rather thick smoke around it quite quickly after about three seconds, meaning that it has to be thrown towards a certain direction for maximum effect. When surrounded by the smoke, the accuracy of the target is lowered by -25 points per grenade thrown.

Usually, in combat, these devices will be thrown in masses by the Smoke Screen Legionnaires to make sure that the enemies they face will end up unsettled and confused by the situation. However, these can also work against them as their steel colour makes them quite noticeable in combat. Also, given that they are made of plain Steel, they can be shot down and destroyed quite easily to cause a commotion within friendly troops.

For Marines, the character must be of Commander rank. For Bounty Hunters they must be recognized to be of Median level. And for Revolutionaries they must be of Protester level.

By taking this trait, the possessor is granted (X*15) points worth of crew members, these crew members can be any mixture of race, with the exception of Cyborg, so long as they do not exceed the point maximum for their crew.

These NPCs start with 20DP of stats to be distributed however one likes, and gain another 20DP worth of stats for each rank up the possessor has above the base level required.

Also, at certain levels of rank, the possessor of this trait is granted one sub commander that possesses double the stats of a singular one of their regular crew NPCs. For Marines this rank is Commodore, for Pirates it is High Threat, for Bounty Hunters this is Renowned, and for Revolutionaries this is Belligerent.

Profession Traits

  • Advanced Marksman Specialist (3 Traits) - Those who specialize in long-range fighting such as snipers or gunners and are complete experts at their trade receive a +4 bonus to their accuracy stat until they have earned 90 DP total. After that, their expertise increases, and they gain a bonus +8 to their accuracy stat. They can also get a buff that could sacrifice their other stats to increase their accuracy stats with a 1:1 ratio for 3 posts, the stats being reduce should only be one stat. This doesn’t include Fortune stats(check the Stats Boosting Technique Rule). Furthermore, techniques made by this character that involve a greater maximum range than 30m may be up 2 ranks higher than the character's current maximum.

Haki Traits

  • Haki: Observation (King Level) (5 Traits) - Characters with this trait gain the ability to discern other sentient beings beyond the realms of the basic five senses. They can pinpoint the presence of sentient beings within a 50m radius without physically seeing them and can register ten attacks through the Color of Observation. This trait offers the "King's Observation" Trait technique.

  • Haki: Titanic Armaments (5 Traits) - Character's with titanic armour have the power to can pierce through the powers of devil fruits to touch the real bodies of their users. This power works through physical contact. When in contact with such a devil fruit user their powers, and in the case of Logias apparent invincibilities, do not manifest upon the area of contact. This manifestation returns when the holder of this trait loses contact with the devil fruit user. This trait offers the "Titanic Armor" Trait technique.

  • Haki: Conquering King (6 Traits) - Twice per thread, the user is given the grace of commanding one, simple act which all other sentient beings of less than half the users fortune must obey (An instant knockout). If it is between half and 3/4 of the users fortune they are affected heavily by exhaustion, however they don't have to follow the order (51% to 55% is a danger zone where you are stunned temporarily). If it is 3/4 to a whole or more of the user's fortune then it will have little to no effect. The range of Conquering King is 75 meters within the area of the users order.

Saving Traits

  • Fated (1 Trait) - When the character earns a trait point, they gain 1.5 trait points instead of the traditional 1. Fated acts as a banking system. These traits are usable whenever the taker sees fit. X does not have to be a whole number, and due to the nature of fated can be X or X.5 traits.

You have way too many traits and you can't use fated if the character is using a DF, not too mention I see no real point in a static character having fated/patience in the first place.

I'm operating on the belief that traits should be accurate to the DP total the character has and isn't basically treated as an 'anything goes' sandbox, but if I'm wrong the nvm about it, just let me know. I don't think I am though since I'm sure you made sure NPC traits matched the DP totals whenever you graded them.
